This was a visit to one of my favourite sushi places in the Richmond Hill area. I haven't visited this place for many years but this is the first time blogging about it. This sushi restaurant has continued to survive and thrive since my first visit back in 2004. My work colleague and I were running short on time for an afternoon meeting and decided to revisit our co-op memories for a quick lunch.
My friend recommended and took me to this little restaurant for lunch. My friends recommend their salmon. I ended up getting a chirashi don. I thought it was very well done for the inexpensive price you're paying for. The sashimi in the chirashi don was very fresh and it had a nice variety. The chirashi don came with free miso soup and dessert (either green tea ice cream or Yakult type drink) which we didn't expect. The waiter and waitress were both very nice and polite. I would definitely come here again to try their other menu options.
Fresh! Friendly Service! Quality! Great Value! Will definitely be back : )
Awesome service delicious food. I'd recommend this place to anyone!
AMAZING. This small and hidden sushi restaurant often slipped my eyes as it didn't seem like any place special from the outside. To my surprise it has been absolutely delicious every single time I've been there. The sushi is always fresh and the staff are always so friendly. The price for sushi here is also pretty great for the quality. Would definitely recommend for anyone who is looking for a not so formal and fast sushi meal.
Good sushi, but not the best. However, it's great value and the best bang for the buck outside of an all-you-can-eat Japanese restaurant.
Food is ok but... Unfriendly services....
To be honest, I was a bit disappointed with Sapporo Sushi. I had a lot of hope and expectation for it since I had heard of good things about it (current 90% ratings on Urbanspoon!). Their staff is made up of Japanese people which means that the food is authentic.
Sapporo Sushi is indeed a restaurant that somehow manages to serve higher quality food at a very, very reasonable price.
...what makes this one different is that they serve the handrolls with crispy nori, and with the right rice to salmon ratio, it does not make the handroll soggy. The "kick" from the spicy sauce makes a big difference as well. For almost
Lot's of restaurants in this area, but we decided to try this tiny Japanese restaurant for lunch. After receiving a small appetizer Kitty tried the double dragon with a black dragon roll and a red dragon roll, with spicy or crispy hand roll. I like the name of this bento and it also looks pretty cool as well. The only downside is just the salad as a side. I tried the salmon bento with salmon sashimi, salmon & eel sushi, California & spicy rolls, spicy or crispy hand roll. Lot
