Over the years, this inviting bistro has always been an excellent choice for me whether I opted to visit with a friend in a cozy nook while enjoying tea and a custom grilled cheese sandwich, or I purchased an Italian soda to cool me while checking out the Wednesday Downtown Market on a beautiful summer day.

I love this place. Breakfast, lunch, coffee, snacks, ice cream, it's all good. Jean, the owner, is also a huge supporter of local artists (you can buy prints there!) and charity groups- his wife even makes pies you can home!
Bistro on Gaetz is a hidden gem RIGHT downtown. It's a delicious place to shop local.
Go there right now and get a cinnamon bun and london fog.
Or GIANT cookie and herbal tea.
Or confetti square and black coffee.
Like I said, it's ALL good.

The review about the Library-esque atmosphere was right. Only about five baked goods to choose from. Didn't try the coffee. What I had was a dessert or snack type item. It was. . .I wouldn't give it a 3/5 but I've had much worse other places. I I only got heartburn from it.
I think if this were a mall kiosk it'd be a better use of space as no one seems to go in and sit down.

The Bistro is a great breakfast , lunch or Coffee/Tea stop. My fav is the Raisin Bran Muffin... plump, moist and flavorful with a hot or iced Chai (locally made by The Chai Wallahs). There are seats outside for nice weather and a few very nice shops on the street. Locally owned!!!

I love this shop! Warm friendly atmosphere, exceptional quality products and comfy seating. This is my favourite place to meet friends or to just go for a treat. I love the artwork which is from local artists. After the lunch rush, it's nice and quiet. A really comfort for the local community.
