We went there for dinner after work on February, 13, 2022. We had... 9 oz glass of 19 crimes shiraz red wine French onion soup --- not much onions and cheese But extremely salty 14 oz prime rib with baked potato --- they put way too much horseradish And sea salt on edge of prime rib, too salty for us, But the prime rib was so soft, juicy And tasty --- my hubby gave me 1/3 of prime rib to try --- baked potato was not enough Sour cream and way too much green onions, even we asked for without green onions 😅 Caesar salad --- not enough dressing --- crouton was extremely salty --- fried capers was extremely salty For us Steak Oscar --- I got extremely small, chewy And salty steak 😅 --- the sauce was too sour for me --- I like the scallops, prawns And hot crispy French fries We didn't try any dessert, Because of I still feel full From Korean lunch 😅 Our waitress always talk so loud, But fast and friendly services. Their cutlery was kind of dirty.

Underwhelmed. Been here a few times before pandemic and they had great tasting steaks but the dine out 2022 menu was a let down. Steaks were done right but the taste wasn't there, it was like home-made, not to it's high standards as I recall. Crab cakes could have been in a better shape or plating, as it was weirdly smeared aioli on the plate. Dessert were still sweeter than usual, it wasn't a special last course or unique to their restaurant. Really disappointed.

We had the prime rib with scallops & prawn oscar and 2 lobster tail dinners. Prime rib was cooked well, vegetables were excellent and the baked potato was good. Prawn and scallops tasted good but definitely did not get our money's worth Lobster was cooked perfectly however the dipping butter was disgusting. It tasted like oil.

Above average service and semi-average food compared to three years ago. We had the fillet mignon and rib eye. I remembered the experience and steaks better back then. That's why we returned last month. However, the cost did not match the quality and service. I believe the server was not well-acquainted with wines. We were suggested a wine that was not close to what we described (something similar to Martin's Lane). The service was still pleasant but not enough for a return unfortunately. I shall reminisce the past.

Service was fantastic by bartender Brandon (unsure about the name). He was friendly and hospitable. He was knowledgable on the bar menu and also offered us the Testing Menu. He also checked up on us often. HH California Cabernet Sauvignon 9oz $15 Please note that the HH wine on the menu is 6oz, 9oz is not listed. Great drink, very full bodied. HH Tuna Tataki $7 Pieces were smaller than expected but still good. Salad was great too. HH Crab cakes $10 The filling was good but I found the breading too hard, perhaps refried.

Just visited the Richmond CHOP location to celebrate my upcoming wedding with my fiancé and family & we were SO blown away by our served Carol and the quality of our food, drinks and customer care. Carol was so attentive and so sweet and polite and amazing at her job! The food was flavorful and delicious! We got seated in a private room which was such a wonderful intimate dining experience for the evening. We are so appreciative of our amazing server and the incredible cooks and the overall experience! 5 stars !! 🌟

Chops Steakhouse is one my favourites before. But my last visit was disappointing. I got the prime rib and the house salad. The steak was chewy not as expected however the salad was great. The service and restaurant was outstanding. They fully observed the social distancing protocol. I can see that every table are sanitized well.

The setting was nice, our server was nice and the food was good too. I got their Sirloin Oscar which was pretty interesting. I didn't find the balance between the steak and the sauce. Also the peppercorn sauce was not the typical sauce I normally get at other steak houses. Overall experience was good and the food was good but nothing "wowing". I'm glad we went their for dinner though. I took a picture of my girlfriend's plate which was just a plain steak with peppercorn sauce and the cheese dip.

Wasn't impressed by any of the service. Stood waiting at the front desk for awhile, they seemed confused as to why we were there? Finally led down to the dining room. The tunnel you walk through could use a good cleaning. It was dirty and gross looking. Maybe a fresh coat of paint? Was brought bread to start and waited about 20 minutes for some butter to go along with it. I didn't feel like a steak so I opted for the yorkies and a blue cheese salad as a meal. (Both from the appetizers section) The waiter laughed as if I had ordered something funny. The yorkies had clearly been pre-made and were extremely hard, cold and dry. The meat on them was the only thing giving them any warmth. The salad was meh. My boyfriends steak looked good. Too hungry to send things back and to be honest getting our server to come to our table was difficult enough..

