This was the best restaurant dinner I had in a decade. We arrived at 20.40 hr without a reservation. The very friendly staff sat us down at the bar and we had a drink. Thanks to the pleasant atmosphere and the splendid company, the 40 minute wait for a table was over before we knew it. We had the onion soup and a "plaisir pour deux" board as entrees and the boudin noir and the coquilles a Jacques as mains. All of it was simply delicious, some of the best and most sophisticated food you'll ever eat! And in well sized portions too. They have an extensive wine list and the servers are fast, extremely friendly, and very knowledgeable. Not a cheap restaurant but not excessive either, certainly worth your money. Only tip for improvement: the website should advertise reservations are necessary during peak periods (weekends etc.)
J'y suis allé pour un verre avec une amie.... Évidemment, c'est jamais juste pour un verre. Après un apéro avec du caractère, c'est suivi le menu "découverte" la table d'hôtes de Chez Rioux et Pettigrew, où l'on se laisse guider à l'aveugle dans les plats le tout accompagné de coupe de vin judicieusement conseillé par la sommelière. Et voilà comment se passe une soirée qui débute par "un verre". Ce sont toujours les meilleures!
