Review The Pizza Factory - Peterborough

Christie Shepherd
Our server was super slow. Our food did come quick once we got a chance to order. She also forgot refills and bread for our table. Coffee came after our desserts were done. We also waited a very long time to pay as well. Menu has changed since dine in started again. Miss the old pasta offerings.. as did other people around us. Chefs choice, manicotti, ravioli etc. This visits food was excellent though!! Keeping it at 5 star as we have always loved our times here over the years.

We had a great experience here and Sarah was a phenomenal server. We went with my brother who has autism and is non verbal. He rarely gets to sit down at a restaurant and hadn’t done so in years. They were able to find us a seat in a quieter part of the restaurant and she was so friendly and accommodating. She made an effort to engage with him and she was totally understanding of his needs in a way that others may not be used to. Would definitely come back!

Tried this place during a recent trip to Peterborough. There's a reason they're rated best Pizza in Peterborough! Great food, good service, good prices and value for the money! What more can you ask for! Had the Hawaiian Pizza, lasagna and garlic bread.

When you ask google “what’s the best pizza in ____? “ you typically have high expectations. Pizza arrived quickly I was happy with that. For a medium pizza tho I was not expecting that price. I had a medium pepperoni and bacon. Pepperoni is indeed pepperoni and the bacon is just kinda there not very apparent . The sauce is good and the cheese … I like cheese but there sooooooo much of it. I must say in my opinion it was cooked to perfection , crispy but not tough , cheese was browning and stringy. The crust itself is a little bland, but I will say their garlic dip is quite good, Seems to be made in house. Lady on phone was helpful and polite. Delivery lady was very friendly and came directly to my hotel door. Pizza 6.5/10 Overall service 9/10

It may have been my fault, but I had higher expectations. Order was ready on time, which I appreciated. The lasagna was likely frozen and then reheated, which would've been fine if the noodles were tasty - they were tough and thick and not a single speck of ricotta, just a bunch of hard, tough, thick mozzarella on top. Garlic dip and garlic bread was good. Really wish they made their pizza crust more authentic, but it's edible. Lastly, the garlic on a pizza - it shouldn't be a half of a clove big and raw - it should be minced and lightly fried, put into oil, and then used as a topping on pizza. And the mozzarella...there's so much of it, you become overwhelmed and you can't taste the rest of the toppings, not because you can taste the good quality mozzarella, but because your mouth is fighting with the elasticity and trying to just get through it. Maybe the spaghetti is fresh? Idk but I won't try my luck with the pizza and lasagna again.

The Pizza Factory is probably our family's favourite restaurant in Peterborough. All of the food is amazing - especially the salads! The owner Peter is an incredible person, our family can't thank him enough for his generosity during a hard time. Peter hand makes the dressing for the caesar salad with fresh garlic. Absolutely delicious! Also extremely affordable food with large portions. Definitely recommend for families.

Seriously the best pizza my husband and I have had in a long time!! The garlic cheese bread was just as good and the fries as well!! It was super busy, but for pickup only took 35 mins!!

We had lunch there today and even though we were disappointed that the buffett was gone, we had a fantastic lunch. The caesar salad was the best ever and the pizza was awesome too. The waitress was very friendly and the service was great. I I highly recomend eating there and will be back again soon!!

Wonderful cozy place to be at. Had lunch and enjoyed our pizza, ribs, fries, and salad. Love that it's all made with extra love, time and care from the heart. Everyone is super friendly and smiley-miley. It was a pleasure meeting Peter the owner/chef/creator; thank u for all that u do. Also couldn't decide what dessert to have so I got both: baklava and the chocolate orange cheesecake mmm..... Thank u for the reccommendations it was lovely.

We were in Peterborough for a hockey tournament and made a reservation for 40 people. The staff and service was excellent and they had The best panzaroti I have ever had. Highly recommend The Pizza Factory if you are in town.

I love this restaurant and have eaten there many times. Tonight however we decided to order take out. We ordered 2 pizzas. 1 large meat lovers with mushrooms and pineapple. And a medium vegetarian. I was surprised that they didn’t offer delivery ( thank god cause I would have been more upset) My wife picked it up and got a couple slices of their award winning Raspberry cheese cake. The bill came to $90.00. SERIOUSLY ? For that price it should have been delivered with a six pack of beer and a back rub. I would be ok with $50.00 before the cheese cake maybe $75.00 with the cheese cake. I could have eaten in the restaurant and let them do the dishes for much less. Anyone that knows the pizza business knows full well that the price to make a pizza is cheap. These prices are insane!!!!

