Review The Canadian Brewhouse & Grill - Richmond

The Canadian Brew house Richmond is just 5 minutes walk from my home. We walk by from time to time and always image to having lunch in the restaurant's outdoor dining area. My friend and her husband came to visit us and we have lunch here. The overall ambience is great, outdoor area is bright and airy. We order a few plates to share with. The on tap beer is highly recommended, various flavour and a charm to taste buds. A nice place to hang out with friends & have a drink together.

Had a lovely lunch experience at the Canadian Brewhouse Grill! I got the one piece drunken fish and chips and it was a delightful experience. The seasoned fries were excellent as well and I wasn't expecting to say this but the tartar sauce was the real winner of the day. I totally ignored my ketchup and went wild in the sauce. They also have a diverse and excellent "express lunch" menu. It even has daily specials too! We're excited to come back for another lunch hour!

We have Misha as our server - BEST service have had in a long time. From my drink referrals to my food. Defiantly coming back not only for the food, but incredible service!!! Epic job during busy time. Quick efficient friendly service - wish i could see her real smile and not just the one through her eyes! Thank you Misha !!!

We found this place the night before we left to fly home. What an awesome sports bar. We ate outside on the patio, which is very cool. It is almost entirely enclosed, heated, with fake grass and clear glass enclosure. It wasn't too busy when we arrived. Our server was very good and attentive. Now to the good part, the food. They have a very large menu with many unique twists on food. For example the Brisket Shepherds Pie and Doritos Pizza are just a couple of examples. By the way both of them are very good. The restaurant was easy to get too. Parking was challenging since it is in a small mall area with many other stores. It took us a little bit to find the entrance. But it is definitely worth the stop.

The service is great here. The food is just alright. Had the beef and cheddar yorkies which tasted good but the portions were so small for the price. It is essentially 4 bite sized rounds for 15 dollars. So it's like 4 bucks a bite which translates to possibly getting premium a la carte sushi nigiri at another restaurant for the price you pay here. Also tried the Tuna Poke Bowl. The presentation was nice but the rice was not fresh at all. I am confident when I say their rice is not freshly steamed to order but was instead refrigerated and reheated because my rice had bits that were warm and soft while other parts were cold and clumped together and hard like it was unevenly heated in a microwave or something. They do have good beers on tap for only $2.99 a stein. They also have a Rita Challenge which is fun to try. Their seats are not cleaned as my booth had food crumbs and bits of hair on it when I was seated that I had to brush onto the ground. The picture is attached. Overall a mediocre experience.

Tried their prime rib special For dinner after work @ canadian brewhouse I had 8 oz prime rib with mashed potato and vegetables With tasteless ice tea --- i asked for medium rare, but It's well done...prime rib was so soft and too thin, But the gravy taste sour 🤔 --- mashed potato.. taste like Made with powder and gravy Taste awful, didn't eat it after one bite --- mixed veggies taste sour too 🤔 My hubby had 12 oz prime rib With cools light and clamato juice On side --- his prime rib look double Size as mine, taste better --- my hubby said.. his mashed potato taste like plastic 😅 --- his cool light look huge Because of i still not full yet 😅 We ordered Canadian maple Bacon favorite chicken wings --- dried small tasteless wings With tasteless ranch dressing With some veggies on side --- my hubby said.. it doesn't look Like one pound of wings to him I like their fast and friendly services. I also like their music, I felt like Having dinner at night club to me. I paid $76 + 18% tips

Service was a little slow at first but they were busy and seemed short on staff (aren't we all) the server we had was amazing sorry I can't remember his name was friday night. And the food was wicked. Got deep fried pickles and fajitas and the tankard was so frosty 🥰 a must go to if you like a sports atmosphere, good food, and beer.

Thought I would give this new restaurant another try and so glad I did! My beef and cheddar yorkies were delicious. 4 crisp little Yorkshire puddings filled with tender beef, gravy and melted cheese. Served with horseradish sauce. My partner had chicken nachos. They were bright and fresh. Portions are generous! Although it was busy, the friendly staff took the time to check on us and answered our questions. The menu is extensive so we are looking forward to our next visit. Kenzie, the manager is friendly and helpful. Great experience!

First time eating here and not impressed . Music was horribly loud . Could not hear my husband who was sitting directly across from me . It was so bad that I wanted to leave before my meal arrived and just walk out . We ended up moving tables which made it a bit better but my meal did not make up for it . Had the Montreal smoked meat sandwich which was ok but a bit greasy . Ordered gravy with the fries but the server never brought the gravy and the fries were pretty crappy anyways . Heard so many great reviews on this place so was disappointed for sure . Read a post where someone wrote it is kid friendly . I would never take a child to this place without ear plugs ! Nor would i take my elderly mother here for the same reason - just too loud .

When we first went there we were a little confused what to compare it to. Initially the prices seem high as I was comparing to boston pizza, but the good quality is much better and portions are decent value. They make a lot of their things inhouse, such as the pizza dough. Impressed that for this type of restaurant they serve some pretty nice vegetables like beets. The drinks are a good deal and I really like the weekly food specials - these are good value. We go frequently usually earlier in the evening mostly for the daily specials and service is normally good. One time they gave us the wrong wings, we didnt even notice but they brought us the correct order free of charge. The manager is a character but he clearly cares about the customers and is passionate about the food. Menu presentation needs work as its overwhelming the way the items are laid out and can be really confusing. Hope this place sticks around as good place for casual drinks and eats for group of friends and also very family friendly.

