Review Montana's - Owen Sound

When visiting Owen sound this is always my go to stop for their chicken breast with mash and vegetables which I absolutely love. Their wings are also amazingly crunchy and tasty. Today I decided I wanted something different. The waitress suggested the Canadian burger which she suggested recently changed to Angus Beef. I was a bit hesitant at first but really wanted to try something different. This burger was amazing!! Perhaps one of the best burgers I’ve had. The apple bbq sauce was the perfect sauce for it. I also subbed fries for sweet potato fries and this was perhaps one of the better ones I’ve had. Sometimes it could be soggy but these were crunchy. I would definitely recommend this location and the meals I’ve mentioned. Yummy!! My mom had the fish, she thought it was a small portion but thoroughly enjoyed it.

Service was terrible once we first arrived, we waited 8 min before we were seated, our new server after we were seated was kind and proceeded to take our orders, we received our drinks after 20 min of being in the restaurant, received our food after we were there 50min, we watched servers walk by 15 times over a napkin that had been on the floor and no one picked it up until my my mentioned it to a server after a young girl almost slipped on it, the steak came out cold, the potato was warm and basically cold barelyany cheese or bacon on it, the garden salad was terrible and not fresh at all ,deep fried pickles were soggy,the onion rings were not fully cooked all the way through and was doughy once bitten into, the fries were good burger was good, but the onion rings on the burger again were not fully cooked , the bacon was no fully cooked and much like rubber, it was not totally budy for the 8 servers that were on the floor , london is much busier and has better quicker service, we notified the server we were not pleased with how our food came out, she offered to get the chef to re cook our meals we delined at this point we have now been here for 1 hour, the manager came to our table and offered to take our appetizers off of the bill, it did not really make a difference at the end of bill total, we will not be coming back to Montanas at this location , we simply came here because montanas is usually consistent and the food is cooked well , not true at this location to top it all o ff it was my wife and I anniversary dinner, and it was terrible..... we were also offered 10 dollars off our next visit at this location we politely declined .

Our server was great and understanding about the gluten allergy for my company. The nachos were a good deal for the amount we got. The wing special ( Half prices wings $7.50 lb on mondays ) was an amazing deal! Plus they were very delicious and cooked/sauced properly . Might hafta start going there regularly on Mondays 🤤🤤😉

A visitor to Owen Sound and was wanting a good steak. Unfortunately it was a Monday and nothing was open past 8:00 p.m anywhere. Thought I'd tried Montana as there motto is "grilled to perfection". Ordered the 7 oz steak medium rare. Half of it was somewhat medium rare and half was much thinner so it was very medium bordering on well done. I could only eat half as it was so chewy I had to chew it for several minutes before I could swallow it . Definitely not worth $23.00! I only mentioned it to the waitress after I paid in full, it was not her fault

My family and I ate here for dinner and had a great time. My grand kids had fun colouring on the table since they have the craft paper acting as the table cloth as entertainment, while waiting for the food, even if it didn't take long. All the portions are big and very filling. All in all, a very enjoyable time and would come again, thanks Pam for the great service.

I went to Montana's on mother's day with my mom. I have been before and the food is always awesome. We had drinks appetizers and we both had the southern chicken sandwich I thought my sandwich needed more sauce but my moms sandwich was dripping lol I think they put 2 sauce on my moms sandwich and none on mine. But it was still a good meal and we were in and out in about an hour and some. 4 pm was a good time to go as it wasn't too busy. I will definitely go back soon.

Went here for dinner. Good atmosphere. Food was good. One problem was with our server. She needs more training. Ordered cheezy garlic bread starter. It came to the table in a fry pan. Tasted good. Server put it on the table and left. We expected her to come back with saucers or something to set our snack on while eating. No such luck. So we ate it not being able to set it down. Very hot. Empty frypan was set on table edge. She brought our main course and the pan remained on the cluttered table edge for whole meal.

My wife and I were not overly impressed with the Owen Sound location. We visited May 23rd at around 4:30. Not busy at all. We were seated in the bar area by someone that appeared to not want to be at work. He was moody and we could barely hear the 3 words that came out of his mouth. Heather, the bartender and our server was pleasant at least. Our order was taken promptly and drinks came out quick enough. Our app was slapped onto the table by whom I'm assuming was the manager. Not a word from him. The antojitos were made incorrectly. Little, if any filling. It was mainly cheddar cheese. Never in over 20 years of visiting Montana's have I had antojitos made so poorly. The food was served by the kid from the door. Luckily our mains were good. Just based off of the service we received, we will not return to this Montana's. Work on your customer service, it matters.
