Great food and great staff. Hands down one of the best Thai places that I have eaten at (and I've eaten in Thailand)

Aroy Thai is great. Awesome food, people, and experience. One of our go-to restaurants in Port Moody! Everything on the menu is good but save room for the fried banana with ice cream.
Food is good. Ordered yellow curry, coconut soup, and pad thai. Everything was flavourful. We got it medium spicy and asked for chili flakes on the side. Definitely made it much better. Would recommend others to try this if theyre in the mood for something not too heavy and on the spicy side of things. Would revisit for sure.
Also, the red milk tea is good!
Aroy curry is the best I've had outside of Thailand. The staff is family friendly and remembers is each time. I also love the Tom Kha Gai and the fried bananas in ice cream.
This is some of the most authentic Thai food you'll find in the lower mainland. A lot of places seem to "westernize" their food, but Aroy Thai is the real deal (if you're not good with spice, order mild!) The food is also really fresh.
We've been back a few times now. The owner is super friendly and often chatting with customers. They have the usual red/green/yellow curries and pad thai, but also some really unique dishes. My personal favourite is the Kee-Mao with organic tofu.
If you're after authentic Thai food, definitely give it a try!
I've been to Thailand numerous times and have eaten my fair share of Thai food in Canada as well and like the food at Aroy Thai. The flavors are authentic (if not always the ingredients) and the curry's are great, as is the Cashew Chicken. I wouldn't say their Pad Thai is their strong suit, so I wouldn't judge the place on that. As someone else mentioned, they use spice liberally, so although my husband and I like a good amount of spice, we get mild here as it usually still has a good kick. The staff are lovely as well and you are supporting a local small business, warranting supporting. We used to go here routinely but the only draw back is that they stopped taking Mastercard which is the only CC we carry, and we never think to have cash on us, so we now often go elsewhere.
I like this place a lot. Their food is fresh and 'clean' - not at all preprocessed and free of stock sauces. It is distinctive, a bit different from what some, including the next reviewer, expect based on others' interpretations of Thai dishes. It is also hot - don't order anything above mild unless you really like things that way.
I'm surprized by the previous two negative reviews, but of course you can't please everyone.
Finally a good Thai restaurant!. It must be pretty good especially now that I've gone there twice in a week. The first time I went, service was terrible but the food was pretty good and that's why I came back. I ordered the chicken with coconut milk soup with medium hot. So good ! It was perfect on a cold wet day. I followed that with the yellow curry chicken...yummm. That was also medium hot! I can eat spicy food so for those if you who's never tried Thai, I wouldn't recommend medium but mild . I was so full by now but just had to do dessert! Omg...fried banana and ice cream? It was amazing !
Our Favourite Thai Place. The owner is delightful, and even started making a version of Kow Soi for us that ended up on the menu. Everything we've had here has been authentic and delicious. This is a real comfort food place for us.

Best Thai Food in town!. This is hands down the BEST Thai Food in Metro Vancouver, nevermind Port Moody. Really authentic Thai flavours and spice.
All the food isn't just hot/spicy for the sake of being spicy, it has a fantastic flavour profile and everything I have tried there from Tom Yum Goon, to Mango Sticky Rice is delicious.
The best is the Pad Gah Prao Gai. The chicken is super tender and the beans are crunchy, you know they use fresh ingredients, nothing frozen or per-prepared here.
The owners are adorable little old Thai ladies, gotta love small business owners. Go and give it a try; you won't be disappointed. And if you order Thai hot, you better be ready to sweat tons and breath some fire, because they'll make it HOT.
Their hours are kind of funky though, so best to give them a call before going down there!

This place was hands down the best Thai food I have ever eaten! When we arrived I saw the woman bringing in groceries, the food was so fresh tasting. They def use fresh ingredients, no sauces from bags etc. The woman running it was very kind and friendly. We had fish cakes, chicken satay, Tom Yum Goon soup, salmon Penang curry, and for dessert mango sticky rice and Thai iced coffee. YUM! This is my new favorite spot!!!

This is the best Thai food you can get in town. Great service and authentic food. I've been to Thailand many times and I know what's Thai food taste like. This is the real deal. You must try it to believe it.
Ate there for the first time tonight, had the green curry with coconut rice and my boyfriend had the aroy curry with a delicious peanut sauce. We both totally loved this place. My bf doesn't have a lot of experience with Thai food and he kept saying how he wants to come back soon. I love Thai food and it was awesome, would recommend it to anyone :). Plus the women working there were all very sweet! Great prices too!
Splendid Experience Awesome Thai. Most authentic Thai in Tri-City; I did take out lunch with a group of co-workers from our office and discovered a very delicious Thai. Since they have good variety foods, fantastic taste, and awesome service, the owner and staff are wonderful and attentive. My family and I become their regular customers wanted to try everything in the menu, my favourite are Pad Thai, Kee Mao Noodle, Cashew Chicken, and as well as the Red and Green Curry. I can’t say enough about Aroy Thai and my pleasant experience eating there at all times are always the same great fresh meals also clean and warm atmosphere. Definitely recommended!
Excellent authentic thai cuisine. Food was delicious, well prepared and they did not use ketchup in their Pad Thai. Their medium spicy is Thai medium spicy - which means a little spicier than usual. Small restaurant but the service is very good. Best Thai food in the Tri-Cities, and not too expansive compared to Chada Thai. Their curries (about $15.00/dish) come with a bowl of rice and their portions are reasonable. If you like Thai food that does not cost an arm and a leg, give this place a try.
Good food and family style service. Very fresh and tasty food.
The yellow curry sauce was very creamy, flavourful, and rich. It was some of the best Thai curry sauce I have had.
