Amazing bakery. Good variety of fresh and delicious bread and pastries. I had a nice breakfast there. The staff was friendly, the place is clean and serve a good food. I loved the Lite bite option on the menu. Perfect amount of food for me. I just added some bacon 🥓 😋

Great restaurant and very reasonable prices! Went for breakfast with my wife and very impressed with the meals. Incredible hash brown potatoes done to perfection. Large eggs with great bacon. The toast they serve is awesome and would be worth coming here for on its own! Prompt service by very polite waitresses. Most restaurants these days have increased prices to the point of almost not being affordable. We were impressed that this restaurant has kept their prices very reasonable. We plan to make this a regular restaurant stop for us.

Baked goods are phenomenal. Especially the Bee Sting bun. We ate at the restaurant and had a Rueben sandwich and a Cornish pasty. Both were awesome.

We would give this place a 6 star if we could. Wife ordered the breakfast with fruit (7 or 9 different fruit) all of it was really fresh! I had standard bacon, eggs and home fries. Not sure where they get the bacon but it was all meat very little fat, home fries spiced to perfection. So much fruit wife having it for lunch, with a cookie from the pastry section that was incredible. If you are staying anywhere close to this location it’s worth the drive.

Who knew? a this place is amazing. Just what you need to feed a hungry crew. It had been a long time since I had yam fries that were actually GOOD..hot, crispy and fresh with chipotle mayo. This BLT on sourdough with yam fries was very memorable. The restaurant was VERY busy but the service was quick and efficient and I was surprised to receive our food so quickly. I’ll be back.

I've heard wonderful things about this place and was really excited to try it on our trip to Qualicum. However, the service here was very unpleasant. It was obvious we were not their ideal customers and we were made to feel so. We went here on a Saturday afternoon to enjoy some brunch. We were barely acknowledged when we went in (while other customers around us were getting helped) and when we finally did sit down, the server came across very passive agressive and rude. I asked her very simple questions ("What kind of sides does this come with?" and "What type of bread do you have?") and I was given very haughty answers ("It's on the menu" for both questions). We were hardly checked in on and the server barely made any conversation (which I don't care about but it was clear she was making an effort with other customers). The food was good. Nothing crazy but it was freshly made and the taste was good, although they could've used more seasoning. But when the service is bad at a restaurant, it's very difficult to thoroughly enjoy your experience. I truly hope this restaurant serves future POC customers better than they did us!

We had a clam chowder, the famous burger, and fish and chips. The food was acceptable but not something we would go out of the way for. I would probably pick the food at White Spot over this. But Trees did have a nice small town diner vibe.

Where to start… service is great and is usually pretty quick if it’s not busy (like under 20 minutes). The people are nice and the food is incredible. The portions are spot on and the visual delivery is above and beyond for a dinner. I continue and will continue to support this awesome business.

I had been to this restaurant before, previously with my wife and 2 kids. The food and service was really good. So, we decided to go again, today. We had put in our order with the waitress. The place was busy. We noticed after about 45 minutes after putting in our order and our drinks not being asked to be refilled. Two other tables came in around us, after our order placed with our waitress. Then the tables that came in after us, got their food before us. After inquiring with staff. We found out that our order hadn't been put in with the kitchen. Then, we were told half the staff didn't show up or their shift today. That doesn't help but unfortunately every other table got there food, in the restaurant at that time. Plus, all the walk in bakery purchases got what they wanted as well. They did ask to make it right, this is why 2 stars is given but the 2 stars reflects our service experience. Then, with a two young kids hungry and not in the best moods now. We decided to leave and go the Coombs Market for a very late lunch now. We were very disappointed due to looking forward to this place again. Since, being from out of town. Maybe, we'll try it again. Though we were very disappointed this time around.

Last nights Burger, soup and salads and Fudge cake was to die for and the service was excellent

Amazing people and great food! We have had a few meals there and not one was poorly cooked or tasted gross. Always yummy. Their fresh baked bread is also amazing!

The waitresses served us right way ,,,,Cheerful ...friendly ...and the food was amazing ! Thank you Trees for making My daughters birthday lunch such an enjoyable experience lol when she said no to the cake ...the surprise peppermint patty with candle and all was so sweet !!! p.s you all are great singers ! lol

Amazing, friendly, attentive, good-humoured wait staff. Quaint and very clean atmosphere. INCEDIBLE food and desserts! Even got Happy Birthday sung to us!!! Loved everything about trees! My first visit, but definitely not my last!

The most delicious breads and pies! Hearty, tasty soups and generally, good sized portions (large!) - definitely will be back and would reccommend this cafe style bakery restaurant to all!

This is such a nice family restaurant with very happy servers, We walked in and were greeted right away and given menus, Service was fast and food was excellent. We will for sure be coming back again.

Treated myself to lunch twice now, both times got soup and sandwich. Very good soup here! Would love their recipes! First time was cream of mushroom then today I had their clubhouse soup...DELISH!!

New to the area, found out about this place on Facebook. Was really excited to see such an extensive gluten free menu, or options available. Had an amazing sandwhich and clam chowder soup (all gluten free!) I was there with my toddler son, had finished my meal and went to change my son in the washroom. I had left a few items in the booth to show I was still there. After coming out of the washroom, all my things were moved to another table and the booth was filled with new customers! I have NEVER had this happen at a restaurant no matter HOW BUSY the place is. There were ample tables available. I wasn't even finished, was going to order dessert but with treatment like that why stay? I'm sure the rest of the food is delicious but it will be awhile before I set foot in this establishment again with customer service like that.

Service was awesome! Food was awesome! So good. They were very accommodating and portions were big! Ambience is old and dated. I had the veggie scramble and they switched my eggs to poached upon request. Would go again!

