Best food I have had in a long time! My friend and I had brunch with no complaints. My quiche was so light and fluffy with perfect pastry. The beet salad was very fresh with a plenty of flavour. Our server was very attentive and friendly and the dining time was great. Not too long and not being rushed out. Very comfortable and relaxing in the dining room. I will return.
We love the restaurant, the food and the staff. Wonderful atmosphere in a restored heritage building. The meals are prepared with care and is an epicurean delight. We have gone back again and again that we know all the servers well and they remember us.
Gusto never disappoints. Always friendly professional and courteous staff, always delicious and beautifully displayed, always makes me want to go back, and we do...this time the cappuccino. ..the dessert and that beautiful full bodied red wine (recommended by Kaitlan) ohhh and those brussel sprouts. ..oh my!
Chocolate brownie with orange creme anglaise and vanilla gelato is worth going for alone.

Unbelievable food, great atmosphere, and great drinks and drink selection. Pizza was amazing and so was the desert and latte. The menu is not that big but there are a few different options and it is to my understanding that they are all excellent. The tables and chairs are comfortable and there are a few setups with big living room chairs that look pretty comfy. My only issue was the slow service, and our lattes didn't arrive with our deserts or at the same time. Also we waited almost 15 minutes after our desert plates and coffee mugs were sitting there empty and we had our card out. Waiter was great and helpful.
Set menu for Valentine's Day. Everything was delicious! One of our favourite places to eat, drink and relax!
Such amazing authentic Italian food! Definitely worth stopping for, not to mention the amazing service received by the staff

Superb meal..dessert spectacular..and service exceptional!
Fantastic! From the atmosphere to the service to the meal, 5 star all the way!
We love it there. The food is fantastic. We did get bread but we have been there before and didn't get bread so it varies I guess. Love it though.
The Rainbow Trout was beautiful in its presentation with the two trout pieces stacked onto one another. The spaghetti squash was delicious. I was so impressed with how moist and tender the rainbow trout was. It was cooked to perfection!
We went to Port Hope for my birthday lunch yesterday and decided to try Trattoria Gusto. The resto looks nice & the lady seated us near the fireplace. We ordered their Caesar Salad, Puttanesca pasta and the Sicilian pizza and we were not disappointed. The food are delicious and the servicing size are huge - more than enough for two people. Overall, we were happy. For my birthday, they gave me a FREE desert with a candle for me to blow. That's extra special for me and unforgettable. We will definitely be back soon :)
Trattoria Gusto is great looking little place, with friendly wait staff. I went in for a quick dinner on the recommendation of a good friend on Zomato. The antipasto was really good, the pasta sauce (Pomodoro) was good, maybe a little heavy on the olive oil. The California red wine suggested by the wait staff was great and went well with out all. Maybe unfortunately for the restaurant (distraction) my big highlight was watching the Jays go up 6-3 on the large TV over the bar. That was great. But I would go back and try some of their other offerings. It's always nice to find a good Italian restaurant.
Great service, food was delicious. I had the Club Sandwich (sans bacon) with Caesar salad, it was delish! Off of the brunch menu. For desert I had a coffee and biscuit, also so good! Very happy with my meal as a whole!
One of my favourite restaurants, great service and delicious food. Sad that the crab cakes are no longer on the menu as they were one of my favourite items. Great atmosphere and lovely patio on the river.
My family went here for dinner. We all had salads - beat and goats cheese - was good. My husband had chicken - good, my kids and I had pasta - also very good. Service was excellent. However, very expensive for what you get.
Great food and atmosphere. There was eight of us for dinner and we were there just after a group of 30 had arrived. We had a time limit to get to a lecture series but the restaurant was just great in making sure we met our time constraint. The food was brought out all together and hot. The chicken parmesan that I had was the best I have ever tasted. will certainly be going back. Trattoria Gusto is located in Port Hope which is a little over an hour east of Toronto off the 401 well worth the drive.
