Review Hakka Fusion - Pickering

First thing I noticed with this place is how calm and polite they were on the phone when taking my order. Pretty busy every time I went to pick up an order but they still manage to provide amazing service. Food’s pretty decent and the price isn’t bad either. Only thing I don’t like is the texture of the gravy so I just get the meat dishes dry if I have the option.

Absolutely delicious, large portions, very flavourful - you can taste the heat of the wok. Great customer service on the phone and in person. All this for $46 after taxes. We will be back. Spicy Chicken Shanghai noodles with Manchurian sauce (comes with shrimp but we asked for no shrimp) - noodles were cooked to perfection. Sauce was simply amazing. Best Manchurian we have had. Hard to stop eating it even after being full. Beef ho fun (thinner noodle) - I'll admit, it is not the flat rice noodle I am used to but this noodle they have actually works better for takeout. Chewy and bouncy and does not get soggy - a pleasant surprise. The beef was quality cuts! Manchurian chicken fried rice. So nice and spicy but just the right amount. It was lovely. Chicken was a nice quality too I appreciated that it was a leaner and the dish wasn't too oily. Hot and sour soup - actually authentic. The right amount of thickness and the right taste! I appreciated all of the ingredients. I do wish it had wood ear but that is simply my preference. Vegetable spring rolls (came with 6) - crunchy with perfect amount of filling. Batter was just the right amount of thickness. Highly recommend. Looks better than my pics I just had bad lighting lol.

Halal chinese food with great taste and price. Tried chicken hakka Noddles and Chilli chicken which exceeded expectations. Dining is not allowed as of May 2022.

I ordered from here for the first time and I can say that I've finally found a great Hakka restaurant close to home! I ordered the Chili Chicken (wet), Beef and Broccoli, Bombay Chicken, and Malay Fried Rice. The chili chicken was good, needed some more flavor, but much better than many places I've been before. I'm sure when it's dry it'll be extra tasty! The Bombay chicken was also very tasty, with hints of masala. Beef and broccoli is your standard, tasty as well, lots of gravy for white rice. The Malay rice was also tasty. I don't usually buy rice dishes but I wanted to try something new and wasn't disappointed. Great quality food, large quantity, and decent prices. Not much more to ask for!

We ordered pick up and the food was mostly bland. We have been to many Hakka restaurants and the food is always flavourful with lots of spices. We ordered chili chicken and it wasn’t bad probably the only tasty item. The chicken wings and fried shrimp were plain with absolutely no seasoning. The description on the items does not match the food that was given to us. I do not recommend.

Generous portions, excellent taste and polite customer service. All recipes of a satisfied customer. This place is a must try for all hakka Chinese food lovers.

Hakka Fusion never disappoints. I have been going for a number of years and the food is consistently good. The latest order was Shrimps and Lobster Sauce, Spicy Pepper chicken and egg fried rice. Everything was excellent. To top it off the owners are extremely nice and appreciative of their customers.

This place has the best chili chicken with or without gravy. I've tried both! When the hunger kicks in, the cravings are fulfilled! Also, there fish in black bean sauce is amazing. So delicious! However, I placed an order for pick up during the week, and once I got home to eat my meal. I noticed that the flour was coming off the chili chicken. It felt as if I was taking a bite out of soggy chili chicken. As if the chicken didn't have enough time to crisp up before they added the gravy. I'm not a chef, but I know good chili chicken. It didn't taste right, so maybe it's my fault for ordering 30 minutes before their closing time of 9:30 PM. A bit disappointed because my meal costed me a little less than $20 without a drink. Considering, I could have gone to any burger joint and gotten a combo with a drink. The choices we make at times may or may not fulfil your cravings. Well, I know the Asian guy and his mom that work there. They're hard-working people and so I'm still going to support their business.

Don't ever step into this place. Wanted to write about a recent incident which happened with my family on 22-Jan-2015. Went there around 9:00 PM to have dinner with family. The restaurant was all empty except one couple. First impression empty and not a warm welcome should have guessed something wrong. Anyhow wanted to give benefit of the doubt. Got the menu and ordered a few items. Cannot comment on the food as we never got to eat, was there for less than 10 minutes and walked out; but the customer service and the attitude was the WORST and non-existent

My 2 year toddler son was excited seeing the fish in the fish tank and expressing his joy just by clapping and laughing out of excitement remaining in his seat all the time (normal behavior from a toddler), when the waiter walked to me and asked me to tone down my 2 year toddler. I asked if there was a problem and how I could stop the toddlers excitement. He was not running around or breaking things just enjoying himself watching the fish from his seat. I asked the waiter what the issue was , he said the customers will complain the toddler being loud !!!! I was shocked, first of all there was only one customer and they seemed least bothered. The one who seemed most bothered was the waiter and his other waiter. I even asked the couple if they had any issue with the toddler enjoying.

