Review Bar Willow Eatery - Regina

Food was a 3.5/5 but the atmosphere and vibe are cool. They are also very flexible with bringing your bike or dog with you. Beautiful view. Good staff. Def recommend.

Nice location with lovely staff and interesting food! The fries are really good here, and the menu looks to be extensive otherwise. Great to sit outside in the covered deck even though the weather may be less than perfect, it's nice to enjoy a meal outside. Lots to watch as people are on the water and running around the park Good parking!

Not what it used to be! The Willow used to be a quiet, refined dining experience. Granted, we hadn't been there for some time, but we were really surprised at the changes! The place is now a beach bar vibe with no fine dining elements (taco bar). The food was very mediocre (and our order was given to a different table). It was LOUD inside. The pricing is still at the level it was when the environment and menu was upscale. If we hadn't been driven there with the intention of staying for a while and drinking a bottle of wine or two, we would have left right away. Instead we messaged our driver, ate fast got the heck out of there! Won't be going back unless we want a VERY different vibe than what it used to be. Even then, I think there are better options for casual outdoor dining.

A beautiful spot in the city that over looks Wascana Lake! Our server wasn't great, having to re-order drinks we already ordered and other tables food and drinks were brought to our table twice. We got the bacon dates and the dish did not match the description, it was very sweet and cinnamony VS. The sweet and savory one is used to. A neat twist on traditional bacon dates, just not what we had in mind.

The best view, excellent staff and service, great menu, delicious food and entertainment, on the best patio in yqr? Yes. Fantastic date night spot for a nice summer/fall evening.

Best patio in Regina! Great food and wine selection, always good rotating craft brews on the menu as well. The view on the lake is amazing. One of the rare places in town where you can get fresh oysters.

I've always been a big of their team and Beer bros when it was open. First time going to Bar Willow Eatery (previously was The Willow), and it did not disappoint! Really great food, we had great service, and you know when you consider the caliber of dishes they make, in combination with their spectacular lakefront view, the prices are more than reasonable. Highly recommend. Thanks again for this excellent contribution to Regina, please bring back stout mayo and beerogies.

The Chicken Sando with the Lake Fries was the bomb! Such juicy crunchy chicken thighs. Never been to Regina before, but I'm glad I stopped at the Bar Willow for my meal!

Grossly disappointing. Honestly a deliberate rip-off, taking advantage of unknowing customers. Two individuals dined at a cost of $309.60 for ridiculously small portions on a set menu. The coquilles consisted of one very small scallop and one very small oyster with simple cream acting as a supposed "white wine sauce". The two-bite cassoulet included more pork fat than meat. The coq au vin was no more than three bites, and an absolute disaster of a dish. The sugar filled crème brûlée was unfortunately the highlight of the experience, and even then was not worth more than a few dollars. We left the restaurant and went straight to Five Guys for a burger, as we were still quite hungry after the meal. As for the wine, each serving was no more than three sips. I'd estimate that about half a glass of wine was shared between two individuals, and cost us $50 each. That would mean that it was a $200 bottle of wine, but it was obviously not worth it, even at inflated restaurant wine prices. I threw away two "coupons" that we received as well. We will not be coming back.

The lights out experience was incredible! For those of you who have not gone you gotta try it. The food was so delicious and tasted even better not knowing what was on your plate. Your taste buds and smell are really enhanced when you can't see anything. Also for vegetarians like myself they do an amazing job swopping out ingrediants. Another thing that we did was the wine pairing with each meal. You get 4 different wines that match perfectly with each course. Rob and i highly recommend it.

I won't ever go there again. The owner comes to do some work at the establishment, ties his dog up in the mid-day sun, 28 C; on a short leash with no dish of water. when there were shadey spots the dog could have been in . it was at least 20 minutes....really how about putting a fur coat on with no protection on your head, and sitting there yourself!

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner at The Willow for my birthday tonight. We were worried it would be pretentious and we would be treated like we didn’t fit in, but that wasn’t the case, we were very much welcomed. We were given a complimentary Amuse Bouche which was FABULOUS, such amazing flavour, we were both overwhelmed with how good it tasted. I was also given a small glass of sparkling wine when they found out it was my birthday. All the food we ordered was amazing, we had no complaints. We both (even my husband, who always finishes his meals) took half our main course home because we were stuffed, which is more than you can say about many fancy restaurants. The waiter (I wish I could remember his name, because he deserves to be known) was fabulous, always there when we needed him, but gave us our space to enjoy as well. He had a great personality, very friendly and approachable. Yes, you will pay more than at other places, but it is 100% worth doing once in a while. My husband was so impressed that he made a point of telling the waiter on our way out that it’s the best restaurant he’s been to in Regina. We will definitely be back from time to time.

