Review Pita Delghts - Pickering

Asim Qurayshi
This is unfortunately one of the worst places I've ever eaten food from. The food is borderline, but the customer service is just terrible. The man working there is rude, inattentive, and doesn't seem to care about customer service at all. The shawarma plate was 10% meat, 90% rice, and the falafels were tiny, and burnt on the outside, and raw on the inside. I'm genuinely surprised that this place is able to stay in business, considering how mediocre the food is, how high the prices are, and how bad the customer service is.

Hole in the wall place with average shawarma. Eat expecting a lot more after reading the reviews. The fries were really salty and would prefer more meat.

The owner has such a poor attitude. He was rude to me for no reason. He has terrible customer service skills and has no regard for his customers. I use to go there when it was owned by someone else. I ordered a Chicken shawarma and that was literally all I ate yesterday and I’ve been having explosive diarrhea alll morning. I’ve never felt like this. I will neverrrrr eat here again.

Worst customer service I've ever experienced. The guy was rude! Got the chicken, rice, potato and salad. For the potato I got 6 French fries (not kidding) and the chicken was stale, hard and not a lot for $13 + tax. Should have just left when I saw the stale food and rude attitude when asking questions about the menu. This was my first and definitely my last.

Absolutely the best shawarma in town. We drive in from Oshawa to get takeout. The gentleman that works there is so sweet and always remembers my order.

Absolutely delicious hole in the wall shwarma spot. I'd go as far as to say one of the best or the best in all of Durham region. Reccomend shwarma plate with everything in salad. Extra green sauce (homemade jalapeno hot sauce topping) absolutely delicious Some people reviewed and have called the owners rude. They are very nice and the only reason why it may seem like that is because their might be a slight language barrier. They are very hospitable. So take some of these idiotic reviews and dont even listen to them

I would give this place a zero if i could. Stale food and extremely rude owner. Owner has no manners. I don't know how they can run a business. Avoid this place. Period.

Live in the area and felt like shawarma for the Wife and myself, I usually get my Pita from a place just east of Kingston Road and Whites after a someone we knew gave it a good review, this place has 2 for $9.99 pita and just recently noticed Pita Delghts had the same offer.

Well, they do have 2 for $9.99 but the serving of chicken is for lack of a better word tiny, not just the chicken, they added such a small amount of lettuce and tomatoes that the pita I just finished was mostly air. There's cost cutting and then there's just plain insulting the customer.

1 regular pita will fill me up, not a big eater, for $9.99 my regular place crams there pita full of chicken, this place? there was literally 5 pieces in there.

If your not hungry and feel like wasting $10 go here, otherwise there are much better alternatives for shawarma in the area.

The best falafel in the city!. I've tried many falafel places and none compares to the quality, taste and customer service of this venue. They make everything from scratch and put their heart and soul in their food. The gentleman who works here has the biggest heart - giving generous portions and ensuring everyhjng is made fresh. Love this place !!

Definitely not worth almost $7. Almost $7 for this Shawarma that had barely an ounce of meat, meat that was dry and not fresh and very few tomato and lettuce when I asked for lots. I'll never go there again and I'll be sure to tell all my friends, family and co-workers that it is definitely not worth the money. Terrible value.

Moody Service. These guys are rude, I ordered a salad and one of the guys went off to start making it. So I walked over to see what he was putting on it and as he started to put everything on it I asked him not to put the cucumbers on, then he started yelling at me because when I first walked in I was on my phone. There wasn't a line-up and they were finishing someone's order when I first got there.

So I just told him I don't want anything and left.

I am a regular there, but today was the last time I would go.

Friendly service. I've had a lot of shawarma, but this is definitely at the top. I really enjoy the authentic toppings that are offered.

Best shawarma in Durham Region. And ive tried them all. The quality is very consistent. Hes added crunchy cabbage which i would have never thought to be good. Its amazingly delicious. The owner and his wife are very friendly. Ive had shawarma from toronto and ottawa and this is as good or better than most.

Chicken Shwarma Sandwich is awful!!. Tried their shwarma sandwich after seeing positive reviews about the place.

I'm sorry, but it was the worst I've had! The chicken was dried up and tasteless, the pita was soggy, and some of the veggies packed into it were NOT bite-sized...made for upleasant eating. Trust me, you're better off going to Villa Madina in the Food Court of Pickering Mall.

I grew up in the Middle East, and shwarma stands were as ubiquitous as hot dog stands...so I know my shwarmas!

This place charges almost $8.00 (with tax) for a product that's sub-par. While the sandwich is big, it's filled with tasteless veggies and dried up chicken...totally not worth it.
