Best breakfast on the Sunshine Coast - amazing value for what you get in terms of quality and portion sizes. Service is wonderful all of the staff are friendly and the cafe itself has a lovely atmosphere with a story behind it. The owner came out to check on our food which we appreciated. Great outdoor seating too - we will definitely be back!
I eat breakfast at Edie Rae's 4 or 5 days a week. I know the staff and the owner and I know they consider each other family.
In fact the staff bought Kelly, (the owner) a father's day gift because he's so good to them. I could tell you many stories about the kindness I've witnessed but this sums it up.
Every day during the winter months he drives them back and forth to work to make sure they're safe.
There's a review here about a confrontation between Kelly and a customer.
I won't go into a lot of detail but I will say, if you treat his much loved and highly valued staff poorly Kelly will not say the customer is always right.
Best breakfast in town. Always friendly and super clean everywhere. A very historic hotel is where the restaurant is located. The rooms are fashionable in the decor of the pre 1950’s. Absolutely beautiful. Ask Kelley anything about anything and he’ll have a good answer or a great hookup for you. Awesome servers too. I recommend any of the Eggs Benedict choices with their freshly made Hollandaise. Nothing deep fried either, and the Homemade Blackberry Jam OMG take a jar home with you.
Great little option. Quite enjoyed the breakfast. Super kind service. Didn’t get into the patio as they don’t open it until 9 am but it was great otherwise. Nice ambience. Not the greatest photo as I dove into before realizing I didn’t get the photo
Breakfast was included with our stay at The Old Courthouse Inn. Tasty homemade breakfast with baked beans, crispy bacon and decaf coffee in a french press. They accommodated my food sensitivities. Service was friendly. The restaurant like the Inn is quaint and cozy.
Great breakfast! The heavenly hash with a side of salsa made my vegan day!! The waitresses were wonderful, very pleasant and helpful. The cooks had the food cooked quickly and deliciously. The location is fantastic right in the old courthouse in the historical area of Powell River. I will definitely return on my next visit.