One of my favourite spits from college days.... Loved lasagna pizza....mmmm Absolutely love that they still make it for us inspite of it being no longer on the menu. Evertime im in Peterborough i must have! Sometimes we even drive over...just for the pizza. Ceasar salad is also amazing... Garlic bread too. Staff friendly. Who could ask for more?

Amazing! Best pizza I’ve ever had. Everyone needs to come to this place, you will not be disappointed. Service was great as well!

Needs a serious interior makeover. Lose the tacky fish tank and gas pumps. Get nicer tables and booths. Get more walls, as the place is super noisy. Food is fine, nothing special. Rough crowd. Lots of camo and work boots. Weird entrance. Had to be told four times that they'll be right with us. Probably won't go back.

What can I say. Love it!!! I live in Calgary now, but whenever I get back to Peterborough, I always stop in. Best Pizza anywhere, nothing in Calgary comes close! Peter is an Awesome guy, I've known him for years and he always remembers me when I come in... Highly recommend trying it!!!

I have been going to the Pizza Factory since the 80's and I would definitely recommend it to anyone. Their Cesar salad is to die for. With a restaurant in business as long as they have been, their obviously doing something right. I don't even live in the area, but I am willing to travel there just to eat there.

We were beyond pleased with our food and the service! We’re here for a hockey tournament and when we asked locals where to eat, they said try Pizza Factory Peter and staff, you hit it out of the park 100% pleased! Thank you so much

What a great place!!! Loved the old gas pumps and Coke machin. The food was out of this world. The staff is amazing. Also the washrooms and dinning area in nice and clean. I live about 2 hrs from here and I would drive back just to eat here.

We have gone to the Pizza Factory for years and enjoy the Cesar salad and the panzouratti . Today was a real disappointment the Cesar salad was full price with the pizza menu meal ($5.99). No deal of $3.69 like with other meals. The salad wasn't near as garlicky today either.

The pazouratti ($16.99) was good but didn't seam to have as much pepperoni in it and less mozzarella cheese. Any other times I would give a 5 rating but today was a real disappointment . Too much of price increase and less for your price. Sorry Peter.

my husband an I went here for the 1st time not knowing what to expect couldn't believe the amount of food we got.My husband had the 2 piece fish and chips and I had baked Lasagna with garlic bread.plus I ordered a toss salad with thousand island dressing. The orders were so large that we both took food home with us.Would of like to try their homemade cheese cake but had no room. The staff was very pleasant an on the ball with all our food and it was served at a reasonable amount of time.Would very much recommend it to any go and enjoy goin to try their pizza next time as they looked very good when passing us.

Best pizza in Peterborough, we usually get it to go. Have come here a couple of time this year to enjoy pasta, each time I have the gotten the penne rose. It is so delicious, huge portion that I usually end up taking home. The restaurant has not changed in the last 15 years which is good and bad. The decor could use some updating but at least you know the service and quality is consistent.

Awesome pizza, and salads. Service is always wonderful. You can really tell that the owner wants to keep his customers happy! Highly recommend the caesar salad if you like garlic and the greek is also delicious for those non-garlic lovers. Beautiful patio in the summer, with local beers served on tap. Undergone major renovation in May and the place looks great, with new comfy seating and updated decor. Make a reservation if you plan on going on the weekend because this place is popular!!

This place has the best ceasar salad in town if you like garlic like we do. Very friendly staff. Great looking buffet. Food tasted great. Service was very good as well. No complaints here!

Just get a frozen pizza from a grocery store and some canned ravioli for a similar experience. And whatever you do don't get the chicken sizzler because it's obviously been frozen for years and has an awful texture and taste.

Average. Quick service. Drinks refilled often with a very friendly waitress.
Started with Caesar and potato skins. Salad did not have parmesan or bacon which was disappointing but loaded with garlic that it was the only favour.
The potatoes skins were loaded with mozzarella, artificial crumbled bacon, mild feta and diced tomatoes. It was pretty bland with a strange sweetness. Served with sour cream that did nothing for it. A Mariana would of done wonders for it.
The pizza was super doughy but a decent flavoured crust. It barley had any toppings( pepperoni, ham, mushrooms, pineapple and bacon). There was maybe three mushrooms on the whole pizza. The sauce was a plain tomato sauce. Nothing special and not worth the price.

