Review Moxies - Red Deer

Went tonight for supper around 5pm and our waitress was amazing. She had the booths beside the lounge and was so sweet and checked up on us and had our drinks asap. Food was so good too. My daughter had the ice cream dessert and was amazed at the dry ice magic! 😊

We love coming here for the amazingly friendly staff and delicious food from quality ingredients. Jill is so nice and helpful.

We had a party of probably about 20 of us show up on a Saturday afternoon in the lounge! The servers who took care of us were extremely friendly and on the ball! Amazing service, the food came out very quick and no issues! Would recommend.

Great lounge, great atmosphere! If your looking for a quite relaxing atmosphere with great service this is your stop. Ask for Alyssa. After not being able to stop in for quite some time Alyssa remembered us and remembered what we drank! Always great time never any issues. We will definitely stop in anytime Alyssa is working for her exception service and positive attitude

The food is excellent. Night manager and server were both super friendly.

Update. Nothing charred this time!! Everything was awesome. Would have given 5 stars as mine was excellent as usual, but my husband's burger was much too "charred" on the side they ended up putting the cheese on. You can hide the burnt side but the customer can still taste it. Surprised at this. He doesn't like complaining so we didn't say anything.

Went for lunch, due to the times we are currently facing, the restaurant wasn't overly busy. Wait staff was prompt and courteous.

The food was amazing. I have never had fries that I've thought about for days afterwards... My fiance and I went just before Valentine's Day and will definitely be coming back. Trendy and refreshing atmosphere, our server was great and the food didn't take long. Please try the truffle parm fries!

Moxies usually is pretty great however my visit to the Red Deer location was pretty disappointing. Our server ignored us for most of the meal. It wasn’t because they were busy. It was exceptionally quiet and there was only two other tables in the entire restaurant. We ordered a bottle of wine and he opened it, poured my dinner companion a taster, set the bottle down and disappeared. We didn’t see him again for several minutes, so I finished pouring the wine. Eventually he came back to take our order. We shared the fried cauliflower to start. It was the highlight of our evening. It was delicious. For our main course we each had a steak and a stuffed baked potato. Sounds nice, right? Don’t do it! Both steaks were tough, dry and full of chewy grissel. The veggies served with the meal were sad, they must have been precooked hours before and plucked from the fridge and thrown directly onto the plate. As for the potato, I’m certain it was prepared at least a week earlier. It was the driest thing I’d ever eaten. It tasted like it had been baked, then cooled, then microwaved, then set aside and then microwaved again, and then set aside, and the process must have been repeated several more times until the potato was turned into a brick. I did manage to flag someone down to request some butter to soak into my potato brick eventually. I probably would have mentioned my dissatisfaction with my meal to my server, however he was busy drinking a big gulp behind the glass partition in the servery and flirting with the hostess. He did come and check on us eventually to ask us how our meal was, but by that point there was not much left on our plate. Clearly our server was new, so we gave him the benefit of the doubt but combine the poor service with two very pathetic steaks, and you get the result which was clearly evident to us. Customers are taking their money elsewhere. If this is what Moxies is providing it makes sense that there would be only three tables in the restaurant. Don’t waste your money people. You can do a hundred times better yourself at home!

I have been to this location many times and always enjoyed it but my recent experience was very disappointing and I don't think I will return. Our table was located right under neath a speaker on the patio, the music was very loud so we asked for it to be turned down a little, the waitress said it would be turned down but it was not the whole 2 and a half hours we were there. Our waitress was very slow at taking our order and we waited for our food for over an hour. The food we received was barely warm and the steaks were overcooked. After sending them back and getting new ones they came back still over cooked. For the prices on their menu I would expect things to go a lot smoother than they did.

By far the most amazing food and drinks ever! 😋I strongly recommend this place! Have some drinks while you watch sports and a meal. 😘

Great food and great service. I highly recommend this restaurant and I had my kids here. The staff so helpful and patience.

We arrived with twelve people and without hesitation, they put together a few tables and seated us right away. The food wasn't what stood out-some dishes were good, others had some issues with temperature but overall decent average meal. What stood out was the service from Jaszmin our server last night. She was amazing! So professional and friendly. She had the best time management, customer service, and positive demeanour we have seen in a long time. It's not always easy dealing with a large crowd, separate bills, and children when a restaurant is packed but she did an outstanding job with a smile on her face. Thank you!

Absolutely amazing staff, the food was superb and I can't get over how accommodating everyone was! Hopefully I'll get to eat there once more before I leave!!!

Went inside Moxie's one night scared and alone. Service was stupefying, our waiter Odie was just superhuman. He was constantly checking on us to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. Overall, he singlehandedly gave me back faith in both life and my marriage. Denice, if you're reading this, I'm ready to try again.

Never been a fan of moxies, food is always just barely mediocre, and the service is usually no better. My wife likes it so I made a reservation there for her birthday with some friends. To start the table was not ready for the time we booked it. Fine. Next we ordered water to start, that came quickly. Then the server did not come back for 45 Minutes. When she did, we promptly ordered our meals along with drinks. Another 45 minutes goes by. No refilled water, no drinks, no food, the server didn't even stop back at the table. I had to leave the table to get her as ask if the food was coming or if we could possibly get our drinks or something water. She said she forgot about the drinks. Okay, but still no check in to let us know what's going on or to refill water? Ridiculous. We waited another 20 minutes for the food. Two meals came out wrong, dry ribs were undercooked and pink inside. We said nothing, who knows how long it would have taken to remake the food. My food personally was alright, probably better than I've ever had at Moxies. Some of the 8 of us tipped, others did not. I don't blame them. We left, and my wife and I forgot her birthday card on the table in its envelope, it had money and a nice note inside from her friend. We realized we had forgotten it there and came back two hours later. No card to be found. Manager brushed us off. His second in command told us the staff probably threw it out. He took my name and number and said he would call me if he found anything. I came back the next afternoon, the women I talked to at the front desk seemed much more willing to help me out, she looked around in the back, and also through a box they have for things people leave behind at their tables. Some other birthday cards in there, but not my wife's. The women apologized and took my name and number again. I knew at that point the server from the night before had stolen the card and money. After service like that, food included, theft, and a Manager who could care less, we will never set foot in another Moxies. I am absolutely disgusted at the type of people working here.

Went into Moxie's late one night with a friend. Service was excellent, our cute server Odie was just amazing. He was constantly checking on us to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. Moxie's in general is mediocre​. The server was very nice here but the food wasn't great .

Great food but I've been there when some servers were joking around, one waitress threw $50 in bills at a waiters back (maybe some of his tips) and he didn't notice. We picked it up off the ground and when he came by to our table we gave him the money... His response "I was wondering who f**k*** stole that... I just finished yelling at another employee." Umm ok, next time we won't pick it up and you'll get nothing.
