My husband and I went here for our first date night since having our first baby and moving to Peterborough. We drove by thinking what a gorgeous building, so happy we went in! We had the best pizza and hamburger we have ever eaten! The service was fantastic and beer was amazing � Highly recommend to anyone who loves good food and beer!
Had an impromptu dinner out last night at The Publican House and we were not disappointed! We had fantastic service by Katie, she was knowledgable and funny. We had the lamb special (so delicious), and the buttermilk fried chicken (also amazing). We also shared a dessert that was just perfect to end our meal. The men in our group had the beer flights that were delicious and I had the on tap cider which was refreshing. Service was quick and the atmosphere was great. We had a fantastic table in the balcony (?) with view which was really nice and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone, we will be back for sure!
Had some great food and awesome craft beer on the patio this evening. The renovations to the old Peterborough arms felt warm and inviting and the restaurant operations are run by a chef who really cares about the food. Definitely will be returning
Hosted a birthday party for 35 people at the Publican on Sunday and it was amazing. Kate & Brad and their staff were very accomodating working through the timing & the menu. The food was fantastic, the drinks amazing and our server Jess was great. Thanks to the Publican House for a great day.
Great meat pizza! Awesome selection, especially drinks. Can’t wait to go back to try some more food. Fast, friendly service. Can’t wait for patio season and a pint of High Noon!
Went to The Publican last night for dinner. EXCELLENT service and food!! The place was packed with holiday parties but our server was attentive and cheerful the entire time! I ordered the Hummus, Baba Ganouj and Dahl with pita bread, along side with a salad of beets and micro greens!! Can't wait to go back and try their wood fired pizza!

My wife had lunch there yesterday and the portion sizes were so generous she turned down dinner and breakfast in bed.

Really tasty beer and the young lady that did the tasting for us was very knowledgeable! Enjoying our growler as I write this review. You know the beer is good when there is a steady stream of people popping in and grabbing a few cans or refilling their growlers. So glad we popped in while visiting Peterborough. Hopefully next time we will be able to enjoy your restaurant. Good luck with the opening!
Fantastic beer, and their Eight or Better is the best North American Belgian style ale I've ever had
We enjoyed our first time visit, I ordered fish & chips and was not disappointed . The menu is not extensive but all dishes are locally sourced and have a signature appeal. I am quite sure to return and try the pizza as it looks awesome.
The service was great and informative on all beers in the fridge, history of the names on the beer (which was amusing in some cases) and a great experience. Beer tastes great as well!!

We drove up to Peterborough on a recent Sunday evening to enjoy this great brew pub. What delicious food and tasty beer and friendly service! And reasonable prices.
We both had the weekend special: a lamb and chickpea vindaloo in a medium spicy Indian curry sauce. Awesomely delicious!
This pub has a large selection of very good ales; enough to please every palate. My favourite is a New England IPA, so of course I had their KLB ale. And yes, after dinner I bought some from their store next door to take home and enjoy.
It was indeed worth the drive!
All the food and drinks were excellent! Have to especially reco the maple bourbon sour and the smoked eat sandwich. Service was a bit slow and we did have to wait about 30 before we got the bill after plates were cleared, but loved it and will go back.

Had a lovely impromptu dinner at Publican House yesterday. The pub was recommended to us by local area shop owners. It was -50000C and we came in chilled to the bone but happy to see there was a daily soup special - a vegan coconut curry with sweet potato soup. My partner and I each ordered the soup and split the Nashville Hot Backdoor - spicy fried chicken sandwich. Staff were super friendly and split the sandwich and fries for us onto two plates in the kitchen, which was unexpected and very kind of them.
The coconut sweet potato soup was perfect and delicious and really hit the spot on such a cold evening. It was well seasoned and not overly sweet - well balanced. The fried chicken sandwich was fantastic. The batter was so light and airy. The fries were similarly crispy and relatively light. We also tried their 'Our Pet Pilsner' and part of the proceeds go toward the Peterborough Humane Society's building fund. A tasty, not overwhelming pilsner - went great with our meal. Overall a lovely dinner at a local spot. We were happy to support a local business.
Charming brewery with an eclectic range of beers on tap. Our extremely friendly server set us up with two flights - one for the IPA fans and one for the crowd pleasers. Most of the beers were good, but the stand out was the Eight or Better - rich and strong, but full of flavor. The food was delectable as well - the hand-cut fries were perfect, as was their fried cauliflower. The turkey wings were mild but when tossed in a sriracha buffalo sauce, provided a nice kick. The mac & cheese was alright - serving it with a cheetos crumble was an interesting choice. Dog friendly patio seating and great service.
So glad we went here! Beer was delicious-flavours match their descriptions very well! Enjoyed the beer so much we went to the brewery store next door to buy some. Staff was excellent! I felt welcome from from when I opened the door to when I left! Had a red coconut Thai curry with homemade flatbread and a flight of beer. You won’t be disappointed!
Stopped here on the way up to a cottage and was so happy with the experience we had. There is a parking lot across the street so you don’t have to worry about street parking. The food was so amazing (we had the bbq pizza and the smoked meat sandwich). The beer we got was delicious and the staff were so friendly. I have recommended this place to so many people already. Keep up the fantastic work!

The atmosphere is fantastic an upscale Brewery pub yet down-to-earth so you don't need to be overdressed. We enjoyed flight of 4 in-house draft beers that were excellent. Loved the Hazelnut Coffee Stout. The Cheese dip was a new experience with pickles and hot peppers. Buffalo chicken pizza was addictive. Both dishes complimented the draft perfectly. The server was very friendly and knowledgeable about the beer. All in all this is going to be our new date night pub.
