Review Zeus Greek Grill Gods - Pickering

One of my favourite Greek chicken salads I have ever had. Fresh veggies, juicy flavourful chicken, amazing dressing, good portion for a meal for one (large size). Found myself craving it every week. Sad to say that I will never be returning again. Over the past 2 months the quality has been going downhill consistently. The large salad ($10.99) has now been reduced to a side salad portion (half the size). The past 4 times we have ordered we end up having to check our food before leaving or else risk returning home to find a half filled container and missing items. We have spoken with the staff and owner multiple times now, and they always give us a reason why the mistake was made, what we should say to the staff next time when ordering, and urge us that it was a rare mistake and it won't happen again. Today it happened once again. Only half a portion of veggies, missing tzitziki, flavourless chicken. We spoke to the owner and he attempted to console us, but no customer should constantly worry about receiving the proper service. I think we will be voting for our local restaurants with our dollars somewhere else from now on. We really wanted to support Zeus but I can no longer force myself to after 2+ months of bad service.

A coworker and I come here frequently and we are always greeted with a smile. The food is excellent and the staff are great. Chicken is never over cooked and the salad dressing is one of my favourites. We have always had a good experience here!

O.k so at first this place was fantastic. Food quality and service was excellent. This seems to have gone south of the border! The food portions and quality are suffering. In my last order the salad was limb lettuce and veggies not as fresh as they used to be. Now you have to order over $30 and still be charged $5 for delivery! That's a bit steep don't you think. I'm sad to see this place go the opposite direction. I used to recommend this place to a lot of people but I won't be doing that anymore. I really hope the owners read these reviews and take action before it's to late and it's another sad restraint gone under

Zeus has great tasty food, and wonderful staff! The food portions are generous compared to all other restaurants in the area. I would recommend this eatery to anyone and everyone! Keep up the WONDERFUL service Zeus! Edit 3 Years Later: It is a shame this place closed its doors!!!!

Surprisingly good! I was super impressed with Zeus and the quality of their food. The one thing I would say is that some items that I saw in store when I went to pickup my take out order were not even on the menu. All the more reason to return for another visit ;)

Amazing food, everything was fresh, huge portions. It was take-out counter style dining with a casual, laid back decor- but the food more than compensated. I could tell it was family owned and definitely a hidden gem.

The chicken souvlaki dinner is amazing. Wonderful tender chicken, very hot rice, nice potatoes, yummy salad and garlic toast. Nice large portion. Mike is doing a great job! We'll be back.

Delicious food, huge portions and great service. I had the calamari and it was fantastic. You have to try their fries, and if you're really looking for something delicious have the Greek chicken. Mmm

Definitely not impressed. Over priced for what You get. The fries where stale. Though I saw him fry them makes me think he just refuted them. Just tasteless!

I had tried their food a few months ago in the summer and thought it was decent - nothing special.<br/>I just recently finished eating some take out from this place, and it was probably the most disappointing greek food I have ever eaten! Don't get me wrong, I'm not a food critic nor is my palate able to distinguish the fine nuances of an olive. I don't usually complain about food being 'bad' so it takes a lot to get me to think something is. <br/><br/>Anyhow, my girlfriend and I got a chicken greek salad, a pork souvlaki dinner, and fried calamari. In total it came up to about $37. I'll start off with the good then talk about the bad.<br/><br/>Good<br/>-The rice was fine<br/>-The salad was fine I guess, but not as much as I thought we would have gotten. <br/><br/>Bad<br/>-The calamari was overdone. It felt like I was chewing a rubber band it was so bad. (also looked like they switched to frozen calamari)<br/>-The potatoes were doused in salt. I feel like I'm going to have a heart attack from high blood pressure right now (just kidding…but not really)<br/>-the pork and chicken were burnt. SO BURNT! They weren't like charcoal, but one side of every chicken bite was black. It seemed like they put it on a grill at HIGH, went to the washroom to take a number 2, came back, realized they're burnt, and just *shrugged*<br/><br/>When I ate at this place a few months ago thinking it was decent I thought I would be similar or the same as last time. Boy was I wrong. The portion sizes got smaller and the food got crappier - the prices, however, remained the same *sad*. I don't think i will get food from here ever again.

Decent take out Greek food. I found it to be pretty slow, so I would call ahead with your order. I ordered a dip made from roasted red peppers and feta. It was tangy but the texture was a bit weird from the crumbled feta, I would blend it more. Otherwise very flavourful. I also ordered the lamb dinner. They didn't asked how I wanted my lamb cooked, it was done medium well. The rice and potatoes were very good. I wasn't a fan of the Greek salad. It had huge pieces of bell peppers in it. I most likely won't be back as there are a few better options in Pickering for Greek take out.

We stopped by here for a quick bite. I got Greek fries and my wife got a Greek salad. Both were excellent! The salad had fresh, delicious ingredients; and the fries had an excellent flavour! <br/><br/>We will be coming back here for more of a meal next time we're in the area!
