Review The Beach House - Port Dover

My husband and I came here for dinner and everything was exceptional. The drinks were reasonably priced, the food options were spectacular. The service was friendly and the toffee cake was amazing. The view and sounds from the beach really made the night special. They had lights on the patio for when it got dark. The best dining experience we have had in a while

Love this little restaurant! Service was great, portions are huge, prices are reasonable, and the service was super friendly! Will definitely be back soon! Rueben sandwich is bomb and the fish and fries are fabulous 👌

What an experience to say the least. Everything started out great. We received our app but no side plates that was okay just nachos. We noticed people around us who were sat much later than us had food we were like huh maybe it's just busy. Our server never came to grab the dirty nacho plate. She walked by our table about four times and never picked it up. Our mains came and no one took the dirty plate I was shocked I had to put it on the ground beside me because no room on the table, it was horrific! Then our food was cold and little bits of fish! Never got my refill and our server always came out and helped all the other tables except us she at one point had only her back turned to us I couldn't believe it I've never been treated this way. We were so kind too. I finally had to yell excuse me so she would come bring us containers and our bill. It took her 20 minutes and only brought one container. My mom was so upset on her experience here. I was in complete shock. She finally brought our bill and it was covered in chocolate ice cream. We thought maybe it's just busy but she attended so many other tables around us. We are confused why this happened to us. Super disappointing and left a horrible taste in our mouths. Needless to say we won't be back for a while. Loved the location of this place too.

Great venu with a beautiful view. Definitely would recommend any of the fish dishes. The fish taco was amazing.

This was our first stop after getting into Port Dover and we fortuitously landed beachside seats with shade right under the palm trees, because the ladies in front of us wanted a proper table. We made it work, to our advantage. I had the local fried perch & seafood chowder which a lot of people seemed to be having, despite the summer temps. Had a glorious time. Being on the beach, with the Sirius satellite radio Pop Rock channel playing in the background, I felt like I was at an all-inclusive !

Very nice place at a very fair price. The food was delicious, not much wait, exclusive parking. You can choose to dine in or on their patio right in front of the lake, we really enjoyed. The only reason I didn't give a 5 stars is because we asked to be moved to a louge chair after eating just for drinks which was vacant for about 1 hours and the didn't allow it and didn't explain why, but over all I do recommend.

I ordered the mussels and 4piece panko perch on a Saturday afternoon after a rain. The dining room was full because the patio was closed. I found the service excellent and the food was great. I even got an extra piece of perch. I come a few times a year and am always satisfied.

Service is great. Location is great. Food is great. And they have REAL palm trees on the beach! I couldn’t believe it. The waitress said they send them down to Florida every winter and bring them back in the spring or summer. It definitely adds to the vibe.
