I had one of the best burgers I have ever eaten in my life at the Hungry 7 yesterday. Not sure what the special sauce is but is DELICIOUS! Fries were perfect and the service was super friendly. Now I'm looking for an excuse to head that direction again. The menu had many choices that sounded yummy and if the rest is half as good as the burger it would be well worth the trip.
We went for supper, and had the sandwich on special with prosciutto, mozzarella, pesto mayo. It was delicious. The Hungry 7 has a great atmosphere, excellent service and quickly became our favorite local spot. Would highly recommend any of the menu options. Thank you!!
An absolutely fantastic place to eat. Dave’s creative genius in the kitchen shines through on every dish he serves. A definite must restaurant to try - time and time again !
On our way from Ottawa to Newmarket & stopped in Perth for gas at Canadian Tire & a bite for lunch. My wife said looks busy at the Hungry 7 diner, lets try it. Not a fan of the big chains, I agreed. What a pleasant surprise! Wine & beer on the menu, great variety of entrés & homemade pies for dessert.
Best peameal sandwich I've ever had along with a slice of pear pie.
Served along with a great selection of 50's, 60's & 70's music.

Dave's chicken pot pie is going to get me (and my friends) through the winter. SO delicious, and healthful, along with its big salad! Comfort food cravings satisfied!

Great food and friendly service. The chef is eager to accommodate dietary restrictions if you call ahead or come in at a quiet time. He is sympathetic to the plight of vegetarians and has produces several great veggie meals. My first time there I was treated to a trio of vegetarian stuffed tomatoes - fantastic meal! The tomatoes were surprisingly filling, so I could not try the desserts.
The restaurant is a simple diner-style spot. It is very clean and lots of windows for natural light. The customer service is friendly and relaxed. I'll be a frequent customer.
Amazing food, atmosphere, staff/owner. Ended up at the Hungry 7 by chance after another restaurant in the Perth area wouldn't host our larger group. So glad for the change of plans because this has instantly become a favourite. The food was amazing. I had chicken pot pie with a salad. Loved it. Big portions but not too heavy so I was able to clean my plate without feeling overstuffed. And the dessert menu looked too good to pass up. Had mango chocolate tart for dessert. Incredible. Best dessert I have had for a long time. Will definitely be back. Wish I had a photo to share but had cleaned my plate before I even had the thought.
