Great place! Best chicken so far in Alberta! We visit Lokal for the chicken! A bit pricy but worth it with those juicy boneless 🍗..

Took a bit of time to get our pickup order but I’m telling you the wait was COMPLETELY worth it. I’ve never eaten better chicken in my entire life. The chicken is juicy, the coating is light and crispy it’s not greasy. So good. I will definitely be ordering from this place again.

We’re from Calgary and every time we visit our friends in Red Deer, this is the only restaurant that we dine in at. Excellent dining experience as always. From walking in the door and being greeted by an awesome and a very polite employee (Arlene) to enjoyable and delicous meals. The food is exceptional! Their fried chicken is to die for. This place is highly recommended.

Lokal was recommeded to us for their fried chicken dinner. When we arrived we were the only ones in the restaurant & didn't take that as a good sign but we stayed anyways. It turned out to quite nice as it was good to visit with each other. Most of our party ordered the fried chicken dinner, burger with a salad, & stir fry. The chicken dinners were hearty with 3 or more pieces, it had a crispy well seasoned coating, & juicy on the inside. The burger cooked to perfection, the salad was fresh with the tastiest house dressing(you have to order it!) & the stir fry was prepared with fresh vegetables & a spicy sauce. Our server was friendly & knew her menu when we had questions. We were happy to see more patrons arriving throughout the evening & we will certainly recommend Lokal to our friends.

I went to eat there and the restaurant was empty but my order took over an hour to show up for nachos and a sandwich. When it finally did arrive it was over cooked and most of the toppings were charred and inedible. The staff were rude to me I'm guessing its because hey had to get off their phones to do something. They informed me I'd still have to pay full price for the meal. I will never return, for how much their food costs I may as well eat at one of the fast food joints right by it and actually be satisfied afterwards. Thoroughly disgusted by how this place is managed!

Chicken dinner was fantastic. My son and I agreed that it was better than the chicken tenders. My friend had the club and was thoroughly impressed with every aspect of the dish, from the house salad dressing down to the corn slaw. Server was spot on. Establishment clean. Delicous food came out quickly and hot. Will be back!

My husband and I have decided this is our new favorite place. Phenomenal burger! The chicken is tender and delicious! The salads are fresh and so yummy! If you haven’t been you are missing out!

One of the best Easter brunches I've ever had! The food was great! Everything was fresh and delicious. The apple pie was to die for! Will be coming back for sure!

Such a great place to eat! The food has the same quality and great taste as their Sylvan Lake Location. The interior of the restaurant is absolutely beautiful and is now definitely one of the best places to eat in Red Deer! Check it out!

Have eaten breakfast at Lokal every morning we stayed at the Quality Inn.. totally tasty food..recommend it ..

Tried to go for breakfast there this past Saturday with a friend. Sat at our table for a good 15 minutes while the waiter went back and forth between some little machine and the kitchen and then he went to serve some other people who came in after us and he went to them and we finally just left. The least he could have done was acknowledge and given us menus and perhaps a coffee

I ordered the lokal bbq. My chicken was the size of a golf ball. I wondered if the waitress dropped the rest on the way to our table. And only 3 short ribs. The rice was a scope of white rice, nothing exciting. The sauce was generic plum. The salads weren't bad, nice and fresh. Service was fast but only 3 tables sitting. Sorry guys but overall it was very disappointing.

Local Kitchen Red Deer is the best. Never have had a bad meal yet from them

Our first time, had breakfast after church me and my husband. Good location, food and service was great. We will come back and highly recomended.

On sunday june 18 we tried to eat at your restaurant around 5:00 pm, we waited at front for 3 or 4 minutes without anyone to seat us, so we decided to take a seat, another 5 min pass and finally a server came with glasses of water and asked us for something else to drink. Another 10 min and none of our drinks and no one else to pay attention to us our take our order, so we finally decided to leave. Just so you know seems like she was alone, but also wasn't busy at all, only 2 more tables. Totally disappointed

The food is great... the service... not so much. We just lost everything in a house fire so we had vouchers for food at this restaurant. Last night after a long emotional day i ordered room service for my daughters. The lady was beyond rude over the phone and quite annoyed by my situation with the vouchers. Then this morning for breakfast i got the same treatment. Got sat at a dirty table and chose to help clean our table and the next one to mine. But still had a grumpy waitress. Never even brought water to our table or came to check up on us after our food was served. I am now sitting here with my family waiting for our dinner... same attitude from the staff. Im still gonna smile and be kind. But i hope these waitresses see this i maybe change their attitude for the next customers. Be kind

My parents and husband and I have come almost week for supper and it's always hot, comes out fast, awesome place.

Great atmosphere! Love the decor. Food had great presentation and good size portions. Even the kids chicken fingers looked homemade and were light and crispy. Really enjoyed my first time here.

First time there for my husband and I and we will definitely be back!! I had the Cajun chicken salad and he had the clubhouse both of our meals were excellent :). Loved the free sample appetizer as well. Great service and comfortable seating. Thanks and welcome to Red Deer!

Good food could be made great with better ingredient quality. The waitresses are absolutely fantastic in my experience and make you feel very welcome right away. I definitely would give this place another try.

I love the Lokal kitchen in Sylvan Lake and now I love the one in Red Deer too.<br/>Same owners as Sylvan restaurant thus same great staff, food and atmosphere.<br/>Located in the Quality Inn (AKA old North Hill Inn)<br/>They are really big on fresh herbs and spices.<br/>Two thumbs wayyyyyyyyyyy up!
