Oh my gosh, I'm so glad I got to have breakfast at Shades!
The coffee was exactly what you'd expect from a well known diner. It was perfect. I had the huevos rancheros and they were excellent. The refried beans were so tasty!
My partner had the French toast and the slices were almost 2 inches thic
By far one of the worst Monte Cristo sandwiches I've ever eaten. Had ppl rave about the Monte Cristo sandwich at this place , do we decided to give it a try. Well the bread was plain, thin and sandwich lacked flavor and was cold. Won't be going back.
Long time customer and only open a few hours a day, no more early breakfast and forced me to go elsewhere and closed early most days of the week. Hard to attract your dedicated customers back for supper Sunday to Thursday. Seems like your not making enough money to keep open
Shades on Main is the greatest restaurant in the world. I went in for a steak, and they brought me a 20 ounce ribeye that was so delicious it would knock your socks off. My waiter even saved me from being shot! Would highly recommend to everyone in the world regardless of of your background. I love
Hadn't been for a while as we're usually in penticton on a Monday or Tuesday when they're closed. Not disappointed. Good food and service despite being short staffed.
As good as I remembered it shades is an establishment of penticton a diner that opened in the mid 60's I belive , but definitely worth checking out if your in the mood for a homestyle meal
Great diner, we had burger fish and chips and chicken tenders. All great, fast service, family vibes, heritage building. We will come back!
Love the food and great service, give 2 extra stars if I could
