Review Spice Magic - Penticton

Richard Millard
I love Indian food so Spice Magic is on my list of frequent restaurants. Usually I show up for the lunch buffet which has a good selection of dishes (including options for gluten and dairy free). This last visit we enjoyed a great deal "Dinner for 2" special they have on. Service was excellent, as was the food - at a very affordable price.

The weekday lunch buffet is the big draw here, and it's worth the visit. Best time to go is around 11:30, before the kitchen and wait staff get swamped. There is a good selection of core dishes, and a nice array of sides, all deliciously prepared. At current pricing, the buffet is an outstanding deal, and a delight for fans of classic Indian cuisine.

Best Indian food I have had. Samosas were amazing!! We ordered off the menu, well after typical dinner service, and the food was all top notch and fresh off the stove. Staff stayed late for us with no complaints. If I lived in town I would eat here regularily.

I did not go to the buffet but their food is simply amazing. Their samosas are the best I have tried, the butter chicken was so good and the tandoori was pretty good, too. I will be returning here every time I come to Penticton!

Went here for their lunch buffet. Savory naan bread and butter chicken.

Went for dinner and then lunch a few days later. The dinner menu is quite extensive and allows customers to set their own spice level. We went with 3 (medium) and that's what we got, which isn't always the case. I like really spicey but my wife not so much. Three lunch buffet is probably a 2, maybe a 1, but there is chili paste to zest it up. The buffet has a good variety and includes dessert (the rice pudding was excellent). Prices for both meals were reasonable and portion size for dinner was perfect (buffet is unlimited).
