Review Vegan Jerk - Pickering

Food was delicious. Staff were friendly. Definitely a go-to if ever you're in the area. By far one of the top places for vegan options on my list!

As a long time vegan, I hate to review places that are vegan in a negative way, however, as a foodie, I always check reviews to see how food is at a restaurant before visiting. I think it’s only fair that we let people know how we find the food tastes whether it’s vegan or not. Pros: staff is amazing and friendly! Cons: These reviews are misleading and not fair. I got the food this past weekend and it’s still fully sitting in my fridge. It’s really bad :( There is no flavour, the jackfruit is drenched in some sauce that taste like bbq sauce. The rice was dry and not good. The soy chunks had no flavour except a strange sauce which tasted again like another bbq sauce. I’m very sad about the food because I saw it hyped up too much and I was really wanting to like it! Just not good food at all. Nothing about it was good. I also had corn soup also not good :( it was watery and not seasoned properly. My boyfriend also didn’t eat it and he loves corn soup! I’m sorry about this review but I have to be fair. I review non vegan places all the time, I can’t give a vegan place a break just Cus it’s vegan.

First time here! The food was fantastic! Got the sample plate which is a little bit of everything. The parties are for preorder so keep that in mind. Such a nice worker behind the booth! Thanks for a delicious meal and kind service🙂
