Review Vallarta Grill - Penticton

Super fast service. Food is fresh. Prices are good. I had the chicken chimichanga and hubby had the combo with a chicken enchilada and chile relleno. Oh and can't forget the bucket of beer!

So so so yummy!! Love going here when I’m in town. The servers are always friendly and we get seated right away. The service throughout the visit is prompt and our server was very nice and funny. The food and drinks are very good. One of our favourite places to eat in Penticton

The food was quite good, but the service was very slow. Servers seemed confused and overwhelmed, and our waitress was incredibly rude. Rolled her eyes, sighed loudly, often took off her mask. They do not provide water, you need to buy bottled water (as though we were in Europe!) My biggest problem was my 2 nieces were going to share a cheese quesadilla, they're kids and small eaters. The server never told us this was an issue until she showed up with 2 full quesadilla orders. When I said the kids were sharing, she replied "not allowed due to Covid". We are ONE family, plus all tables were getting appies and sharing! Shameless money grab by this place to eak out an extra $14. We should have been told this when ordering, don't just show up with two full orders. They even charged us for drinks we did not order, but we had been waiting so long for the bill we just wanted out. As I said food was good, but the poor service and misleading business practices do not make a return visit worth it. Love supporting small businesses, but will not be back and I definitely do not recommend.

Good location and nice staff but unfortunately the food is was not great.

Greeted very nicely by the owner. The place is not very clean. We almost left. Service was sub-par. No tacos, which is bizarre for a Mexican restaurant. Drinks were just ok. I had a bulldog. I have had much better before. Pico de Gallo and guacamole were very yummy. We didn’t have mains, as we were just not happy with the lack of cleanliness or service, so left to eat elsewhere.

I had wanted to go there for a long time but once I did I was disappointed. When we went there awhile ago we found that the waiter wasn't very friendly. The food was served quickly, but it wasn't very good. The quesadilla was extremely simple and so bland! Like something a child would make. I expected more from an authentic Mexican restaurant. All it had was cheese and no seasoning or anything to add some flavour. On the side of the plate was a spoonful of what I think were refried beans. I needed a glass of water and I was told that the only water they have is bottled water that is for sale! So I had to pay for it...I think it was $2.50 for the bottle. Real money grab. I've never been to a restaurant and had to pay for water! The bill came to about $50 and it was not worth it. I won't go back. One thing I liked was the nice location and patio across the street from the lake. Beautiful view.

Don't waste your time and $$ here!! Went for dinner last night, service was so disappointing! Asked for drinks twice, they never came. Was delivered our dinner, had to wait 10 mins for cutlery. No one checked in to see how our food was yet 5 staff members continued to walk past our table. Have never felt so neglected at a restaurant before. Food was mediocre, very bland!!

First time here, it was great I had the Chili Rellano it was really good!! I'll definitely be returning
