Review Abc Country Restaurant - Red Deer

Quiet, cozy, relaxed atmosphere for a good family dinner. Staff are always friendly, prompt service. Good selection of meals, including my favorite steak sandwich. My son loves the milkshakes.

I here this restaurant is under new ownership. That’s obvious. Horribly understaffed. Had a reservation for 4 pm.None of the staff knew what waitress was supposed to serve us. No one came to take our drink order until 4:30. Waited 10 min for our drinks. Gave our food order. Food didn’t come out for another hour. Food was cold. My fish had an odd bitter taste. Couldn’t eat it. I’ve been bringing my grandma to this restaurant for years. Her favourite place. We will not be back. I felt sorry for the waitresses. There just wasn’t enough of them. No one cleaning tables either. Every woman that came into the restaurant got flowers. No one at our table did. ( 4 mothers present) Our waitress looked like she was fighting back tears the entire time. Poor girl.

Today is the best ever day to go. My family of three kids came to Red Deer and dropped off here for the first meal. The waitress was nice and suggested us good-to-have dishes when ordering. The layout of the restaurant is warm, and the decorations are fancy. Surely I will go again ☺️

Fantastic service. There were 8 of us including 1 person in wheelchair and a 6 yr old. We were never rushed along and got everything we ordered. We felt very comfortable and enjoyed our meal much better service than some supposedly fancier restaurants we have been to recently.

If you want great country style breakfast items ABC is the place for you. Portions are really large and the staff is friendly. If you are an avid pescatarian this is NOT the place for you. Not many fish options on the menu.

Seems nice. Large dining area. Don't order 1 side pancake, it costs .99 less than ordering 3 pancakes. When you mention it to the waitress she just smiles and says, "I know." P.s. they don't have halibut fish and chips as mentioned on menu....sad.

1.waiting -5min at Sunday lunch time. 2.clean table and nice staff 3. Buffet or menu it's up to your preference. 4.food waiting time around 10-15 min. Restaurant was full. Menu-general basic . Nothing bad and nothing great Fish and chips .fish was not evenly fryed. Chips was no bad little oily. Burger very basic and not seasoning at all.same ,oily fries. Overall Food 3 out of 5 Staff and service 5 out 5 Comfort food.

The chicken was great. I ordered potatoes skin fries and got mixed vegetables..lol. The service was strange, couldn't get a bill. A mix up on drink refill, sent to wrong table. The food tasted good, but they have organization issues.