I clearly was shocked and didn't expect these words to tone down my little one; for a toddler enjoying himself. Anyhow I asked the waiter that he should put a board indicating "NO KIDS". I guess they need basics coaching of customer service and how to treat customers especially kids. When I complained that I was not happy with the attitude he seemed least bothered and the other waiter seemed least bothered too. I told them I want to leave and will write a review and they seemed least bothered and told me to teach manners to my 2 year old toddler and even asked me leave the restaurant. Manners as he was excited seeing the fish in the fish tank and expressing his joy !!!! This was unbelievable. He was showing me the way out.

Anyhow a strong warning to anyone especially families with kids to think twice before entering this establishment Kimling Hakka Fusion. Save yourself a trip and your respect. Also for others customer service here is something that is not heard of. You have been warned.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.... Heard about Hakka Fusion from a friend. Since the location is close to where I live, went to check it out with the family last friday and I was blown away. The food was absolutely mouth watering. The menu had a huge selection of choices. My friend told me to definitely try out the Chilli Chicken and Manchurian Hakka Noodles (she swears by them). Asked the young and friendly server what seafood dishes he could recommend since my husband loves seafood. He suggested the Spicy Pepper Fish and Hot Garlic Shrimp - they were grreat! My 6 year son totally loved their Fried Pepper Chicken. The ambiance was nice, food was awesome and the service was good. Will definitely be back to try out more dishes on the menu.

Could be better!. So I went in last week with my family. The ambiance is really nice: big, spacious, and lots of seating. It is quiet and peaceful, perfect for a family get together. However, there one was little problem; the server is incompetent with the menu. It was our first time trying Hakka food and we asked for recommendations but the gentleman was unable to provide the information we were looking for, but luckily there was indication on the menu that made it much easier to select our dishes. We tried pepper chicken for our appetizer, as well as the hot and sour soup. They were both excellent in flavour, tasted really fresh and came out quickly. For our entree we went with the chilli chicken and manchurian fried rice - it was spicy, but we were able to handle it. The portions were more than we could ask for as we had to take it home in the end. I would recommend this place, except the server was horrible at his job. Though we will consider coming back, but not too soon.

Not worth it....i would rather drive 20 minuted to a decent hakka place....... ginger beef was burnt and chili chicken was blah.....

We stopped in here knowing nothing about it. The Tom Yum Soup was delicious - just the right amount of burn. The vegetable pakoras were hot and crispy and wonderful and the pad thai with chicken was very good. Our meal was very "comfort food" and just what we wanted. The servings were generous, service was quick and every dish was piping hot. It's not gourmet but good value.

Don't Go Here!. I've dined at several places that serve "Hakka Fusion". This place doesn't even come close.

Ordered the green curry chicken....sauce was a yellow, almost transparent goo, and had no flavour at all. There was nothing "green curry" about it. The chicken was rubbery and cold, and it was mostly onion and green pepper pieces.

The pakoras were ok, but were very very greasy. Taste like they had been cooked earlier (maybe even days earlier), and then tossed back into hot oil to re-heat.

We also asked for no coriander, due to an allergy, and 2 of our dishes had coriander sprinkled on top!

The place is extremely disappointing, and an insult to others who serve Hakka Fusion.

Stay away from Hakka Fusion!. The food was disgusting! I've been to this place several times and I originally gave it a good review. However, the quality of their dishes and the customer service has gone down drastically. The servers don't seem to care about anything. The food tasted like leftovers, and was just a horrible mess. I would NEVER return to this place. When the bill came, I felt like I was being robbed - I paid for something that no one at my table enjoyed.

Thumbs Down!!!. Pros
Convenient location and spacious seating area.

Cons
Food had shrimps despite asking for no shrimps due to food allergies. Wait staff was bored and acted like they did not want to be there.
