Review Steveston Bakery Ltd - Richmond

Tried this place today with my partner and doggie. She painstakingly decided on a lemon custard tart as everything looked so delicious. Cries of ecstasy could be heard as she described the crust as “out of this world”. The lemon filling delicately balanced the line of not too sweet nor sour. The only thing I would haves likes would be a dash of salted lemon zest to round off the flavour. Price point was an added bonus. Coming in at under $3, I would be happy to bring a dozen of these to a party (post pandemic!). Looking forward to trying other treats here and supporting a local business!

Good place to find a place to sit down and have a snack. The cookies, cakes and other bakery items are fairly priced compared to other local coffee shop. The shop isn’t too big but there’re a few tables inside and outside of the shop for short-time visit.

My husband and I go to Steveston Bakery every week as they have great sandwiches and pastries. We purchased a grilled cheese and ham sandwich and soup combo today and within a couple of bites of the sandwich, we could taste something was off. We took apart the sandwich and there was mold in it. It goes without saying, we're quite disappointed.

The scones and muffins are absolutely delicious, we love coming early in the morning for a scone. The food is also delicious, excellent, inexpensive little spot in the heart of Steveston. The coffee is a bit weak, but other than that, no complaints. The staff are also always lovely. Overall one of our favourite spots!

Love this place! If you are ever in Steveston, you must stop by and grab a bite and some sweets. Everything we tried was super delicious, the owners are warm and welcoming and the prices are of great value. The almond cake and croissants were soft and perfectly flaky, the butter tart filling was balanced and not overly sweet and the crust was to die for! Definitely going back, probably today, less than 24 hours later and I want more!

A great bakery with old school pricing! The choco pecan tart, delish! And less than $3!

Every Thursday since last summer my friend (client) and I enjoy a delicious bowl of soup and always feel so welcomed and at home while we are here. It brings us both a sense of peace and warmth how lovely the staff and other patrons are. Last week they didn't have any of their mouth watering fruit tarts which was okay because they have so many other amazing desert treats. To our surprise and delight our regular girl that helps us, brought us over a done up fruit tart for the both of us! It was an experience and a time we both won't be forgetting any time soon. Thank you!!

First rate turkey and bacon wrap ...great value too

Friendly staff, and amazing pastries. By far the best and most inexpensive eclair in BC is the Kahlua Eclair.
Roman Eliab
Always accommodating staff and bottomless coffee.

Overpriced for a plain sandwich and soup. Nothing special. I could make better at home. $14.50 mediocre sandwich and soup, Used to be great and affordable. Carrot cake was stale too.

This is a rare occasion where Ben and I went to a bakery cafe. Our initial plan was to have coffee at McDonalds in Steveston Village before our morning walk. We were not aware that the McDonalds there had closed. So, we went to Steveston Bakery. We had the small coffee which allows one free refill. It is strange that the large coffee does not have the free refill.

We visited Steveston to check out the West Dyke Trail. That was fun, and the Terra Nova Adventure Playground was a hit.

There are several spots for treats in Steveston. Unfortunately, my top two choices were closed Mondays. So we ended up here. It was underwhelming.

This bakery is delectable! We drive out from surrey just to come here!! My only complaint was that we went in the evening and they were sold out of the chocolate pecan pie. Our own fault, next time we will go earlier or order in advance. Definitely try the chocolate pecan pie, you can also get the tart size which is so so so yummy. The German chocolate cake was also so good I could eat the whole thing!

From the outside, this bakery won't appear to anyone as anything more than the village bakery that's been around for years. While both of those points are true, it's what's inside that counts!

Having been here many times, I've always been happy with the baked goods available. The bread has always been fresh, the pastries always pleasant, and the old village chatter & gossip from the patrons soothing to my soul. Sure the coffee is just okay and the prices while reasonable, nothing to write home about, but again it's more than that.

On my recent visit, their debit machine was down & I had no cash (who carries cash anymore). While I was accepting the fact that I wasn't going to be enjoying a cinnamon bun & coffee as I usually would, the clerk behind the counter asked if I lived nearby and told me just to come back later in the week when I was able to grab some cash or possibly when their machine would be working. I was floored. In fact, I tried to turn the kind gesture down! Now how many places provide people an IOU and trust them on faith to do the right thing?

Darn straight you know I'll be back here. Not only to pay, but to continue to provide this gem business!

