Review Lone Star Texas Grill - Pickering

We had amazing service from the time we got into the restaurant. We sat in the bar/lounge as there were a few large groups in the dining hall. Our bartender/server was amazing, the service we received from Cobra was outstanding. I truly enjoy going out and seeing people who have so much pride and joy in the work they do. It brings that much more to the experience when dining out. His drinks were mixed to the "t"... Meaning they were perfect. We would be back to this location.

Food was amazing. Little bit salty on The fresh chips and the fresh house made salsa was spot on. Staff was on point with being knowledgeable and able to handle the service needs.

I've never had a bad experience at Lone Star. Having been coming here for over 15 years, I'm pleased to see that the quality is as consistent no matter the location nor how much time passes between visits. Had the classic steak Fajitas with shrimp on the side. Steak was cooked oh so perfect was red and juicy when it arrived at the table sizzling and stayed juicy through the last bits of cooking on the hot plate. Shrimp were equally as good, felt great value for $$ spent. Thanks lone star for keeping it consistent. That fuzzy peach margarita.... they sure don't skimp on the tequila! Very pleased.

Came her for the first time . Great atmosphere to hang out They have a great deal after 9pm for appetizer for 1/2 price and drinks are cheap , beer for minimum $3 to 10 ..and Friday red wine soefial for $5 . Deals everyday.. Our server was very atttenive and kind .  Only thing we did not like is our steak bites ..it was kinda fry and chewy . Nachos and chicken wings is great. Will be back ..

Slow Monday but staff not present. Ordered food and got first and only unlimited nachos, never asked if we wanted more. Food arrived and our soft drinks were empty, not offered refill as they left soo fast. Had to wave them down to get refills, again not offered nachos, and had to go find them to pay bill. Main course was cold - Chicken Chimichangas, and onion rings were over fried and uneatable. I gave it two stars because at least it was nice inside.

I can’t say I am surprised cause of the name, I should have known better. First off as soon as you walk in the staff forget they are being paid to be there, they seem like they have a attitude. They take offence to you asking any questions, they don’t even believe in their own product. The food was a catastrophe in the making. My burger was hard and tasted like it was sitting it the freezer for months before they brought it out. The fries also taste off for some reason. This establishment is one that I will never be returning to.

**3.5 STAR RATING** I’ve been in Pickering since I was 9 and I’m 26 now and this was the first time I’ve ever stepped foot here! Atmosphere was great, hostess and waitress were nice. But the food… don’t think it was worth the price. We got the “limited time” nachos which was probably the best thing we ate. My boyfriend got the chicken fingers with curly fries and the fries were the saving grace of that dish. Chicken was slightly over cooked and the seasoning was bland. I got the enchiladas and it was filling for sure… but that’s because the tortillas are super thick and they only put three slices of chicken in it. I was basically eating a fat tortilla wrap with melted cheese, tomatoes, and sour cream on top lol. Also, the rice and beans that came with it were dry. I genuinely believe the rice came out of a microwave as it was DRY, and the beans were also over cooked. Overall, my experience here didn’t meet my expectations. I’d go back… but probably not for a while.

The pomegranate margarita is a must try! It's absolutely delicious!!! And so was the BBQ chicken fingers. Really had a great evening.

I had supper tonight at Lone Star Texas Grill.<br/><br/>"Rangler" was my server and she started me off with some warm tortilla chips and salsa. Yum!<br/><br/>I ordered Southern-Fried Chicken Fingers with medium sauce. They were good. They were tender and the sauce had a nice bite. Because of the free tortilla chips, I didn't need to order fries.<br/><br/>Rangler was great. I had had a busy day talking retirement with people from 9:30am to 7:30pm. She was very friendly and silly ... just want I needed after a hard tiring day. Thanks, Rangler!

Standard issue Lone Star restaurant. <br/>friendly staff, clean restaurant, good food, although the portions of the meat for their "fajitas" seems to be slowly getting smaller. <br/><br/>Now they want an extra $6 for steak(fajitas for 2)? NO way, the portion is already small. For take out at least...

Good times. Lone Star... because sometimes it is to gorge on Fajitas. I regret nothing.

Worst service ever. Went to Lonestar a couple of weeks ago on a Wednesday, for the wing special. Restaurant was fairly busy but we were seated right away. We waited for twenty mins and were not even offered a water. Just walked out and will not return. It's a wonder how places like this stay in business.

Food is mediocre at best. The constant upsell on everything would be almost comical if it weren't so annoying. Would you like the texas size? can i add some bacon? would you like the full rack its only x more? how bout some jalapenos with that? Meh.

Had to send half the food back because it was cold....Very underwhelming.

One of my faves. We went with 4 adults and 1 child and sat in the bar area on a Thursday night. Food is always good! We had a Fajita Feast which came with chicken, ribs and steak which was really good. There was so much food we couldn't finish and had some leftovers. Service and ambiance were good. Will definitely return!

Lonestarricious. I stumbled upon this hidden gem a fortnights back. <br/><br/>Following countless rendezvous with many Pickeringeons and hearing their tales of lavish feasts at the foot of a table adorned in cowboy hats, boots and imitation bull horns- I had to spoil myself with a trip to the wondrous ranch style bistro I had heard and fantasized so much about.<br/><br/>Wings and tortillas were as expected - I would say better than the other lone stars I have visited.

Lovely new reno (still in progress outside). The bar is now cozy. On a recent visit, the salsa had good flavour (less stewed tomatoes taste), the gratis tortilla chips were warm and tasty. The large margarita hasn't got much alcohol in it, but the flavour is consistent with other locations. Tip: if you order the steak fajitas, order them one level less-cooked than you normally prefer it. The steak still cooks while it's at your table and you end up with perfectly-cooked steak.

Salsa runny, poor service, tough steal fajita. NOT what I remembered.

The salsa at this location is terrible compared to their other locations, tasted like canned stewed tomatoes.

Very poor service. The food is not even that good.
