My wife and I David Dillabaugh have been attending the Panda Garden Buffet weekly for the past three months. We find the food most enjoyable and the staff very kind and polite, premises has always been in a presentable state. The one thing we would like and answer to is Peter used to be the person who you pay, but lately we have been told that Peter has retired. What we would like to know is "Why is Peter's name still on the receipt wereceive and are asked to pay the ususal fee. I am presuming that (5) is the highest level we can give on this.
Never had any issues here. Food is always good. Not as good as the Mandarin buffet but not as expensive as mandarin either. The only suggestion i would have for this location is to keep the man behind the counter/bar from watching over you. I feel like he is always watching what you are eating
Maybe it was just the day we went, but I was expecting the worst based on reviews here and I ended up enjoyed the food at Panda Garden. The overall selection of the food was good, though the sushi selection was a little bit weak. The restaurant was nice and clean with an attractive decor. Would eat there again.
Best variety. Love this place. They offer better selection of buffet items than a lot of places in Ottawa, ranging from dim sum to sushi (which is not the best btw, but it's decent and that's saying a lot for Chinese buffet sushi). They may also have specialty fish or korean style items which are great. The staff are friendly and the place is very clean. Also very family friendly and good for big parties.
FANTASTIC. I went for lunch with a co-worker, we have eaten at a lot of restaurants from here to Brockville (mostly buffet). The place was bright, spacious and the food was excellent. There was something for everyone and the prices were very reasonable (booze too). I highly recommend this place it may be the best chinese food I have ever had!
The buffet was good and service was great! Lots of food and variety! Left very full and happy!
We had a lovely family gathering of 16 people to celebrate Mother's Day. Panda Garden put on an excellent spread. Even though they were full to capacity, there was no shortage of food, and the service was surprisingly good considering how busy we kept the staff.
We enjoy eating at Panda Garden at least once a month, and when we have a large group they are excellent at reserving space for us. We just let them know a couple of days ahead, and they have just the right table space for us all, even though it was Mother's Day. We were pleased as usual. Thanks Panda Garden!
Not Bad. The restaurant is bright and comfortable. There's a wide assortment of food for most people's taste.....North American Chinese dishes (deep fried fare), sushi and a variety of vegetable and noodle dishes. The service was efficient and professional...not particularly friendly, but polite.
Nothing spectacular, but not a bad place to eat. We'll be going back.
The food Is pretty fresh. The place is clean and the waitresses are competent and pleasant. My only complaint is I'd like to see more rotation in the selection.
BEST CHINESE RESTAURANT !. I visited Panda Garden for the first since it opened and found the interior decor exquisite, nice soft music and very spotless washrooms. The staff was very welcoming and very efficient at clearing tables and most polite.
The food was excellent with so many assorted dishes, desserts and salad bar. Very impressive sushi bar prepared right in view. I would recommend this fabulous restaurant to everyone in the Kanata and surrounding areas.
For all the negative comments on this post as of Feb and Mar 2010, don't forget they just opened, had no liquor licence yet!
Give them another try and see the difference! You should be proud to have such an excellent restaurant to visit again and again!
Excellent food at a great price. Huge variety of dishes. Service is excellent. Bottomless fountain drinks. Very inexpensive.
