Review Snowy Village Dessert Cafe - Richmond

Excellent portion. I can be satisfied eating a large bingsu by my self. The mango is always sweet! The ice is made of some kind of cream. Very soft and fluffy. It’s not like the other places that just serve crushed ice. Portion is great. Packaging is cute. Comes with a silver bag that helps retain the cold.

Ordered injeolmi red bean takiyaki Super disappointed It's still crispy yet burnt and the injeolmi inside is hard rock (seriously), bitter shell as it is burnt. How can you overcooked the outside inside still not cook?! Besides the food, customer service sucks as well. Came in, no greeting, no asking what I want. Didn't come here for a few years. Quality and customer service went very downhill. Owner no longer Korean. Debit only Take out only I will get apple pie at the mcd next time if I crave for crispy food Not going to come back anymore

My favorite place to get taiyaki!! They're 3 for $10 - super crispy and delicious and flaky 🥰🥰🥰 I got three different flavors: red bean custard and injeolmi (Korean rice cake that's soft and chewy). It's take out only right now but I couldn't wait to get home to eat them, they taste the best fresh so I devoured them in the car 😅 Taiyaki's are also known as bungeoppang in Korean as I recently learned from JK and Jin's post 💜

Ordered 3 taiyaki, injelomi redbean, custard, and pizza. This store is takeout only so we didn’t eat it until we got home, only to find out our pizza taiyaki had absolutely no filling in it. If it was out of stock they should have told us instead of just giving us a plain taiyaki. The custard taiyaki was also barely filled. Used to love this snowy village. Will be going to other locations. Very disappointed.

Solid place for dessert after dinner. It's a great location as it is on "Eat"Street, aka Alexandra Road where many restaurants are located. I'm a big fan of their shaved ice as it is milky and sweet. Highly recommend the mango bingsu and green grape bingsu

I've been going to Snowy Village for years and really enjoyed the dessert here, but I came here last night (July 30th at ~9:30pm) and had a dreadful take-out experience. We'd ordered 2 Mango Bingsus, and both separately had their own issues. First off, there was a super long strand of hair that was basically infused with the top of one of the desserts (photos attached). I don't normally get grossed out by these, so we decided to just pick it off, took some photos, but begrudgingly ate it anyway. However, my friend (who ordered the same thing) found a piece of plastic near the bottom of her order of Mango Bingsu (photos also attached). Literally 2/3s of our orders had either been contiminated in some capacity (the Taiyaki had been the only thing that seemed perfectly fine). I've had good experiences up until last night, but this had been absolutely unacceptable. I'd recommend finding other Bingsu spots around the area if you'd like a better shot at a clean dessert.

Tasty dessert, we got the cookies and creme and it even came in a thermal bag to keep cold. The guy serving us was not very cheerful but it's whatever.

Completely incompetent staff. We placed our order, waited for 10 mins, then went back into the car to wait since it was taking unexpectedly long. A couple mins later we walk back in to pick up the order and see the empty store with the two staff just sitting in the back eating or playing on their phone, and our food no where to be seen. Turns out they completed forgot about us and our order (thought we were new customers and tried to take our order again lol?). When we finally got the food we found out the taiyaki was raw..

This is the richmond location. My experience with this place wasnt very pleasant and here's why. When I arrived at this place it was crowded which is not a problem for me. When I meet the staff ask if the long line for dine in or just take out because I like to dine in and don't mind the wait. The staff said "no matter you dine in or takeout its the same line. Just tell them when I get up to the cashier" to me which is fair enough so I line up. When I finally get up to the cashier I said "we like to dine in" the cashier said "are we in a waiting list". I said "no what waiting list?" When the staff brought up a waiting list to us cuz there was 2 seats open just in front of us. Another lady lining up behind us said oh I want to dine in too and took the board right off the staff hand, where he was about to pass it to the cashier to write my name on. Then the staff look at me and just gave the seat to the lady behind me which ive been lining up before she was in there. The lady speaking mandarin maybe was treated with priority. But for sure no matter how good your desert would be your restaurant at least be organize and treat people fairly because this rating is your customer service. Hope you understand how I feel when you line up for something and the staff ignore you and serve someone else because they speak mandarin.

It is the best place we've been so far for bingsoo in Edmonton! They don't cheap out on ingredients. Lots of mangos on top and in the middle and milky! They can improve on the speed a bit. Half an hour wait but I assume they will be faster since it's soft opening. Definitely coming back for the watermelon and matcha!

I don't even give this location 1 star! (Langley). I understand that restaurants do get busy, but to wait for over an hour for an order is ridiculous. The manager/owner is VERY RUDE!!! She needs to learn some customer service skills. I would never go back to this location and I don't recommend this location to anyone!!!!

So we were at the Edmonton location and at first we had to take it to go as there were no table available at the time. As we waited for our order and a table freed up, we sat down. I lined up and order the honeymelon to stay and told the cashier we had one to go and would like to eat in the order out one. The cashier let me know that they would have it for a fine in. When the order came out, it was in a take out container. We noticed the portion was a smaller . I don't think we would go back.

Seems okay so far. The red bean topping on the bingsoo was very undercooked, leading to lots of solid red beans. I would have enjoyed a little extra condensed milk as a topping on the bingsoo. Taiyaki was excellent. I love the little sugar granules sprinkled on the top. Could turn the music down several notches. I could not hear the person i was ordering from.

They're yummy and that's why I keep going back. I go at 9:30pm and they're sold out.. I go at 5:30pm and they're not open (unlike the hours stated). Definitely disappointed.
