Review Paramjit's Kitchen - Revelstoke

Was really interested to try this Indian x German fusion. Tried all three of these dishes and thoroughly enjoyed them. I feel like the Schnitzel is better bang for your buck but was still happy with the curry goat. Only downside was it took longer than expected to receive our food after ordering. Would definitely eat here again.

Absolutely fantastic fusion of flavors. We were stranded in Revelstoke due to an avalanche and having dinner at Paramjit’s kitchen made everything better! The food was fresh and tasty, and everything came quick and hot. The chai tasted authentic and nothing was over spiced.

Really disappointed with the takeout packaging at this place - 20$ worth of green curry down that proverbial drain / into our 10cent plastic bag. When our order was packed the foil rim on the packaging wasn’t closed properly on one side and the contents of the curry ended up spilling everywhere on our drive home. Leaving two stars because what little food we had left did taste pretty good - but frustrated at the carelessness in packaging a take out order

Interesting fusion with German and Indian cuisine. Chicken masala pad thai was a safe choice and didn’t surprise us, however Butter Chicken Schnitzel Spaetzle was so tender and juicy, curry sauce added more flavor in it!

Delicious food with amazing friendly staff! I've never left this place without a smile! Such an interesting fusion of quality Indian, German and Thai food. My personal favourite is the butter chicken schnitzel with spaetzle, sooo good! The daily soup is always great as well, and two flavours of delicious fresh pressed juice available too

I did really like the idea of the fusion. Loved the mix of flavors in the butter chicken schnitzel with spaetzle. The mango lassi was also tasty. I wished to give 5 stars but, two things that could improve. First, I wasn't greeted/acknowledged for about 10 minutes at the counter! (tip: a quick "hi we'll be with you" could make a difference). Second, the spaetzle was served cold nunderneath the chicken schnitzel. I know it could be tricky to ensure the dish is presented perfectly in a busy restaurant but, I do really applaud this awesome dish! Good job 👏 👍

Pathetic service. The staff is only focused on online orders. I had to wait for 50 mins to get saag paneer, roti & Daal tarka. The quantity of food is very less. After all this, they didn't bother to serve cutlery. Had to wait another 5 mins to get a plate. Daal tarka was good rest food was average. Wouldn't recommend to waste your time here. After all this pathetic experience the staff was not even apologetic about the service.

This is such an adorable place. Who would have thought to make German and Indian restaurant. Just so cute. My boyfriend and I order some of their German food and some of their Indian food. And both of us agreed that the Indian food was much better. Spätzle was burnt and not enough flavor in goulash. But the Curry is to die for. Will definitely come back! Thank you for everything.

hands down the best Indian food ive ever eaten! the staff is wonderful and friendly. good gluten free/sugar free options although Goldie's chocolate mouse cake is the best around!!

I stopped into this restaurant planning to have Indian food which people tell me is exceptional but ended up having a schnitzel seeing as the owner was trained as a chef in Austria. It was one of the best schnitzels that I have ever had. I highly recommend trying this restaurant when you are in Revelstoke.

The food is delicious! And Goldie always has such lovely people working for her. Our family favorite is the rose milkshake. Try it if you haven't already :)

Best Samosas I have had in many years. Pretty much decided to come here on our next vacation for the Samosas. A surprising find tucked into the mountains

This place is fantastic. German and East Indian food in a small local restaurant. Went with the family and all together we ordered regular schnitzel, veggie korma, and a butter chicken schnitzel. Everything was delicious, and the German/Indian fusion was so unique. Really enjoyed our visit and would love to go back next time we drive through.

Amazing selection of food, with Indian and German cuisine. We tried three different dishes, Butter chicken, pork schnitzel and beef samosas and all were very tasty with generous portions. Would most certainly return next time we are in the area. Service was warm, welcoming and accommodating to dietary restrictions. Bravo

Very friendly and attentive service!

When we came here with a large group today. Although the lineup was quite long but the server handled the orders promptly!

We ordered the Monday’s special, Tandori Chicken. The food was simple but yet delicious. The flavour was well balanced!

