Review Tangerine Asian Cuisine - Richmond Hill

The photo says it all. Craziest part was that there was 3-4x the amount of the noodles that I ended up chucking beforehand. I tried my best to salvage whatever chicken I could find amongst the hellfire of noodles they gave me. When I opened the lid, there was an entire BRICK of noodles shaped to the dimensions of the container. I cannot believe how bad this restaurant is. Staff are miserable to put it lightly. Spend your money elsewhere… there are no redeeming qualities about the restaurant and it’s staff. Sorry.

Was pretty disappointed because your store wasn't open within the posted hours. Can't comment on the food because you weren't around. Would recommend calling first before dropping in like I did since they simply may not be open, regardless of what the posted hours say.

Absolutely horrific customer service. 1. I walked in and the staff for no reason at all greeted my daughter and I so rudely . My daughter (11yrs) was deciding what she wanted and she couldn’t do quick enough for this lady. 2. I ordered cantoneas chicken chow mein , it was literally a pool of sauce. My daughter had to dig under the sauce for noodles with literally 2 slithers of chicken. I addressed this with the front staff and they called out an older man that appeared to be the owner or manager. He said thats how it was made and he didn’t ask me to come into his restaurant, that i had come in voluntarily. I was completely taken away of the garbage of response he gave me. What kind of business owner says that to a customer. The food was not edible and absolute trash. Save your money and support a business that actually care about quality and customers. I will NEVER give this restaurant my business again and I SO NOT recommend this restaurant in any way.

No customer minded business. Visited around 1230pm no one in the restaurant for lunch. All 3 staff were sitting down and looked at me for few seconds...wonder why....weird...and advised to be seated. Washroom were locked and asked for the key and they were speaking in different language each other......I assume they don't want their customers to use their Washroom. Dinner menu were introduced and we asked for lunch menu. The waitress walked away without a word and came back dropping the menu on the table and again walked away. At this moment.. I should just left....anyway I had to finish my meal because of hungry girlfriend. But I would never support this business again. I wish you all should know before you visit this place.

Very rude staff, reached there at 8pm and he said they’re closing at 8:30 even though the google map close time was 9:30pm and said he won’t serve us and told us to do take out if we need. That was very unproductive, he did even apologize, I drove there for half an hour , but very disappointed, never returning back to this place. From now onwards, I would prefer Hakka legend, actually they have better food than tangerine. Message to the management, if you hire these kind of people with no etiquette then you gonna lose customers, competitors outside actually do better customer service.

Ordered with Uber & they sent the most horrible smelling hot and sour soup and no taste! I’m one of their regular customers. Their beef with peanut sauce also had a pungent smell, made us gag n not be able to eat and again no flavours as we get with our regular orders. Keep in mind, we r regular customer ordering almost every week and have had these dishes before and love it! So disappointed and waste of money for this order. Please stop changing/experimenting with the recipes. They r better as they r… or u will lose regular customers ;(

Very bad food, my whole family is sick right now with food poisoning. I am going to take this to another level to complain to higher designated authority. Tangerine food quality has decorticated a lot from past. People spend money and time to buy fresh cooked meal, and they should respect and have care about it.

Great place to get Hakka food with plenty of vegetarian options. The servers were so attentive and friendly. Dine in and delivery are both consistently delicious.

The first time I went months ago I was with a friend, service was amazing, and entertaining as the server was funny. Food was good months ago, huge portions and overall a few months ago I would have given it a 4-5. So fast forward to April 1, 2017, took my husband and kids. Service was terrible, our waitress was no where to be found, she wasn't pleasant. This was unfortunate because it was Saturday night and it wasn't busy at all - so we certainly expected better service. Our server couldn't even be bothered to pour our water for us, but fine. She forgot to order one of our dishes, and we had to flag down another server to get our bill. The portions were an ok size, and we all left full but feeling "meh" about the entire meal. I did tell another server as we were leaving that we weren't happy - I wasn't expecting anything other than to just let them know so they could approve. We won't be back. And this was not an April fools joke.

We had a very bad experience at this location. Their manchurian beef was clearly spoiled (verified by 4 people at my home) and so we called the restaurant back letting them know about it. They said to return it back and they would give another dish in place of that. So when we went to return the spoiled dish, there were two employees who smelled the dish and said that they never had complains about this dish today. And one of the employee is tells me to not order the manchurian beef next time! I would not have complained until I saw how the employees of the restaurant don't trust their customers and instead of apologizing and admitting that it may have spoiled they tell you to never order that dish from them!! horrible customer service! Please don't waste your time going there to be treated this way.

I've been going to tangerine since 2003/2004 and while at times their food may not have been consistent, I have always had a great experience with the staff there. Everyone is friendly and they make a concerted effort to get to know each customer. Over the last decade or so, very rarely has the food not been upto standards and whenever it was, it was replaced without any issues. Would def recommend. The r.hill location is very convenient for me and my experience at the Markham location has carried over here as well.

poor service and when the server finally took our order he was very rude and condescending.... Food was ok but will never go back to be treat like that by the owner/manager!

Tangerine is my favourite place to go to with my family. The food is delicious and the servers are very friendly. James and Yung (the servers), make the experience at the restaurant delightful!

Best place for asian food in richmond hill. Food is always fresh and Service is great �

I went there for the first time today...ordered a meal, not saying it was takeout, taking off my jacket and bag to prepare to eat which they saw, but they give me a takeout container and told me i have to eat outside because I'm not allowed to eat there... The store had only two groups of people with many tables open, and considering I'm middle Eastern, and everyone in the store (workers, and customers) were of Asian descent, so because they were so insistent of not eating there it seems they were doing it out of racial prejudice. This is upsetting, as Tangerine Asian Cuisine is amazing, but after today I will not only never go back to any locations, but alert anyone I know as well as review online how upsetting it was to feel so unwelcome in a province known to accept everyone. Thank you for listening, I hope this doesn't escalate into what happened to the two African Americans at Seattle, as it feels very similar.

The service was good, love the food, overall experience 4.50 out of 5 !
