Review Five Guys - Regina

First time here. Over all servers were great. Burger was very good. Fries were too salty. Cost was average. My only complaint is the tables were not kept up..i saw 4 guys working one could have cleaned the dinner. Other wise ill eat here if i return to the area but i wont eat in..that was my big dispointment.

Had the Bacon Cheeseburger All The Way (fully loaded) burger and it was fantastic. It is a messy burger to handle and eat... but it is an incredibly delicious and amazing burger as well! And they sure don't skimp on the fries.

Giant burgers but so good! Had the bacon cheeseburger and while messy, it was delicious! Get lots of napkins and don't worry about fries, who's got room for a side when the burgers are this big!

Bun flat and squashed. Gross processed cheese. Overcooked patties. Overcooked bacon almost hard enough to damage teeth. Milkshake had unblended cylinders of flavouring throughout. Dirty tables. Maybe this is considered ok in Pakistan. Perhaps try hiring somebody local and figuring out what’s acceptable food.

Just got a meal from here and found a hair in my burger on the first bite. The workers also got my order wrong. Very sad considering I’ve heard good about them. Very disappointed!

We are all familiar of five guys food in sure by now. But whoever our server was today, but customer experience I have seen in a restaurant in Regina since the covid thing. Took our order, polite quick helpful, then let us change happily. Cleaned up came around sprayed tables, cleaned. Back up ensure we got our order the way we wanted and made sure everyone was following the rules. Good job Anij M ??? (Is what my receipt says)

It was a good burger place before covid and now it is way smaller compared to 2 years ago, and more pricey for what you pay for.

They weren't kidding when they told me they've got one of the best burgers in town! Cooked just right, burger was very juicy, unli toppings, a gazillion fries! Couldn't ask for more...and will definitely go back! Highly recommended!

Stupid expensive. Burgers are not very good. Not worth the money at least. No combos, you have to pay for everything separately. 20 minute wait time. The only good thing was the bacon cheese hot dog.

Came here a few months ago and really enjoyed the burgers. They were a little pricey, but you could definitely tell that they used quality ingredients. I enjoyed how many fries we got, and the food was all freshly made.

The burgers are tasty but I'm partial to the bacon cheese hotdogs...just don't let me know what he calorie count is. The fries are excellent but they give you far too many...but hard too complain about that.
Kate
The food is very good but it's a little more expensive than I'm comfortable paying for fast food burgers and fries in what I feel is an unpleasant dining environment. Still, if I'm in the mood for a burger (which doesn't happen very often these days), since there's no White Spot this far east, Five Guys is the best option I know of.

CHECK your ORDER before you leave. If you order a regular burger it should have two patties. Sick of getting ripped off in this city!!!

Delicious As Always!. We head to Five Guys whenever we're looking for an easy dinner and it's always so good. We went this evening and the service was great and the food was hot and fresh. It isn't fine dining by any means but it's really good food!

This place is good in theory. Simple burger joint with homemade burgers, all the toppings you need, free peanuts (not that i like peanuts) and an bag loaded with fries (cooked in peanut oil yay) for days. (If you're into that though I personally never eat all the fries and find it kind of overwhelming.) BUT...

What burger joint doesn't have shakes? Ok maybe a lot but it seems just wrong.

The bun isn't toasted so right off the bat it's a soggy mess and falling apart and even in the comfort of your own home and embarrassment it still sucks.

The colour scheme I find a bit mind numbing but that's just being picky.

The staff are great and overall the place makes sense to me and is a decent good time but it could be way better.

Not only good burgers but also good people. I forgot my valet on the table and went off towards my car, but one guy come running towards me calling " sir ! sir ! " i looked at him and he hand over my valet to me. i was amazed and releived that time. i asked his name, his name was aashish, he said he is a supervisor . i thanked him and i still visit five guys because i like its food very much and so the crew.
Sarah
Eh... Tried it once and I was really hoping they would have real cheese since they have so many options but they don't! It's just a typical fast food burger with processed cheese..

Great Custom Burgers. The burgers are excellent if you add seasonings! There are so many free toppings and condiments. I like salt, so I always ask for sauce or add my own seasonings.
HungryGuy
Its fast food..a little better than average. The little burgers are enough for the average person. The I've been there three times and the amount of fries I've been given is very inconsistent. I don't know why people are complaining about the price, I've paid $21 for two big burgers with cheese and a medium fry to share. That's cheaper than a Chinese food buffet.
Just_a_guy
Very Expensive. I drove by a few times in the east end and didn't know what they sold... i popped in and realizing it was a burger joint ordered a burger... the burger was ok... (not life altering) but for a simple burger with no fries and no drink it was almost $10!! i gave them a $10 and got about 30 to 40 cents back....
i could get 3 teenbugers for the same price and have left much fuller... i ended up filling up on peanuts just so i didnt go home hungry....
i doubt i would go back... in fact at those prices i doubt that they'll survive.... i expect to see that location empty again in year or two....

