If you want quality and variety, this is the place to be. It's usually always busy but that's what happens when you have great food, great service and a solid beer selection. I will definitely be back.
Good South Asian. I like this small place. Good food good staff and service. I always visit them at the local market and the Food Festival. Decent Pad Thai and the Nan pizza is oh so good. If I lived in Port Colbourne I would eat there more often.
Nice atmosphere, live acoustic singer on the patio and great food. Definitely will be a regular spot for us...
Tasty but not the best and kind of pricey. Everything we had here was tasty, but the price is high and the place is tiny/crowded. You're better off going to a good Indian place for butter chicken, or a good thai place for Pad Thai. Their renditions here are decent, when you figure that it's a place that tries to serve favourites from many different types of cuisine but nothing stands out as authentic. The butter chicken, for instance, isn't cooked in a tandoor oven, it's pan sauteed and cooked in the curry sauce. The pad thai was tasty enough but the noodles were a little overcooked. If you're in Port Colborne then give it a whirl since you won't find actual ethnic restaurants in that town (except fake Chinese places).
Love this place. Go there often. Food is always amazing. The owner is very friendly and involved. Always stops to say hello when he's there. The wait staff is wonderful. They are always attentive and accommodating. A great place to enjoy good food from different regions.
Amazing food, awesome atmosphere, delicious beer. Perfect place to relax with friends and family. (Be sure to make a reservation, especially for Friday and Saturday.)
Just had the pork vindaloo- spicy and fresh.
Good Spot!. The Smokin' Buddha is a great addition to the southern end of the Niagara Peninsula. Located in a former small train station, it has a funky interior with large windows and a great patio in the summer. (Unfortunately, the view is of a small strip mall across the street and a parking lot! A more vegetated screen would be an improvement IMO.)
The location is good--right off the Welland Canal and so a great destination for a beer after a walk or bike along the Canal trail or a mountain bike ride on nearby trails. Port Colborne's downtown hasn't been decimated by a mall (as happened in Welland) and there are a number of nice shops and places to eat. Definitely worth the drive if you aren't already in PC.
Back to the Buddha: I have found the service to be excellent and the beer choice is good too. The food is generally really good--my only negative reviews are of the of Pad Thai (bland) and the Naan bread (it's more like a Greek pita). I highly recommend the Smokin' Buddha.
Loved this restaurant. Menu has so many things in it that you would want.... My only complaint was I couldn't decide what I wanted since everything looked, smelled, and sounded so amazing! This little known gem is Port Colborne is worth the drive to get to!