Worlds best waffles. Not the cutest restaurant & service is mediocre however would come back every time just to eat their berry waffles. Seems to be a local favorite.

You know it's a good place when you see all the locals dining there! I'm so happy I looked at reviews for Trees Restaurant on Zoomato. I ordered the salmon Benny while hubby ordered the crab Benny. The crab Benny was literally a big piece of crab cake on the English muffin topped with eggs Bennie. Absolutely delicious! I also really enjoyed my salmon Bennie. We will be back next time we are in town. Just wish we had bought a loaf of cabatta bread for our ferry ride home.

My family had a great breakfast here today. Kind and good service. Great food in relaxed ambiance. I can see many locals coming in for breakfast so it always feels good that we are eating at a place where locals would hang out.

UP - VERY good breakfast. I've been searching all over Nanaimo for a good benny, and found it here outside Parksville. Prices are good, and the staff is nice too.<br/><br/>DOWN - Only downside is that I'll have to put on some miles for a well worth it breakfast!<br/><br/>OUT - This was the first time that I've had the chef come out to see how our meals were. That was great to see, and we'll definitely be back.

Disrespectful.. I've heard a lot of good things about the food, but that isn't my concern.<br/>I worked there for 4 shifts, before finding another job, and the owner never even paid me for the time I was there. <br/>The place is a cluttered disorganized place, that somehow manages to still make good food. <br/>The kitchen is crammed and does not look very clean. Not to mention how long the pastries and desserts sit in the case.<br/>I feel so disrespected that Susan didn't think my time was worth being payed for that I would never recommend any one to work there. Trust me there are better options. <br/>I wouldn't even support a business who treat their workers in this manner.

Wow what a dissaponitment. Have been to this restaurant many time two years ago and was very good and sadly today it is just horrible. When leaving to pay bill I stood at counter for a very long time while not even being acknowledged by the person behind the till with out even smile or a I will be right with you. RUDE. Food is now over priced for the poor quality. I will never return stay clear of this place.

Great homemade Burgers Fresh salads. Hand.cut french fries my fav. Homemade breads and killer desserts .Always happy to eat here.

Overpriced Greasy food. Used to live down the road from trees thought I'd try out there food one morning as it seems to have customers most of the time my eggs came out extremely greasy and runny and my bacon was cooked beyond crispy.. when i mentioned to the waitress that my bacon was well overdone she replied that's how they always cooked it didn't offer to replace my bacon or anything. while i was eating i started to notice that most of the people in there were not in there for food they all just seemed to be in there for coffee so I guess that's why it seems to have customers all the time cause the truckers stop there. will not be returning

Just took my family to Trees Diner for lunch. I was extremely disappointed . Service was ok , but the food was absolutely horrible. The prices they charge are a joke as well. I would steer clear of trees diner and spend your money elsewhere . I cannot overstate how terrible it was.

Good food. We found the Tree Resturant on the way to Combs and it is a good find. The fish and chips were fresh, and hot and not greasey. The price was good also.<br/>Service was friendly and quick.

Bread. The best bread I have eaten in many years well done I will be back, keep up the good work and good prices !

Great Breakfast. My friend and I were staying in Parksville for the weekend and chose Trees restaurant based on some reviews on urban spoon and yelp. I had the island gem. My eggs were poached to perfection, the bacon was crispy, the cheese bread toast was delicious and the hashbrowns were nicely seasoned. It was busy but the staff was hustling and friendly. I will definitely be back if I find myself in the neighbourhood.

What a gem!. Found this spot totally by accident. So glad. After five days on the Island eating (and loving) seafood, this Alberta boy needed a bit of red meat. The basic burger here is fabulous. Hand ground and formed and cooked perfectly. And the fries!!! Partner had a Reuben on hand twisted rye bread. Says its the best sandwich ever with beautifully tender corned beef and rinsed saurkraut. To top it all off, gramma (we think) from the kitchen came out to see what we thought. If you're looking for a great quick lunch on your way to Coombs, Pt Alberni or the far coast. Don't miss Trees!

Great food at a reasonable price. My husband and I went there for lunch the other day after hearing several rave reviews from locals. We both had a lovely salad and he had a bowl of hearty homemade beef soup. The food was fresh and delicious and the service was great. My only complaint is that the section we sat in was quite chilly so I would recommend sitting in the main area if you can. The desserts are to die for and can be packed up to go as you exit the premises.

The Chef uses only local or Western Canadian ingredients Nd the freshness reLly shows. I would return over Nd over again for the wonderful meals at Trees RestAurNt. Great job Tom and Susan! Great option!. We met the new owner when she greeted us at the door! They took over a few months ago. She was the bakery chef for the "goats on the roof" place near Coombs. We had their chowder and a salmon sandwich, which was wonderful. Friendly staff and even near by table of local people were helpful for the next day's travels. Tarts are waiting to be devoured when we have more room!

Memorable. Thought we would stop and try out the restaurant as we have vacationed in the area for years without ever having done so. WHAT A TREAT!!! Anyone can make a hamburger but to make one that is memorable...they nailed it!!! Easily one of the best three burgers I have ever had! Service great! Atmosphere was like being there for a family dinner...without having to do the dishes. Went back a couple of times while our vacation lasted...for the bakery goods and for another lunch. We will make this a regular stop whenever we are vacationing in the area again or to stop for a bite when driving down the island highway.

Wow!!! Amazing food. We just learned that this restaurant is under new ownership - the person who started and managed Coombs Market Bakery!! We had the Cod and chips which very light and not greasy at all. Large portions and very reasonable price. They also have a bakery at this restaurant with the infamous fresh cheese bread! We will be back for sure!!
