Review Schofields Bistro - Port Dover

This Bistro was a very nice find, they had excellent ambiance and the service was great and friendly. I had their brunch daily specials Benny with crab cake, it was delicious and the poached eggs were right on point!

I recommend this restaurant. We had the best quesadillas we have ever had anywhere. Lots of cheese and chicken. Full of wonderful mushrooms that were cooked just right. The sweet potato fries were perfect, hot, and crisp. The soup of the day was piping hot, thick, and flavourful. The portions were large. Service was excellent. We will drive two hours to go there again. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

We’ve always had great meals at Schofields but tonight was disappointing! Veggies were barely cooked and cold. Prime rib was the only hot thing on my plate served with cold Yorkshire pudding. The waitress was lovely and offered to have my dinner “remade” but dinner put looses something if you have to eat your dinners one at a time. I was surprised no one came out to see how they could make things right. Won’t be going back any time soon.

Just enjoyed a great meal. Rib eye steak was cooked to perfection and the Lemon pepper pickeral was so tasty. To top it off for dessert frozen lemon meringue pie ....yummy. i highly recommend Schofields Bistro in Port Dover

I rated you a two for a reason. Instead of removing my review you should have reached out to try and rectify the horrible dinner we had. I'll be sure to make it a verbal review whenever I am asked. You can't delete reviews everywhere. Own your mistakes. It's called customer service.

VERY VERY EXPENSIVE. My husband and I went for lunch. I got a 17 dollar quiche (broccoli, bacon and cheese) it was all broccoli very little bacon and NO EGG. Cesar salad was warm, I prefer mine cold. My husband had an 18dollar quesadilla and all the stuff fell out because of lack of cheese in it. Service was good

The food is always fantastic with exceptional service from Signa and the rest of the staff. It's so refreshing to find an establishment that you can be confident you'll not only get great value but consistency as well.

The Hollandaise was definitely not from scratch. I think that tells you everything you need to know. Still typing because I need 140 characters to post.

As a Port Dover resident, I do my best to support local businesses, but for Scholfields I will make an exception. I ordered a Cesare salad and the "rack" of lamb. Before I ordered I asked if the salad dressing was house made or bottled and was told it was made in house. After one bit it was clear that it was from a bottle. If I wanted that, I could have done to No Frills and bought some. The $32.00 "rack" of lamb consisted of four microspcoic lamb chops. When I voiced my discontent to the waitress she stood there with a blank look on her face and choose to ignore me. She came back so I said I wanted her to tell the owner I was unhappy, she said he was in the kitchen and she would. When she came back she told me that in the future they were going to seek out a new supplier of lamb so they could offer bigger portions. That's great for people that eat there in the future, for me it was the worst $186.00 I've ever spent in a restaurant. Bottom line, there are better restaurants in Port Dover, restaurants that will actual address your concerns on the rare occasion you have them.

Superb. Worth the drive pork chop was superb ... risotto was excellent and the seafood pasta was amazing well worth the price and drive

On a lovely Sunday in August we wandered into Port Dover wondering where to eat. We walked up Main Street and found ourselves standing in front of Schofields Bistro. This is a really good looking restaurant! It is housed in a historic renovated building with a tonne of ambiance.
