Review Danny's Wun Tun Restaurant - Richmond

My photo shows what $73.00 buys you from Danny's. Look, I'll be straight up by stating that the service is super friendly, and the location clean and welcoming. As for the food, well, it's tasty! Sadly, none of this can save Danny's from a mere two star rating, because there is absolutely no excuse for charging that much for what you're getting when you take your business there. $73.00 for three entrees and a soup. My mother insisted, despite the prices, but upon seeing the tiny portion of meat for such a huge price tag, I think I've convinced her to try a different place. I doubt we will be back. Such a shame for a place that used to serve up a lot more for a lot less.

The lunch special is a really good deal! I picked soy chicken and bbq pork and both meats were seasoned and cooked to perfection. For $11 it’s a really filling meal. Can’t wait to come back and try more dishes!

I am probably slightly deaf from the owner being so loud. My table literally got a headache and couldn’t stay for more than 3 minutes. If you enjoy dining with intense loud noises from the owner AND customers, this place is PERFECT.

I hate to give this review. I had been going here since prior Covid. They used to have great food quality and decent pricing, however quality had gone down and they are charging way too much and for much less now. I ordered the roast pork with rice and the meat was paper thin. Ridiculous.

Smallest bowl of won ton noodle soup, for the price. BBQ pork, very dry. Owner, has a very loud, barking, voice. Not a pleasant experience to dine in! Women, server’s, are nice and soft spoken. A big contrast, to him! He needs to chill out!

Paid almost $20 for 5 pieces of meat and a plate full of oil and noodles. I go the Spicy Satay with rice noodles. Would not recommend.

I tried their shredded chicken fried rice for $13.95. I requested it to be extra spicy. We were charged extra for that. The rice portion is enough for 1 person. The rice was cooked well not too sticky or not too al dente. They had mixed in green peas and eggs. And the chicken tasted good too. Fyi- So when you ask them to make it spicy they don't add anything to the rice they charge you for a sauce as shown in the picture. Will definitely visit here to try more food.

Food is good. Staff are friendly but very obnoxious. Reaching over n grabbing plates n cleaning up trying to push you out the door.