Came here for dinner with the family. Ordered the beef samosas and chaat to start. Samosas were very tasty, chaat was a bit different than what I’m used too (mainly fruit with minimal chips and chickpeas) so wasn’t really a fan. Boyfriend got the Thai green coconut curry which was very tasty. I Had their special which was 5 different types of curry with rice, naan bread and papadums. 3/5 curries were good - only ones I didn’t like were the daal (I’m not a fan of daal of any kind) and the butter chicken (was much to sweet for me). Everything else though was very good and the servers were friendly. Would definitely recommend.

A friend took me to Paramjit's Kitchen for lunch and it was fantastic. I had the lunch special which was Thali, a selection of vegetarian curries with naan, raita, rice and pickle. The curries were some of the best I have ever had. The flavours were fresh and clean (not 'muddy'). It was a wonderful surprise to have such a superb, home cooked meal and I just wish I lived near by in order to visit more regularly and try some of the other menu items like Thai curries and German cuisine, as it is evident the cook is very skilled.

Unreal but be warned- they're not licensed. Food was great and service as well :) The atmosphere was quaint, I would describe it as small and cozy. We enjoyed ourselves and would come back when we return to revelstoke!

Food was ok. We ordered the seafood coconut green curry, beef keemi and goat curry. Food was expensive. Bought three dishes and naan and was over $70.

Goldie's restaurant is truly special. Great food and a one of a kind fusion idea.
Great food, great service and a very charming lady running a fine establishment.

Paramjit's was delicious! I have very high standards in terms of Indian food, as my best friend is Indian. I loved everything I ordered! We tried the Navratan Korma, Veggie Samosa's, and the Butter Chicken. Not only was the food amazing, the presentation was beautiful. I will definitely be back next time I'm in Revelstoke :)

But when it’s Parmajit’s Kitchen, in Revelstoke, B.C., it makes sense to see schnitzel alongside beef vindaloo. That’s because owner/chef Goldie Sanghera combines an Indian heritage with classical training in the kitchens of Austria. On this occasion, we’re going for a big feed of Indian takeout to satiate our hunger pangs after a tough, week-long backpack in nearby mountain wilderness. So we order cauliflower and potato curry, saag paneer, spicy beef keema and some chicken korma, along with a whack of naan and rice. It all goes down splendidly, and rather silently, with a few bottles of local Mt. Begbie Brewing Co. Tall Timber ale and Nasty Habit IPA.

Pretty average Indian food, didn't really even finish or feel the need to take the rest home. Naan wasn't authentic but the chai tea and samosas are amazing !

Not my favourite. Dahl makhni is one of my favourite foods of all time. However, if I had tried it first at this restaurant, I never would have ordered it again, so I never would have learned how much I love it at other restaurants! Not impressed.

Improve the naan and it would be great. Pretty solid Indian dishes. Had a couple things and they were all good.

The naan is weak though. Not made in a proper oven. Sort that out and it would be really very good.

Meh. Decent indian food but not amazing. the waitress said "white person spicy" and she wasn't joking - the vindaloo was as spicy as butter chicken. the german food looked good but unfortunately didn't order that. chai tea was amazing though. price wasn't bad.

Poor service and frantic staff. We just ate here and while it started off fairly well as soon as it became busy with both sit in and take out orders the staff fell apart. It was an unpleasant experience trying to enjoy dinner as the front staff and kitchen argued over every order. Additionally because take out orders were messed up there were a lot of people standing around waiting looking very grumpy. Our waitress was panicky and brought all of our dishes to another table before realizing they were ours. I felt bad for her having to deal with everything. They really needed someone to provide direction and communication between the kitchen and front.

As for the food it came out in a timely matter but was bland and lack lustre. I have eaten east Indian many times around Canada and this was some of the blandest. It really needed more spice.

Great menu! Amazing dishes!!. Wow! I don't write reviews until now. The food in this cafe is incredible. We hesitated with kids and after the last persons silly review. If you want fresh and food that will be treat for your taste buds don't hesitate. My wife and I had the best meal in years and even the kids loved it!