They need better buns. The burgers are simple and good. The problem there is the buns. I think that each Five Guys franchise gets their buns locally and they vary from place to place. The buns that they get in Regina get extremely soggy especially with the double burgers and with a lot of toppings. I had the bottom of my bun completely fall apart from being so soggy.
HungryCanadian
I had 5 guys for lunch today. Great burger amazing fries! Huge portions you get a ton of fries.
Tasty Buds
Way over priced for an average burger
Mr. Blunt
Every time I go there it's filled with 90% obese/greasy people and that includes the workers.. I wonder why? Oh yeah, maybe it's the sloppy burgers or the bag-topped fries. Have only gone 3 times and it's a major regret every time.

Felt like a production line. You're ushered in and pushed to order before being able to find a seat. The burgers are ok, maybe good at best, but the amount of fries they give you is exceedingly large. The fries did indeed taste good and there was lots of it. If that wasn't enough to fill the gullet, then one can always devour peanuts to their heart's content.

They got our order all wrong and it wasn't worth trying to wade back into the crowd to get in corrected. Nothing stood out here as being special nor unique.
Cabbage
Food was so-so and not as special as some people have told me. Burgers were moist but not sure due to grease or moisture. Fries were fine and reminded me of fresh cut fries from Quebec. Really oily and salty but i like my fries like that. For all the hype and price I could make a better burger at home.
Gobler
Dirty greasy nasty burgers, won't be coming back for sure
Peachtree03
Nothing special. After all the hype, I at least expected to taste a burger that was well seasoned and something different than your standard take out burger. Sadly, the meat was pretty bland; nothing special. Maybe they were having an off-day... but I REALLY don't see why everyone raves about their fries?? tasteless and uber greasy.. yuck. yawn. won't be back.

This place is awesome . Look if your looking for healthy food then your going to the wrong restaurant . The burgers are nice and geasy just what a burger should be and they give you tons and tons of fries more than you can eat . Customer service is okay not great but really I am going for the food not to make nice nice with the girl or boy at the till .

Wasn't As Good As Expected. The burger was just OK and the fries were very greasy. It cost me about 15 bucks...I go to another place in town where they have a Kobe Beef Burger for 18....I will stick with that one.

USDA Beef. Imported corn fed beef from the US, it will never have the flavour that we enjoy from our home grown beef. Lots of condiments helps quite a bit. It is nice to see a higher end burger place for a change, I hope we get more places like this.

Brutal Service!!!!!!. This was our first experience at 5 guys and we were greeted without a smile! The server who was on the till her name was Cybil was about the worst display of customer service i have ever seen! The food was good but i would have to really think about returning if the employees treat their customers this way!!
Tastebud
Tasted good but super greasy. While the french fries are fresh and flavourful, they are also very greasy, if you like crispier fries like me, you probably wont' enjoy them. The burger was also super greasy, I would prefer the dub still. Prob would not go out of my way to eat here again.

Five Guys Burger and Fries. Heard so much about this place that we went there this past Friday for lunch. Had the bacon and cheese burger and was asked if I wanted fries and a drink with that. Burger was $8.95 and the when you add the fries and drink, total of $15.20. Burger was okay, nothing spectacular, fries were soggy and tasted like they were made with old oil. I won't be back, if I'm going to spend this kind of money for lunch, I will go someplace decent.

Bland. I was hoping for a burger that would knock my socks off, and I got a bland tasting burger. Put some spice or something in the meat already!!! I normally take a homemade style burger over a fast food one anyday, but I'd take a Whopper over one of these in a second.

The fries are really good but if I just want good fries I would just go to New York Fries, or make my own homemade ones at home.

Shaking my head. I have been to Five Guys in the States and it is way better at some of those locations.
I think they are still going through some growing pains here in Regina. Not trained properly.
Still they do taste great.

The music, The atmoshere, the HUGE amount of fries is just the way all the franchise's do it.... it's their schtick!

Not bad but there are better...... I absolutely love burger joints and given I tend to travel a fair bit I get into most of the chains in North America. As for Five Guys it's better then any of the other chains in Regina (McDonald's, BK etc) but it falls short of say In-N-Out and a few other USA based chains. Still not too bad however and is a nice break from the burger with thousand island dressing on it that most in this town are use to.

