Very tasty, good burgers. Nice beach location, we'll come back another time when we can stay and enjoy the beach. Food took anout ten minutes longer than they said, but we weren't in a rush and it was worth it.

This family owned and operated establishment is the best place for service. They are so pleasant and want you to be happy. They go way above and beyond to make it a great experience. Incredible giving and caring. I would highly recommend.

A place I went in the 60s with my parents an iconic Port Elgin spot.

What is the name of this place? First Base Family Restaurant or The Beachside Cafe? Either way, the food is great and served hot and fresh. The picnic tables and location right on the main beach are a plus!

Best French fries in the world. My family has been visiting Port Elgin and buying French fries from the Beachside Café for years, and honestly, we can't hype them up enough. The family sized portion is awesome. They also have great ice cream too! This place is a must if you're visiting Port Elgin's

2nd visit treated terribly both times by a horribly rude women with red hair. So you have inherited a restaurant monopoly on the beach don't take it forgranted and treat your customers proorly. My family will be creating a tradition of packing a beach picnic and visiting other ice cream shops after
