I've just recently finished personal training here and I had an amazing time. My trainer Simon was very kind and helpful, he understood what I wanted to do and helped me do it. All of the staff are very friendly and no one has ever given me trouble in the gym. Would highly recommend going here if you are looking for training.

I started going to the gym last year, and Club16 has been a great option for me since it's quite affordable! I went in with the intention to make going to the gym a weekly routine and to reach my physical goals. I bought a personal training package with Baran to help with that, and omg, she's been amazing. At first I was skeptical if personal training was really worth it, but I decided to make the investment. There were so many things I didn't know from bracing to protein intake to hypertrophy. Whenever I went in for my session, it held me accountable and I could also look forward to it. It was like I was going to the gym to meet a friend who always pushed me to my limit (in the best way possible)! When I had any questions, she'd always try and give me the most informative answer. She has a lot of technical knowledge and I could tell she was passionate about helping me reach my goals! I highly recommend Baran if you're looking for a trainer, absolutely love her!

Gym is nice and staff are friendly. Started the gym not too long ago and the two personal trainers I had/have are amazing! Meghan is my PT, and she helps with so many different components important to exercise like mobility, diet and lifestyle tips and tricks. She also makes things super fun and perfectly heavy :). I now wake up doing sit-ups.

I have been trained by Simon the past 6 months and he is a great trainer. He personalizes workouts based on our goals and our body type and explains in great detail how we need to perform each workout. I personally benefitted from his training a lot and would highly recommend him.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Simon Zhao as my personal trainer, and I have to say that I was thoroughly impressed with his professionalism, expertise, and dedication to helping me reach my fitness goals. From our very first session, Simon took the time to listen to my concerns and assess my current level of fitness, He always pushed me to do my best, but never pushed me beyond my limits, and was always willing to adjust the workout to ensure that it was effective and safe. Overall, I would highly recommend Simon Zhao as a personal trainer to anyone looking to improve their fitness and reach their goals. He is an excellent coach and a true professional, and I feel lucky to have had the opportunity to work with him.

Honestly, I do not know where to begin. Words can not even begin to describe the level of feeling I have toward this Jim. Whether it was the staff or the gym layout, I found that every step of the way, I was confronted with these emerging feelings. The very moment I gazed upon the layout of this gains garden, I was overwhelmed by a feeling of unworthiness. In that moment of self doubt, I was approached by none other than the absolute Giga Chad, Trevor Lindon himself. He then placed his hands of steel upon my undeserving shoulders, and stated "Welcome to the church of Iron little one. This place is yours to seize." A single quiver made its way down my spine, before I proceeded the grip the bar of the whimsical "lat-pull down" machine. I pulled with all my might, and with every fiber of my being, I felt my lats and brain engage. I then found a washroom as the pre workout had began to take effect (Absolute Certified Uhh-Ohh Moment). Upon entering the bathroom, I was greeted with a higher presence that can only be described in emotion. Words fail to capture what my 5 senses did that fateful day. As I turned the corner and gazed upon the divinity, that was the club 16 male washrooms. From the shimmering counter tops to the spotless mirrors. I felt a single tear come to my eye as I breathed in the fresh scent of raw gains. The level of cleanliness was unmatched via any establishment within a 50-mile radius. I would feel safer placing my tongue upon any centimeter of this room rather than any Jr chicken produced by the inmates referred to as "McDonald's employees." I have elevated my physique to a level uncomprehendable to mere mortal scum. Some may call it perfection, but us higher beings refer to it as heavenly. I plan to attend this safe heaven for the rest of my (now enlightened) days. Personal training with Aaron S has been such a game changer for me physically and mentally. I came in with 0 knowledge and my confidence, posture, demeanour, and physical body have clearly improved. He has been extremely accommodating to all my questions and time changes and scatterbrain. I trust Aaron completely as I try to reach my goals. The facilities are skookum. If you show up early in the AM (like 7am like me) you never have to wait for equipment. But even when I was there at 12 on a Friday, we didnt wait long or there was ALWAYS something else to do to work out the same body parts, which is a HUGE plus in working with a PT is their creative thinking on the spot. The tanning and hydromassage are included in the club fee and the front desk workers make me feel happy when they greet me and say goodbye. Such a small touch really makes a difference with my mood and my day. So thank you to everyone there for spreading that goodness and just being overall pleasant and nice. 10/10 would recommend Parking can be a competition but you'll always get a spot somewhere

I have been a member of club 16 for about 8 months now, and I can honestly say I love going here. I have been working with Baran as my trainer, she is a fantastic coach when it comes to teaching me different workouts, correcting my form and explaining the details to why an exercise is beneficial to me for reaching my goals. Baran goes the extra mile to be supportive, encouraging and also holds me accountable to keep me on track. She is incredibly sweet and understanding when it comes to personalizing workouts for your body if you are working through injuries, which has been excellent for me after being in a car accident. I highly recommend her if you are thinking of signing up!

I was new to working out at the gym and signed up for a personal trainer. I had a personal trained named Gurleen and she was super bubbly, super funny, we got along great. She made it feel like working out with a friend vs with a stranger, which was nice as I was very shy and had bad gym anxiety. It was really nice because it helped me with the confidence in the gym; which she also noticed and pointed out. I had 24 sessions with her 2x a week and it was the best decision. She helped me with everything from eating properly to proper form. She pushed hard and to the point where I could almost not finish my set. I still use her techniques and some workouts of hers today even though do not train with her anymore. 10/10 recommend Gurleen :)

Iโ€™ve been coming to Club 16 Coquitlam for almost 8 years and never once considered switching gyms! The staff are very welcoming, greet you with a smile on their face and are so helpful and kind to chat with. Theyโ€™re always finding ways to improve the facility and you can tell they care a lot about their members. Alannah is very insightful and professional, always willing to help with any concerns that may come up. Overall, I always look forward to my workout at this incredible gym!

If anyone is thinking about doing personal training at this gym, I highly recommend doing it with Gurleen. She is so knowledgeable and cares so much about her clients. I was very nervous when I started going to this gym as I had no idea how to use anything and feared embarrassing myself. However, she taught me so much and made me feel so comfortable and motivated me to do my best! She also makes you feel like a friend and is really fun to talk to and learn from. Thank you Gurleen!

Phenomenal gym. Nothing but positive experiences with both the staff and facility. Manager Matthew White was extremely helpful in arranging me with a new trainer after my previous trainer had stopped working there. He genuinely cared for my concern and provided me with great support quickly and efficiently! The reception staff is great as well. Hans Kristian and Birlyne never fail to put a smile on my face upon greeting me! Love this gym and team!

I have had the pleasure of attending this gym since its inception in 2013. It has always had one of the most competitive, and reasonable fee structure, throughout my membership here. I have seen varying operation staff both in management and front reception desk, over the last number of years. I believe that in the recent past , under the management of Matt White, and Fitness manager Logan Wong, the Gym is providing consistent and exemplary service to members. It feels great to visit the Gym , which is now endowed with great management . Kudos to Matt and Logan and the team they manage.