Tried to go tonight for a glass of wine at 7 pm mainly due to the fact that the wine list is exceptional. Was told there was a wedding, there was no "closed for an event" sign and the main restaurant area was roughly 33% full. Offered to sit on the patio. There were two tables full on the patio, was informed that the patio was "soaking." This July/August has been nothing if not dry it was very evident that it was not soaking. I'm not sure if we were dressed too casual or what. I will not return that level of service is complete garbage especially considering we have organized at least one company event at this location. If there is a reason to not serve someone at least make it believable.

I recently had a birthday dinner at the Willow. Everything about it was great! The service was excellent, the food was delicious, the cocktails on point, and the view on the deck was beautiful. I have no complaints and definitely would go back.

We were there a party of 5 on Wednesday for lunch. to be fair it was quite busy and took over an hr to get our meal. it was my 4th visit the previous visits were very good. I ordered a japanese chicken dish was crispy but bland a thigh and leg with barely anything else on the plate was a big disappointment. The manager asked how everything was when we were paying for our meal and did seem unhappy about our experience and gave us a 25% discount, did it make me feel better NO, lol. I will try it one more time

So disappointed. Got a supposedly cheddar bacon burger from your concession at Mosaic Stadium. Opened it up and there were 4 barely perceptible strands of cheese on it. Gives me no incentive to experience your restaurant!

Wonderful food. Staff was top level. Owner puts his customers first. Really went out of his way to accommodate us. A bit crowded but the exceptional food more than compensated. We had a fairly large party and everyone was more than pleased with their choices. I highly recommend this lovely restaurant.

UPDATE: Although we had an unusual experience at Willow, I was pleasantly surprised by the customer service and discussion I had with Amanda after leaving this review. I expect high quality and service from Willow and even though our meal was not as expected, they have been humble and apologetic. I appreciate what you've done to try and fix the issue. My business partner and I attended Willow last night to celebrate our birthdays. We have had WONDERFUL experiences before (last year). This year was not successful. We made a reservation online and I noted my business partner's serious allergy to garlic and that we would like to do the 6 course tasting menu, this has never been an issue in the past and many alternative options were always made available. This time we were told they could only do one starter and one main. They were put together with barely any additional seasoning to make up for the lack of garlic. This has NEVER happened before. We were severely disappointed with the options and we obviously could not do the coursed menu. Although we travel a lot to Regina, it seems something changed and we will not be in a hurry to come back. Our server tried his best, the wine pairings were wonderful and the dessert was fantastic! However those were the only highlights unfortunately - and it doesn't make up for the disappointing meal.

What a unique experience, eatting in the dark! Good tasting food, friendly waitress. Thanks for the enjoyable night !! You should really experience this.

first time there and the food was very good and so was the service..was not sure at first when we looked at the menu but when we got the food and tasted it was very good....will be back again...thanks....

The deck setting over the lake was great. The food was great. But what killed the experience for me was the service. It started out pretty good but once we got our meals the waitress disappeared. We waited for half an hour after we were done to get someone to our table and once we ordered dessert we waited for another 40 minutes for it to arrive. After we were finished we ended up waiting again for the bill. I don't know what happened there but it killed the experience for me.

Always enjoy dining at the Willow, but last nights Dining in the Dark was exceptional! Year round the Willow is the place to enjoy great food with the feeling you are really dining out.

We enjoyed a delicious, filling brunch on the deck overlooking the lake in the sun with a gentle breeze and family and friends. It was a picture perfect day and we were spoiled by our servers Kennedy, Monique and Anna. The presentation was photo worthy. I would have given The Willow 10 stars if I could have.

We had our wedding here and they were outstanding, Amanda, James and the rest of the staff were amazing to work with and brought our vision to life and went above and beyond what we could have ask for!

The food is fabulous and the service excellent. We love eating overlooking the lake! Thanks for another great meal!

The Willow will always go out of their way to make sure that your experience is the best it can possibly be. Love their special events, although every time we go it feels like a special event.

Tonight was my first time at the Willow and it was great! My boyfriend and I took both his parents and my parents for their 50th wedding anniversaries tonight. The food was great and the service was good. Can't wait for the autumn menu. Only complaint is I wish there was parking closer as his Mom was in a walking boot with a broken ankle and his Dad has bad knees.

A quiet spot to have great conversation with a few friends or a romantic dinner. Locally sourced, wonderfully presented food. A place where you can enjoy a night out without feeling rushed or distracted.

The food was delicious and the staff very friendly. :)

Food presentation was very appealing!! Everything on my plate was delicious, especially when dreamboat Joel served my table

This is a great place to eat! I like the fact that they have a limited menu and that everything on the menu is locally grown and raised or fished here in Saskatchewan. The chef's choices are always wonderful.

It was delicious and dining in the dark was super fun!!!!

We consider ourselves foodies and are very good cooks ourselves, so when we go out for a nice meal, which is hardly ever, we like to wowed. This place does it every time.