Everything frozen. I have eaten here before but today was disgusting. Everything was from from frozen, there was ZERO meat in the "meat sauce", and the garlic bread was freezer burnt. My son's pizza was mushy from the microwave and tasted like dog food. McDonald's across the road had better quality!

Guess Peter doesn't want repeat satisfied customers. Have eaten here many times. Not my favourite but like to contribute to community and it's not bad They have good panzerottis which are hard to find made from scratch.

Ordered a Pizza Factory special pizza and two panzerottis (sauce on side as it gets so mushy).

Picked it up and noticed the one item that should have been in a pizza box was in a container. Looked at it before heading home and saw it was spaghetti not pizza I asked them and she had to get someone else to correct. Waited about 10 minutes -- she said the order was written down wrong. Gave me back money for the cost of the pizza/spaghetti. I accepted this as I didn't want to wait for pizza (they did offer to make a pizza).

Upon getting home, we realized they had put the sauce on the panzerotti -- which basically means you have to eat it all at once as it gets so soggy. I called and spoke with the lady who answered. She wasn't much help so I did ask if Peter (the owner) was there. She put Peter on the phone and he offered to give us $7.00 back. The panzerottis cost $12.00 each. I don't get that at all but he really didn't care and this was the best he could do.

Needless to say, I (and many others that I work with and frequent there) will never, ever be back again. Obviously, I did not take his $7.00 offer! The total bill was $46.00!

VERY DISAPPOINTED IN LOCAL CUSTOMER SERVICE!

First visit. Our daughter is attending school in Peterborough in the fall and we had to make a trip there this weekend.
We arrived at dinnertime on Sunday and really didn't have any interest in the chain places near our hotel so we gave this place a try and we were happy we did.
I had the chicken souvlaki, my daughter created her own pizza and my husband had the chicken sandwich. Everything was very good and arrived at our table piping hot,
We will definitely return the nest time we're in town!

Amazing Buffet. The lunch buffet is amazing! We plan any visit to Peterborough around having lunch at the Pizza Factory. A ton of dishes to choose from and everything is homemade. Even better, we are told that any leftover food is donated to a local food kitchen. A big thumbs up for the owner and staff!!

First time ever disappointed!. We have been patrons of this restaurant for years and were always delighted with the staff and food. However we decided to eat early today, October 18 at four o'clock, and were greeted by a very snippy waitress who did not like that we asked to be moved from the booth she had selected. There were exactly two other diners in the restaurant so moving us should not have been a problem. The food, when it arrived was barely adequate, the coffee had been around for a while and the garlic bread was pale and worn out. Never have we had this kind of meal at this restaurant before and, had the owner been present, we would have made our concerns in person. This is not the kind of service or food we have become accustomed to at the Pizza Factory and it will be a long while before we drive forty kms again.

Best Pizza. If you love garlic than their caesar salad is perfect! I get it everytime it is so good! And the Al Greco pizza is probably my favourite pizza in town - i only get a small and i always have left overs

Decent food, out of a few items on a su day evening, the garlic bread was on cut hotdog buns...? Could have stayed home to have that I guess

Beautiful place. Very tasty meals, great atmosphere and a decent price! The all you can eat buffet is quality stuff, and your stomach doesn't regret it (like it does with other pizza places). Check it out, it's worth it.

The Pizza Factory is located in the quaint, picturesque town of Peterborough, Ontario. This establishment has been around since the 80s, the owner is a Greek immigrant. Albeit, a pizza/pasta joint such as this is probably going to be the least likely of places to offer GF options but there were some. Below is a sort of point-form version of my review, a format I will likely utilize in the future. I hope you enjoy reading! Establishment: The Pizza Factory Date/Time of Visit: Wednesday January 9, 2013, 8:00 pm (EST) Gluten-free Options: Yes Examples of GF Options; Starter - loaded potatoe skins, escargot Main - Chicken, Ribs, Souvlaki, Greek Fisherman's Delight, Pasta Desert - none My Meal Starter/Side I had the side caesar even though the server informed me that there were breadcrumbs in the dressing. It didn't quite compute, I think she meant to say there were croutons. I don't think caesar salad dressing is traditionally made with bread crumbs but correct me if I am wrong. I ordered i
