Ambiance:
East Side Mario's has stayed the same in terms of decor from as long as I could remember. it is suppose to feel like you are eating some where in Italy. I personally enjoy the ambiance at East Side.
Food:
Definitely had some ups and down at East Side over the years, they bring in new items time to time so upgrade their menu. A classic will always be their bread, soup and salads. Unfortunately I always only want the tomatoe soup and they never seem to have any.
Minestrone soup: this was very unappetizing, absolutely no taste
Parmesan Peppercorn Pasta: really good, it was flavourful, creamy and definitely a great pasta
Chicken Parm Sliders: in concept very good, generous portion of chicken, flavourful and leaving you filling full. The only thing was that it was dry, just needed some sauce.
Salmon: delicious
Pesto Sandwich: tasty, especially the parm fries
I really wish they had better pizza. I'm not a big pasta fan so when my family eats here I only get pizza but am disappointed every time. It is always too thin with too little sauce and toppings.
Waitress is the best ever!. My boyfriend and i went to this location last night. The food is always great but the service tends to suck, i actually had the rudest waiter ever here once (literally threw bread on our table while walking by without looking at us). Jill was so great! She couldn't do enough for us, was always asking what she could get us, drinks were refilled before we realized they were empty! She was so friendly, and just the best waitress I've ever seen.
Excellent dining experience!. I will be honest. I have not had great experiences with ESM in the past. However, we decided to give them one more try having not been there in a year.
I cannot believe how great the food was. I am Iitalian and a food snob when it comes to anything Italian in restaurants. We ordered the 4 cheese ravioli that came with such a lovely delicious sauce. The veal parm with penne and again this really great sauce. Wow! Not to mention the all you can eat soup or salad and garlic bread.
The service as well was great. The only thing I did not like is that when we went for seconds on the soup and salad, the second portion came with our meal. It was encumbersome to eat at that point. i would have preferred they waited to serve us the main meal after we had finished with our soup and salad.
We will be returning again someday! Thank you.:)
Good meal. You won't go away hungry and the food is always good.If you want a real italian dinner I wouldn't go to East sides but it's always good and the bread and salad will fill you up
Food is great and we always get great and friendly service, trademark of East Side Marios. Good job to the staff!
I ordered the seafood linguini. It was amazing and worth the price. Had amazing service. Nice to see the staff enjoy there jobs and the management in the dinning room. I will definitely return for the half price appetizers in the bar between 4-6 and 9-12 and when there is a Sens game on!
It is, what it is. It's East Side Marios. Spicy Sausage Penne was to be expected. Nothing particularly wrong with it - except being a chain and cooked from frozen.
Notable mention to our server who was completely on point for the entire lunch. Bonus for lunch and dinner portions.
A 'Like' based on the shockingly awesome service
Decent food good price. The build your own pastas and pizzas were great, but thanks to everyone else coming it is always packed
Good Family Fare. Children eat free Mon. Tues & Wed.!! Can't beat that! They are very flexible with the children's menu. Good noisy place to take lil ones!