Although my steak dinner was amazing, our group of 5 women in the customer service field, were very disappointed tonight. Two of us orders bottles of wine each. We were presented with a glass and the unopened capped wine bottle. Not opened for us, no chNxe for taste test and not poured for us not once throughout the entire evening. We were only given the choice of a potato, rice OR vegetable, not starch plus veggie as in every other restaurant I've ever been to. All 5 of us had steak dinners but when I asked if we could have some fresh ground pepper, our server brought this tiny mill and left it on the table for us. One of the 5 steaks was undercooked. Pleasantly she was presented with a fresh plate of prawns, side and a reheated steak, although still not cooked fully to my friend's liking but she was starving. I had been at a Chop Steakhouse & Bar in West Edmonton a few weeks ago and had received amazing service and incredible food. It's unfortunate that Richmond couldn't deliver, even a little bit.

Amazing food! My husband & I are staying overnight at the Sandman before heading to New York City. We started with some bread and the steak bites, then I had the citrus soy-glazed salmon along with a Strongbow and a couple of Amarettos on ice, hubby had the chicken and ribs with a few local IPAs. Everything was so mouth-watering. Meat and fish were cooked to perfection. Music was perfect and loved the decor. Will recommend to others! Also our server was great. She was friendly and took care of us throughout our meal. Great job!

We ordered peime rib, rib, bone in rib. All with medium rare cooked. All taste perfectly good, however, the stake for kid meal just as bad as before. We trusted service people that it should be really good meat and just because of way to cook. So we let kid to order the kid meal again, unfortunately, it just as bad as before. Kid never finish, instead just want to eat our steak.

It's our first time and we had such great experience. ���The staffs were very friendly and the manager even came to our table to check on us and chatted for a bit. The food was very tasty and has the right temperature when they brought it to our table....from the soup all the way to dessert. The ambience was also very nice and cozy. We will definitely come back perhaps in the summer when ur patio is open We have already recommended this place to our family and friends.

Service was blow par and roasted chicken was dry, the worst steak I've ever ate at fine dining. Steak was tuff, cold and lots of fat. Simply horrible experience , won't be back and would not recommend to anyone.

I love the prime rib! It’s was cooked to perfection. Server was really nice and had good suggestions esp on wine. Although we had to wait a little bit for the entree, it was worth the wait. My husband and I had a great time.

Horrible service with a limited menu. Was there with a party, would've been more understanding if it was busy in the place but nope, pretty much empty. Loved how the server had the nerve to come up to me and tried to get more money out of me.

Went for dinner with my husband.it was disappointing. I had steak and lobster tail, he had the steak with mushroom sauce. Steak was cooked to our looking but the lobster tail Cane with melted butter for dipping which made it bland tasting. Any other time at different restaurants it is served with garlic butter. Both our meals came with potato side but any vegetable was extra. I think for the price we are paying these should be included. The escargot we ordered for an Appy was also bland tasting. Could not taste any garlic in that as well. Overall I won't be going back.

Service is excellent! However, the food is a bit cold. I had a prime rib and French onion soup. The soup is just warmer than room temperature.

Never a bad meal, always polite staff, being room service or in the restaraunt. The food is always a looked forward to treat, especially after a long day flying, never varies in quality and flavour. Job well done people!

The server keep forgot our other or take him 30min just for water when we first sited... I order blue rare and came med rare and tough like some cheap place u buy it from... my fds order actually can't even cut in using a steak knife and have to change to something else. Not sure how they can call themselves "STEAKHOUSE"????

This was only our second time there but it did not fail to please. The Caesar salad is fabulous. The Petit Filet was delicious, cooked perfectly and my hubby's pasta with prawns was delicious. Waitress was attentive as well. Definitely recommend this establishment.

We were seated in a very dark area and a few of us had to turn on our cell phone lights to read the menu. Saw a few others at other tables doing the same. Later, the lights seemed a bit brighter. The service from our waitress was excellent. We were quite disappointed that a steakhouse would run our of prime rib at 6:00pm. Our meals were good.

The steak was awsome perfectly seasoned and cooked med/rare baked potato perfect and asparagus was awsome as well. I do have to agree with bar tender not knowing how to make proper drinks. We came from California and eat at steak houses quite often and this one was on our 10 list.