Not good!. Feel bad that I am writing a bad review but need to be honest. The owner and staff are really nice and service was good. Kids love mango milkshakes but the food was not good!! Pad thai tasted weird and we felt it was seasoned with hot sauce or something?? Butter chicken was below par. We eat a lot of butter chicken and this was just not good. Naan bread was not good either.
Don't know if having a bad day or not but we were very disappointed.
Only 2 stars out of 5

This restaurant is a complete gem ! Our family of four stopped in there on a Saturday night , and it was busy! After waiting a few minutes for one of the tables in the full house to clear, we were seated. One notable drink they have is their HOMEMADE chai tea, wow it was certainly the best I've ever had! We ordered beef samosas and bratwurst wonton to start. These two were both extremely tasty , and the sauces that were paired with each dish were utter perfection! We shared the shrimp pad Thai, coconut shrimp prawn, and curry chicken which are all served with rice. They were all so delicious! Our family does not eat Indian food very often, but we all found these dishes just exceptional ! If we ever pass through Revelstoke again , I'm sure our family will be back in an instant !

The only con was that the service was a little slow, although the staff were very kind , which in my opinion is more important (unless of course you are in a rush.) All in all this is a must try if u are in Revelstoke !!

Best Indian food. This is one of the best Indian meals I have had. My fish was cooked to perfection, and served with a perfect spicy mango sauce. My husband had a spicy tasty vegetarian curry. The Mango Lassie was the best I ever had.
Nice service, clean ,cozy and simple ambiance.
A small place you should not miss if in Revelstoke.

Exceptional food. I have eaten a lot of Indian food but the fruit chaapis (may have spelt that wrong) stands out as the best and most unique dish I have ever tried. the mixture of cool, sweet, and spicy plus the textures keeps me stopping at Paramjit's Kitchen every time I pass through town.
Local Food
The biggest plate of butter chicken and spätzle ever. And it was sooo delicious! Thank You! Can't wait to try all the Vege dishes.

Would it be Indian or German?. Would it be Indian or German food? .. that was the major question when we sat down and looked at the menu during a recent visit (late-May/12)!! Yikes, quite a contrast of flavours.

The server was very helpful to the cause though, and explained the various offerings, and his particular part in the preparations of the German fare. As we were travelling, we thought it best to stay away from the hot & spicy Indian fare (though really tempted by the wonderful aroma's from the kitchen, which were so enticing!!), and went with the schnizel, served with German fried potatoes and/or spatzle. We felt it was a 'safer' choice, and it worked out just fine.

It was a casual and fun dining experience, and if we're able to do it again some time, we do hope to try the Indian fare. We much-enjoyed our conversations with the Chef, and our server.

A great little dining spot in Revelstoke.

Food food, reasonable prices.... Good food, reasonable prices, and a fun staff make this a place to visit over and over.

Both the Indian and German dishes were excellent.

Combination of German and East Indian food is quite unique. Food was delicious. Service was slow.

Paramjit's Is Spectacular. The combination of German and Indian is a touch quite unlike any other. For those without the acquired taste of authentic Indian food, the German is sure to please. The butter chicken is amazing I find myself addicted. Coming back at least two or more times a week it always satisfies my craving. Fair price, and a friendly atmosphere makes this a favorite forever with my restaurant hall of food. . . a must to try if your in the area!

Indian/German Restaurant...review of Indian. I recently had the opportunity to dine at Paramjit's in Revelstoke, BC. What really piqued my interest was the unusual cuisine combination sold at the restaurant...Indian and German. Although it was a strange combination...I thought it was really cool and interesing. I was greeted by the friendly chef/owner when I arrived. I selected the chicken korma and garlic naan for my meal.

The kitchen area was open to view from the dining area. The chef could be seen working quickly and efficiently to prepare her clients meals. It wasn't long before my chicken korma and garlic naan arrived. The chicken korma was quite a bit different than my previous experience with this dish. It was served in a green cardamon sauce. The garlic naan was not prepared in a tandoori oven...as is typical. However, it did taste really good. The same could not be said for the chicken korma. The chicken korma didn't taste bad...it just didn't taste like much of anything at all! In my opinion...it was lacking all the spices one would expect of in this dish. However, possibly the chef prepared it with her own take on the dish...since the restaurant also sold German food. Although somewhat tasteless...I did enjoy the meal and felt well satisfied upon leaving.
.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Just arrive with an open mind and be surprised at the chef's take on the menu. Please don't interpret this as a negative review at all. I would visit again if I ever found myself in Revelstoke.
