Located in a strip plaza where most of the restaurants are open until the wee hours of the morning, even during the week. Service is so so but prices are good. This restaurant is somewhat less popular than others on the other end of the plaza.
The Dan Dan Noodles with Spicy Sauce were not the typical “dam dam” noodles type made with peanut butter. Instead, it was a bowl of noodles swimming in a pool of spicy oil. While the dish was spicy, it was still a very good bowl of noodles. We were able to take the spice.
Exciting flavours and fragrant spices. Food is Actually not that spicey. Very busy place with lots of young people but some families too so be prepared to wait. Lots of food are good for eating with beer. Not open for lunch (too bad!) Would come back to try more in the future.
This place was suggested by my parents' friend, and serves strong flavored Szechuan & Northern Chinese food. We ordered a few signature dishes including scechuan pepper fish (tasted GREAT) and a few other typical northern dishes. They also have the beef wrapped pancakes like Asian Legend, which tasted the same (yummy). Food is a bit salty for my taste and service is just adequate, dad ordered a beer but didn't give him a glass, do people drink from the bottle at a restaurant? I would recommend going with a few friends and try some different dishes. On a side note, I didn't enjoy the Leehom Wang's concert DVD cos there were too many girls screaming all the time.
The reason for the multiple visits is to try different dishes. So far, we have not been disappointed. I have not ordered anything on the menu that I didn't like. Hot Taste is my fave restaurant of all time, especially late nights or early mornings.
Ben decided to have his Birthday dinner with his family at Hot Taste since he read some great Chinese reviews online. I have already declare my love for super spicy food back here , so this is right up my alley. But that night we try to order half and half of spicy and non-spicy dishes since his mum can't handle spicy so I swear to come back with my "spicy friends" to try out more dishes =P They only open for Dinner at 4:30pm each day but close at 5:00am 7 days a week, so if you live in the Richmond Hill area and have a late night spicy food craving, that's your place (^_^) Stewed Spicy Duck The more it stewed in the pot, the spicier it gets. ♥♥♥ this, my fave dish of the night. At a lot of places, they give you a large pot with plenty of liquid but with barely any duck in it but it was quite a huge portion here although only served in a tiny wok. Nothing more refreshing after a bite of spicy duck =P Tsing Tao , a Chinese beer that pairs perfectly with spicy Szechuan food. Note:
