Review Covernotes - Richmond Hill

Covernotes has a beautiful, cozy atmosphere that I can't get enough of. There's a selection of classic and contemporary art on the walls that are changed every couple of weeks. Tons of books on the shelves. They have a huge selection of teas. I had the Ontario Ice Wine and loved how I could taste every fruit/spice that was in the mix. I also tried their chicken club sandwich, with everything cooked to perfection. I highly recommend this place.

Love it! Absolutely an amazing place! Coming from Scandinavia this feels exactly like home. The coffees taste really great and the food was prepared on site and came out tasty and delicious! I would totally recommend the Avocado Toast (slightly spicy) and the Breakfast Bagel! The lighting in the shop is slightly dark, but we choose the window because we prefer it to be a little brighter. We love the details of the brick walls and the beautiful paintings! And lots and lots of books! Be sure to support this local business during these difficult times!

Amazing place. Great atmosphere. Really cool idea to have books in the coffee place. You can take one and browse through it as you enjoy great Flat White:) Sandwiches and scones are fantastic. Pastries also not too bad. Loved their playlist on the background. It felt old school and quite diverse. Hats off to the barista es well. One of the few places where they still try to make beautiful coffee! It became our go to place👍🏻

This place was the one of my Want to go list, and My husband & I finally visited Saturday afternoon. I’m so impressed with this cafe’s atmosphere, interior design, lots of tables and menu selection. They also have patio, free wifi and chill inside which is good to stay during hot summer season. However, the drinks I ordered were not as good as other small cafes. The shaken espresso tasted like just having milk and the Pina colada was like greasy coconut oil, it didn’t taste strawberry like the description on their menu. It should be improved. Also, the warmed up brownie was not a finger food, so it definitely had to be served with fork for sure before I requested. Even though this cafe is kind of a Self service place, the coffee and sweets are pricey. The amount I paid for one brownie, shaken espresso and Pina colada all together was around $20. It’s literally pricey. For me, I will visit here again but won’t have special drinks. Sitting in the patio with just regular coffee will be enough.

Their avocado toast is just amazing. Don’t forget to add eggs and bacon on the toast. I like how the shop owner decorates the shop, it feels cozy and very relaxing.

A cute little cafe with drinks, food and baked goods. There are books everywhere as well as seating inside and out on the patio, if you want to study (they have wifi and some outlets) or read or chat for a bit. They had some fall seasonal drinks which I enjoyed. They do have a 1.5 hour seating limit which gets enforced when it gets crowded, typically around lunch time.

The coffee was ok. Cookie was excellent. Service was good. They have a lot of seating inside and out. They also have a collection of books to read.

The Gatsby Crepe contained fresh diced tomatoes, spinach, ham, egg, green onions, and cheddar. It was quite large and nicely made! All the ingredients were fresh and you could really taste the homemade feel of it. I wish they added more cheddar to it. It was a little plain for me.

On a hot summer day, I decided to walk along the historic streets of Richmond Hill and stumbled upon Covernotes, carrying a heart full of curiosity. Covernotes’ storefront is a restored high school in the Town of Richmond Hill from the late 1800s, which, currently adjoins the Richmond Hill Centre for Performing Arts. The architecture has gone through a lot of fires and rebuilt quite a few times. In the decade, the building has been reformed, expanded and repainted to fit the town’s modernization plan. However, the aged, rustic aura is still recognizable. It must be quite a luxury to go to school then. I visualize and assume, there must only be a minimal amount of students going to school back then, and all age groups in the same room, learning same things because it does look a bit small compared to the schools we attend nowadays. The owners are very sup

Covernotes has quickly become my favourite go-to place for tea and studying. It’s a very cozy small-town café decorated with a lot of art pieces and tons of books in the backroom area. The selection of loose leaf teas is exciting (must try them all!), and the service is always so personable. There is also free wifi available.

My work takes me north of Toronto to York Region quite often and I had to tell you about this lovely coffee house in Richmond Hill. The coffee and treats were excellent!

Located at 10268 Yonge Street in Richmond Hill, Covernotes has quickly become my favourite go-to place for tea and studying. It’s a very cozy small-town café decorated with a lot of art pieces and tons of books in the backroom area. It’s also a quick away from the Yonge/Crosby bus stop. The selection of loose leaf teas is exciting (must try them all!), and the service is always so personable. There is also free wifi available.

This coffee house is a little lacking in number of outlets though, so it would be best to make sure your laptop/electronics are well-charged before coming in for an extended study or work session!

AVOCADO AND AGED CHEDDAR SANDWICH
: I LOVED THIS SANDWICH, and I will be back for more!
