The vermicelli was especially soft here and I found it delicious! The satay wasn’t spicy and the beef was moderate. Overall, I really enjoyed the vermicelli though; its soft stringy texture was much appreciated.

Located in Times Square, it's one of the many options for lunch as my mom used to work in that area. I've never had a bad dish here! Everything I order (I usually go for one of their specials) has been delicious. I love coming here for lunch and afternoon tea. If you get their meals, it also comes with a soup and coffee/tea. I especially like their ice milk tea - not too sweet, not too strong, and not too milky. If you're in the area, definitely stop by!

Best comprehensive Hong Kong style cafe in the GTA. Excellent menu selection, friendly staff and fantastic value. I have been visiting Goldsor since 2004 and the quality has been super consistent. The baked casserole dishes, the staple of any "caa[4] caan[1] teng[1]", have never disappointed. The "guk[6] zyu[1] paai[4] faan[6]" (baked pork chop rice) is done just right - tender breaded pork chops, fried rice base, real pasta sauce and cheese topping. The fish cutlet/fruit salad is another one of my favourites - although I suggest that you ask for the dressing on the side, or forget the dressing altogether. You have to try the fries here too!

Best "Baked Pork Chop Rice" ever. I would rate this 5/5 but I have only ever eaten 1 dish at Goldsor. They make, hands down, the tastiest Hong Kong style baked pork chop rice (direct translation) that I've had in Toronto. Large portion, lots of sauce, rice cooked with just the right amount of egg, plenty of pork chop cut into medium sized pieces, lack of funky orange colouring make this my favorite dish at the place. I go religiously every few months and still have trouble resisting ordering the same thing over and over again. The combo upgrade for around 3$ more includes a soup, warm dinner roll, and a drink. You'll have way too much food in the end or a small box of lunch to go the next day. Highly recommended.

Located in the Times Square plaza, this place has been a fixture in the area. They cater to the Hong Kong style of western cuisine with a breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner menus. I went there for breakfast one time and it stood out for being really poor. However, during lunch time their baked pork chop spaghetti and sirloin steak keeps the customers happy and coming back for more. It's not the cheapest HK cafe out there but there is quality to be found in their menus.
