Review The Donut Mill - Red Deer

A great pit stop to make if you’re travelling between Edmonton and Calgary and are craving something sweet or savoury! They have a wide range of donut flavours and some hot foods like soup, sandwiches and subs. We got a dozen donuts for $22 and a cream of potato soup. The soup was very good and had a healthy amount of potatoes and bacon. We tried the honey dip donut which was lightly glazed and not too sweet. The donut was fluffy and a little chewy. Would recommend you try this place at least once!

Love the donuts @the Donut Mill. There is a good variety to choose from. Super soft and delicious donuts. The best part is there are many more options other than the yummy chocolate ones. Orange, Vanilla lemon, Maple, Apple etc. Enjoyed every variety of it. Totally worth the drive here.

Great friendly service as we stopped in just before closing. Huge variety of donut flavors. Bonita are baked fresh daily. Freshness has a 2 day window, hence best eaten quickly😆

Stopped here for a quick food stop and gas, quite disappointed to see that theres chicken noodle soup on their soup of the day sign but when I ordered they said it wasn’t available. Their donuts have a cakey texture but we only ordered two. Maybe other flavours would have a different texture? The staff were nice and friendly! The place is cozy and giving diner vibes. Would recommend to try if you’re stopping by Red Deer.

Took me long enough to try these delicious donuts I keep on hearing about from my friends. It’s really that good!! Chewy soft bites with just the right amount of filling, and almost 20+ flavours to choose from, which is a perfect reason to get 2 Dozens of donuts! I also tried their mini donut bites and it’s way better than timbits, and cheaper too! (20pcs for just $5). The staff were cheerful and always happy to serve. They also have eclairs, soups, sandwiches, coffee and more. I tried to arrive around 8-9am and there weren’t lines at all. They kept the indoor restaurant neat and clean at all times. I wish they open a second location in Calgary. Wishful thinking! :) Definitely coming back!

Talk around the office that The Donut Mill had great donuts in Red Deer, we had to check it while passing through. Assured, these donuts were quite good. The dough was a tad firm but fillings!? Yummy! Overall a great product. No issues with the service despite their drive-thru being renovated. One minor strike, they don't have diabetic options. Nothing keto or sugar free. AND yes I'm aware it's a donut shop! Just sad that my wife wasn't able to enjoy them with the rest of our family.

After hearing about donut mill, I had to stop by when I was in red deer. They had a lot of flavours and varieties to choose from. They were all light and airy and packed with delicious filling. My only regret was not buying a dozen. Made it in the nick of time before they closed and the cashier was really helpful with her recommendations. Must definitely come back to try their other items!

It's a fun pitstop to enjoy some Donuts. The Donuts are better than Tim Hortons, but not particularly high quality either. They have creative names for their Donuts, but in my opinion, they sounded better than they tasted. Don't get me wrong, the Donuts are good, just not particularly excellent. Tried a box of 12 and the venetian cream was actually just like vanilla pudding inside. Overall it's like better than Tim Hortons but not as good as Krispy Kreme.

Always a must stop when passing thru Red Deer. Always fresh food and friendly staff. Never leave without trying something new on the donut rack after having had a bread bowl of soup, chili or stew. Yum yum! Highly recommended to anyone who likes good old fashioned comfort food!

Red Deer. Oh that place across from the Donut Mill. A must stop whenever within a 100 kilometers of that place by the Donut Mill. They have quick service, a huge selection of donuts, and lots of Lunch Choices.

A donut shop that actually smells like a donut shop inside. Fresh donuts made .in store and you can sure taste the difference. The beef stew was really good too.

Can’t go by without buying donuts. Very busy place has good food as well

Just enjoyed a great sandwich and donut for lunch and it was 3 in the afternoon. Bread and donuts were so fresh. Loved it.

My favourite part of roadtrips is popping in for the most delicious donuts you can buy. Heck, even if my SO is going through without me...donuts come home! Their old fashioned plain are to die for <3 (followed by the apple pies...sogood!)

If you haven't been, you must. The donuts look and taste amazing. The food selection is excellent as well, try out the poutine, it will not disappoint.

Good gravy! (Figure of speech as well as literal in this case!) We love this place! The only donut worth every calorie that goes in! (Pick one, any one). We live in Edmonton and will never just drive by without stopping. Good coffee. Great food, sandwiches, and the BEST beef stew! We just now stopped in on our way through and my 9-year-old asked me if she could have a donut and stew!. . . 10 a.m. . .sure!

It has the best flavors. Definitely, a must stop and purchase place if in the Red Deer area. And right on Gasoline Alley, so convenient as well.

Absoultely amazing...wide variety of donuts..it was recommended to me by one of my clients..loved it..went down from Edmonton just for donuts..once I tried em..l just loved em..their donut of the month Jolly Rancher was out of this world..it's so worth it..Kudos..
