Great tasting, imaginative vegetarian & vegan food. we're often there for breakfast on weekend days. I can't remember the dishes name, but I really enjoy their egg in a large fried onion with greens on a bun with hash browns.
the space is really interesting. Everything about the décor is completely repurposed/recycled. They have old glass beer mugs with obscure/found logos for water classes. Highly recommend
Great food and atmosphere complimented with friendly staff. A great option if you have friends and family with a variety of dietary requirements such as vegetarian, gluten free, kid friendly. Can’t wait to pair this comfort food with some local ale.
K. You’ve never even tried soup unless you’ve tried the homemade soups here. Fries? They basically don’t exist anywhere else after eating these guys.
My Ukrainian farm boy father (who’s probably never had a meal without some kinda roasted meat) said “this burger is the best thing since sliced bread” And even though I’m not sure what that means, his grin was bigger than the day I was born.
The KFC wrap should put the Colonel outta business.
Neil and his diner family are incredibly inclusive - community legends really. Thanks for doing what you love! (Because I love it too)
I've never liked burgers but I really enjoyed a vegetarian burger and for my first one it definitely set the bar high. I really adore the staff and the decor is absolutely charming. Will be returning!!!
What a welcome to Regina. A hidden gem a real treat to the taste buds even our two meat eaters enjoyed this place will defiantly be going agsin
Stranger no danger because I can't handle the heat. Let me tell you something, this was a two handed burger! Wow! Amazing flavour in the black bean patty. I don't know what is in their burger sauce but it is delicious.
The staff was incredibly pleasant when greeting us at the door, while taking our order, and just lovely all around.
The atmosphere takes me back to my wonderful childhood years, coffee mugs my parents had, amazing paintings on the walls, eating on a recycled church pew bar, scrabble boards for "wallpaper" along with crosswords and so many interesting lighting choices and remarkable seating.
There is no better restaurant in Regina when it comes to the friendly host and owner, Neil who made a point to come outside after we had left to thank us for coming in.
Thank you Hunter Gatherer for making quality food for a fair price and for making a birthday lunch with my husband incredible. Did I mention the Dads root beer? Doods, they have Dad's old fashioned root beer!
3-year old’s assessment of their breakfast: “It was so awesome it blew my whole self away!” The sentiment was shared by both parents.
Best Restaurant In Town. You'll never regret ordering anything from their menu. Awesome staff, delicious food. They'll customize things for you if you have allergies. Such a positive environment. Loved it.
Heard good things about this place and was in the city and had to try it. Went in for breakfast and the atmosphere and food were amazing. Can not wait to pop in again and try out some more dishes!
This is one of the best places to chow down in Regina, hands down. Amazing food, great service, and a really nice atmosphere.
Im a non-vegan or vegetarian, as is my partner. My friend was a vegan from Germany so we went here for food. AMAZING. Actually craving a burger now.
Vegetarian comfort food done so, so well. The fries are to die for. Thanks for existing. Can’t wait to bring my out-of-town vegetarians to visit!
I tried this place for the first time today. The black bean burger was amazing as were the fries that came with it. It's a quaint little restaurant with great service and food. I can't wait to go back.
I've never had a tofu wrap that tasted like chicken before! Amazing!
Great place, ambience is nice, service is nice, good is great, wish they’d switch the menu up a bit more or add a few new dishes. Neil is the new Sheriff in Town.
The environment was good; much better than I expected. The food was just ok; I found it to be unimaginative. The menu featured things like a grilled cheese sandwich (very ordinary; the bread was regular sliced bread), veggie burgers (which were pretty good), burrito (unimaginative) with sides such as macaroni salad (very ordinary) and very average fries. Service was ok. We did not try any of the desserts.
A purely vegetarian restaurant that has a creative twist on some classics! The ambience is quirky and creative. Think suitcases and trunks up on one wall, then artwork spanning the other wall. Sometimes I come alone just to read a book and get lost in the decor!
They have big and frothy milkshakes, and really tasty sandwiches on their menu. I brought my partner who enjoys meat, and he loved the meals! Will please every type of eater.
A highlight of our trip to Regina. The service, atmosphere and food where all great.
We had the poutine a wrap and a black bean burger with salad and everything was fantastic. My only wish is that we could have met the owner / manager. It's such an interesting place I bet the management is just as quirky.
Veggie or not, this place is a gem and a must visit.
Was from out of town and dropped in while on our road trip. It was fantastic. The service was good, food was even better, prices were reasonable. We showed up during a CTV segment and learned about how this small restaurant helps support the community and the speech therapy centre. Good food and a good feel to this place. Left feeling good about my food and where my money goes.
Great Vegetarian restaurant! I’m actually not a vegetarian but went with a friend who is, I have to say that I found lots of options and the food was great! Their French fries is to die for! The vibe of the place is really good. The service super friendly and the food got to us pretty quickly although the place was packed with people. To add to the menu they usually have specials every day :) I recommend this place.
Had a great Lupper at Hunter Gatherer. Five of us enjoyed The Beans in a Blanket, The BLT, and The GC, accompanied by the soup du jour or double-fried fries. Two of us also tipped a glass of Pile o' Bones Brewing Americano cold-pressed stout.
All really enjoyed our food and drink, the really cool decor, and chatting with Neil, the owner. This is a great place for vegetarian food.
Third time that we went there and even though we are no longer vegan I have to say it is the to go place for vegetarians and vegans in Regina.
Sufficient choices and very straight forward food.
Simplicity it's the ultimate sophistication!
Enjoy
Service is good although they are understaffed and sometimes makes mistakes. Their prices are reasonable and affordable and they have great and very creative menu options & specials. I’m not vegetarian and still I go there every once in a while to eat their delicious food! I recommend this place with all of my heart.
