This fast food chain offers the fries made of the potatoes from île d'Orléans, so their fries are of a different category than the regular fries from the regular fast food chains. It's a must have poutine when you go to Québec city 🙌

Nice fast food chain for some quick burgers and poutine. Everything tasted really good so no complaints here.

Still one of the best places to buy fries and poutine. Crispy homemade fries. Delicious gravy. Fresh cheese curds. The rest of the menu is not to my taste, burgers are very small and dry. Hot dogs are mediocre. Also prepare to spend a little more than at your typical fast food.

Not bad roast beef sandwich and good fries but more expensive than I thought.

One of the top poutines I've had.

I would request Chez Ashton to serve vegetarian options too for their famous poutine. I was surprised to know that Chez Ashton has only one type of gravy for their poutine which is pork meat based. And we came to know about this while we were ordering our food. Consequently, we cancelled our orders and came back outside. There should be a vegetarian gravy option too for people who don't eat pork meat or pork meat based products.
I would say that the lady at the register was polite and honest and conversed with us in English. We have been facing a language barrier at few other restaurants while ordering food.
We were visiting Quebec City from Toronto and had heard about Chez Ashton from a friend.

Great poutine, never actually tasted anything else on the memu. The lack of recycling for their aluminium containers is absolutely baffling and unacceptable in 2021.

The classic in Quebec as for as poutine goes. Simple menu, fast service but somewhat pricier than mom and pop fries and burger stands. You cannot go wrong and ingredients are fresh. Much better choice when it comes to burgers than the golden arches by a mile...