Ordered the chocolate pecan tart and chocolate brownie. There was something off with the taste of both of them, it was a strange after taste. Other then that it was reasonably pri

Wrong cake. They gave me the wrong cake for a 21st bday far from the flavour I wanted and they don't have good customer service

I Love The Freshly Baked Bread and Good Serves. I love the bakery's freshly baked bread and good serves. I love their friendly staffs serves regardless of my silly request. They will make any bread into any type of sandwich. If you are will to pay for the request, they will do anything, like take a baguette bread and turn to whole thing into a long sandwich. Do not forget that it will cost you the price of three sandwich.

Another thing, I like about the bakery is that they have free internet as long as you have a shaw account and any to create one. The tables are a little light weight and it can move with a little hit. Most of the people who eat their are seniors who live near there. The seniors are very friendly.

I like all of their breads and they will slice them up for you with no additional charge. I see family and kid eating there. It is a family place.

Steveston Bakery voted Best Bakery in Richmond. They are an awesome bakery. You cannot get a better value for your dollar for lunch or breakfast anywhere else in Richmond and especially Steveston. They are open seven days a week and they bake fresh everyday. Their cheescake is to die for - yummmm

Love this place!. My family and I are are vegetarians, and it is always difficult finding eggless cakes. We then discovered the Steveston Bakery. The bakers make amazing cakes that are so tasteful and delicious. We are never disappointed with the cakes, and always come back for more. We are so lucky to have found this place and will continue giving business! :)

I love the Steveston bakery! I highly recommend the soups, the fruit and fiber muffins and their Eccles cakes. The soups are always homemade and chunky, it's always a treat. A warning though that they stop making soups during the summer. It's a fun place to drop in on as you get to enjoy good food and see all the old timers sipping their coffee.

Great bakery with daily specials. Some loaves of bread go on special for $0.99

A new find for me this time is the Steveston Bakery but it is definitely not new because it has been around since 1989.

After staying inside all day, I decided to venture out and grab a late afternoon snack at Steveston Bakery. There were a couple of people who came in to buy some baked goods and two other ladies drinking tea at a table. Considering it was an hour before closing on a Sunday, it was pretty good. My Strawberry, Spinach, Feta, Pecan Salad, at $2.50 for a small, was really good. The quality and the size together would have easily cost double in most casual restaurants. The dressing was tangy and light, and everything was just very fresh. The Tuxedo Cake was also delicious, not too sweet with cake that was soft and moist. I loved the multi-layered treat, especially the shaved chocolate on the side and the chocolate frosting layer on top. The Nanaimo Bar was wonderful as well. It was a perfect amount of sweetness that did not leave you grossed out. I loved the custar

This place got an ordinary name – Steveston Bakery located in Steveston, ordinary decorations but with extraordinary bake goods. The women worked there were very nice, don’t expect things went fast like the Porto’s Bakery in LA. This is more like a family style bakery. I liked it. The raspberry danish was not as special compared to the almond slice. I wish I could go back later and try the other sweets, their counter have so

I was in Steveston to pick up some waffles from Damien's and decided to go for a small afternoon snack. I passed by Steveston Bakery and noticed a small sign taped to the window that read something like "Get a slice of pie for $0.99 with purchase of a regular coffee." It sounded like a good deal, so I went in to ask about details. Breads, cakes and other pastries were displayed behind glass counters and on the shelves. I quickly scanned the prices and they seemed pretty cheap, so I decided to get a lemon tart ($1.60) as well. It looked interesting with its uneven homemade crust, but unfortunately the taste was very disappointing. The lemon filling was bland with a barely distinguishable artificial lemon flavour. The crust had the strangest texture that was not flaky or crispy. It looked like a shortbread crust, but tasted like a soggy biscuit that was slightly chewy with no buttery flavour at all. The regular coffee ($1.58) was self-serve with a variety of choices. I opted for an organ

Steveston Bakery is a old timer in Steveston Village. It has been around since 1989. The sandwich board in front says that coffee is free from 5 to 6pm. A mural covers one of the wall in the bakery. There are baked goods from cake, muffin, pastries, cookies, bread and soup. Coffee is self service. We ordered large coffees since it’s just 20cents extra from the regular size. But the server told us that she will charge us the regular size price since refill is free when we dine in. We ordered four items to share. The bill came to $13+ including the coffees. Price is very reasonable here. Steveston Bakery accepts credit card. A poppy seed danish. The poppy seeds add little crunch in the texture. The apple tart is a bit hard to cut into half as the shell is quite hard; the filing is gooey sweet.