This place has the potential to be something great. I’ve been a total of 3 times. First time service and everything was great. Second time service and food was terrible. And third time was last night, Halloween and to check out karaoke for the first time. It was extremely weird. We weren’t greeted like I had been in the past. 2 waitresses both of which were completely dead (literally and not a costume) and no personality or assistance might as well have not been there. A bartender who was working his ass off, food running and everything and a food runner who was clueless. It was disappointing -again. I so want to give this place another chance it has potential. The whole restaurant can be great but yesterday was just... not fun.

What a great spot. The best steak, best beer and wine and Jodie and Lauren looked after us so good. Leaving tomorrow, wish we could visit them again. Thank you.

Food was okay. The servers are okay but don’t really confirm with you what you order so it does cause confusion, especially because it is quite loud in their. At the end of our meal it took a while to get our bill even though we pressed the buzzer. Also we asked for our left over fries to be packed up but they never made it back. Big disappointment for me....decent Gluten Sensitive/Free options but no GF Beer available!!! Maybe I’ll see if I can bring my own home brew GF beer next time. This place has good potential but is much rougher around the edges compared to places like Craft.

Went there last night, waiting to be seated staff said 'I'll be back" and left. When our friends arrived got a table for 4. Sat inside for 25 minutes with no server, we just Sat there and didn't even get served, we left without even getting a menu or offer of a beer. Absolute awful experience, and we pressed there server call button 7 times...WTF

Great service and yummy food. Laid back atmosphere and attentive serving staff.

So glad this place is in Richmond, we came for breakfast on Monday off the long weekend and had the Deep Fried French Toast and the Eggs Benny.... Our server Stephanie was awesome, they have a great call system on your table and an extensive Caesar menu that I'm looking forward to working my way through! I'll also have to come on a different night every time cuz the daily specials are right up my alley!

It's hard for me to judge given that I was there on Grand Opening Night and just the excitement at the chance of winning Super bowl tickets made the evening awesome. An added bonus as a Green Bay Packers fan I was on cloud 9 when I found out our server Destiny is the sister of James Starks

Dana has really been so solid for a waitress I am so stoked for her to take care of my table again! I have the pleasure of frequenting this establishment and I have always been impressed with the level of service I receive. The team makes me feel more like a friend than a patron and are always happy to pour me my favorite Heineken before asking! The menu is very large giving you lots of options, never boring. I recently won a fantastic Team Canada Jersey just for watching the game and I obtained a coveted 'Wings Club' Member card too! I love these additional bonuses that help really engage the public. To have a chance to win something just for being there while having a quick beer after work really adds to the environment - even if they didn't have these it would still be a great place! but luckily they do! I cant wait for the Tomahawk Steak Night in Feb! Thanks CBHRichmond you are a fantastic addition to Richmond!

Went for the first time yesterday - Wish we went to the new years party though. But I must say, you must get the nachos, bestest, biggest and tastiest nachos I have ever had!

Atmosphere is awesome, food is decent. Service is excellent. Only reason I did not give 5 stars is the beer could be colder. I will be a regular. Welcome addition to Richmond.

The food and service have been fantastic in my visits. Atmosphere is great TV's everywhere for the game. My only complaint is not enough craft beer on tap.

Wonderful experience. John was amazing!!!! One of our favorite places to eat and hang out.

We had a large group on a busy ufc night. Our waitress was great and super friendly despite how crazy busy it was. Our food was slow to come but understandable. Our bills were sorted out fairly quickly, definitely impressed with how organized our waitress was. Will definitely consider booking large events here again. Food was delicious! Loved my sangria as well.

Have heard great things about their wing Wednesdays so decided to go check it out. <br/><br/>Definitely a great sports bar vibe with many television screens, an extensive menu and many beers to choose from. Service was great and there is a call button if needed which is convenient. Menu prices are a tad over priced with entrees averaging at about $15. <br/><br/>The food..was not spectacular but not too bad. Was not impressed with the wings as they were small and definitely did not look a pound each. Great that they have the boneless chicken option and 20 flavours to choose from. Chicken quesadilla had a good filling but not enough sour cream and salsa given. The Canadian donair had a good helping of beef but too much cheese and had a lot of drippings and made it quite messy to eat. Crispy fries though. <br/><br/>Will I return? Maybe for a game as the vibe is great. Not my first pick for a meal though.

The Canadian Brewhouse is a pub that opened in Richmond a few months ago, in the new Central at Garden City plaza. The boyfriend heard about this place on the radio, and wanted to try it out. This post is a combination of two visits!

Went there when it opened about a week, service and foods were awesome. We tired their famous chicken wings pizza. It was so good. Will go back for sure!!

Love the food, love the friendly service, love the atmosphere! It's not a quiet time, but a good time! Best place in richmond for sports, UFC, and amazingly delicious & creative unique-to-the-Brewhouse drinks!!!

Much needed in Richmond. Finally a real sports bar in Richmond. Tons of TVs lots of food options and lots of beer and drinks. Staff is very pleasant and food is very good too. A little pricey but the portions are very big as well so makes up for the price. Have already been twice since it opened and will definitely be going back. Can't wait for hockey season to start. Well after a nice long summer that is. Hopefully menu will get put up soon. Will add next time I go if not up.