As for those of you rambling on about the peanuts, relax people. If you have a peanut allergy stay out and move on but if you don't have a problem with a relaxed burger place, give it a shot.

Burger was soggy. Tables were not cleaned. Tables are too close together. Fries were great but not enough to go back.

Great burgers just too many fries. However I'm not complaining cause there delicous!!! Five guys Rules!!!!!!!

Wasn't too bad. I got a burger and fries and was a little underwhelmed. The burger wasn't very hot and I found the beef a little tasteless. Got lots of fries and the burger was huge which was a plus. Probably wouldn't go back though.

Best Burger in Regina. Made fresh when you order, with choice of free toppings. Yes, you will wait...in line, and for your order. Free peanuts while you wait though! Fresh, Delicious...finally a decent burger in this city! Note that fries are intended for sharing...so even a small order will feed 2-3 people.
Synergy
Burgers are good, but bland. When you order get bbq sauce with it to kick up the flavor. Fries are more than you expect because two ppl can share a single order.

Great Place. Ok, this place is amazing. Love you burgars and fries. If your going to do it you have to get everything on the burgar. People say it is such a long line up, but really it only takes 15 minutes. Also, for the guy that commented down below that said the person at the front didn't tell you what options you can have on your burgar. They have a huge sign telling you what you can put on it right above them. There are probably 15 different toppings you can put on it and they are all free. Great place. It takes a little longer for your buger but its worth the wait.

Great Experience. If you want fast food don't come here. If you enjoy a unique vintage experience with good food, cool music, and a very unique atmosphere then Five Guys is for you. Personally I know the food is greasy, but thats why I went. Yes they cook everything in peanut oil, but why should everyone cut out peanuts just because a small minority have some allergies. I loved the bugers and the fries, although the first time I went the fries weren't crispy, the second time they were perfect.

Great Burger. This Five Guys is like all the others in the States. If you have never been there before they serve peanuts in the shell which you peel and dump on the floor. The burgers a GREAT, but greasy. That is probably why they are so good! Regular burgers are two patties and one large order of fresh cut fries will feed 5 people. Burgers cost about $8.00 each and you can choose tons of free toppings. Drinks have free refills too. This is the kind of place you go for a treat, not a healthy meal.

Awesome!!!!!. We really enjoyed our burgers and by the atmosphere in the restaurant everyone else liked theirs tooo.We didnt think the burgers were plain you just have to put on one of the three sauces they offer. On your burgers you can put at least 10 toppings and they were all fresh. The fries are homemade and the drinks are free refills what more could you want.. Recommend this place to all the juicy burger lovers....enjoy

Never going here!. Don't consider going here if you have a nut allergy! There are huge bags of peanuts stacked up around the restaurant like decorations. And peanut shells everywhere, and food cooked in peanut oil.

Unsatisfactory. Have heard good things about 5 Guys in other Cities and thought I would give it a try. My experience was horrible. The person taking my order had no idea how to work the till so did not give me any choice of toppings for my burger. This sucked as the burger itself was very dry, unseasoned, and contained less flavor than a MacDonald's Patty. The fries are from fresh cut potatoes but lacked seasoning, were soggy, and cold. Also whose idea is it to serve everything in a brown paper bag? You end up with a oil soaked mess. I do not recommend Five Guys Burgers and Fries unless you feel like having a long wait for an overpriced heart attack.

Not so good Burger. Five Guys recently opened up in Regina and like all new places is extremely busy. Took my girlfiend there last week and waited 10 minutes just to place an order and another 25 minutes to get my order. Felt like I was a piece of cattle waiting in line. It was very noisy -loud music- very dirty tables and packed with people. Just for one regular bacon cheeze burger was about $8.50 and it wasn't that good then add a drink and fries on top of that and we could have gone to a nice quiet place and had a better meal. Won't be back there.

TooBusy. Its been open awhile now... And everytime we drive by... which is 4-5 times a week... Its packed. And I'm just thinking these people that are waiting in such a long line up... Where are they planing to sit? on eachothers laps? No drive thru. I still do want to try it as my husband was able to go on his lunch break and said it was great. Hopefully the busyness dies down.

Fresh Burgers but.... Unfortionatly, I do not like it, the burgers are fresh, but no seasoning on it, VERY GREASY. And if you have a peanut allergy, the fries are cooked in peanut oil, there are peanuts all on the floor (At least when we were there.)
