Review The Fox Goes Free - Pickering

Had dinner with a friend of mine on Friday March 11, 2022 and loved my experience. Have lived in Pickering for a thousand years and it was only my second time dining at this Pub. I was so impressed! Wine list was fabulous and very reasonably priced. Food was terrific, I had the mussels and they were out of this world. Our server, Allison was outstanding. Place was busy, very welcoming. My weekly default is Jack Astor's; however, no longer. I was dubious about ordering mussels in a pub but Allison told me they were purchased fresh daily and even told me where. Give The Fox Goes Free a visit, they will not disappoint.

Great pub ambiance. Super friendly staff. Food was top notch for pub fare. Loved that they were using what local ingredients and beers they could find. Would go back for sure if I was passing through again.

We try to support local businesses in Pickering so have been to most of the pubs in our town. This is our favourite. The staff treat my kids well, and the food is good!

Friendly staff accommodated a large retirement party for us. First time there, but will definitely be back for a meal with a smaller group of people.

We go here every week. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The food is excellent, and reasonably priced. They also have daily specials, and a nice ( heated) patio. This is definitely our “go to” place to get together with friends.

Delicious food. Great selection of draft beer. Staff are fantastic!

It's like magwyers, but with a few different beers to choose from on tap, including a few local breweries. Nice outdoor seating in the warmer weather, excellent wings and burgers, and a good number of TV's to catch the game on, and plenty more parking out back

Looking for something open till 2 with beer n basket of chips yes it is a place. Spinach chicken pesto penne pasta is so flavourful ❤️<br/>If you are pub person should give it try
