Never disappointed.... Been to the restaurant a few times/ Did take out Delivery last night and everything was amazing!!!!! Very impressed and will keep this as a mainstay family restaurant!!
Yummy food, great service, fun music, welcoming atmosphere. We were very pleased with our first visit to chillies-barrhaven!

I have tried a few things from this place over the past few months and each item I have tried has been great! Portion sizes are worth the prices. Every time I have ordered it has been ready in less than a half an hour which is a decent wait time. I love this restaurant and would recommend it.
Ok Indian food. It is the best choice in Barrhaven, so if you don't want to go far, it won't steer you wrong. The service for dine in is slow, though, so keep that in mind. The portions are large and the flavour is good.

My boyfriend and I ordered some take out from Chilies a few weeks ago. I decided on the vegetarian thali while he chose the non veg option. Mine came with Rice pulao, curried paneer, mixed vegetables, daal, raita, papad, salad, naan bread and a choice of dessert. I really enjoyed the paneer as it was smooth, fragrant but not too spicy. The daal was moderately spicy so I wouldnt recommend it for folks who cannot tolerate spicy. The portion wasnt too big since thalies usually come with little tastes of each item. My boyfriend's thali was the same as mine except for curry beef in the place of the paneer. The naan bread was delectable and fluffy. We also chose to share a regular portion of butter chicken which comes with more rice. That dish was good yet a little heavy on the tomato paste. It was less creamy than other places which might mean that it is slightly more authentic. Finally, the dessert comprised of rasmalai which was a sweet crumbly miny ball of dough in a fragrant sweet liquid perfumed with cardamom if I'm not mistaken. This was a solid place for takeout for those who live in the barrhaven area.
Liked it. Not very knowledgeable when it comes to Indian food. Got take out and really enjoyed it. Will return to try more menu items.
Awesome food and service. My Indian friends recommended me this place. I was taken by surprise to see the service they provide and the food reminded me of Delhi. The food was awesome and was reasonably priced. We ordered butter chicken, karahi chicken and lamb rogan josh and the service was quick and food was delicious. The Manager/Owner was very friendly and courteous. She even gave us complementary desserts. Chillies have got an amazing dessert called ras malai and Gulab Jamun also tasted nice.
I would recommend Chillies to those who really like Indian food or yet to discover Indian Cuisine.

Came in for dinner and had a blast. Our waiter Julie was super friendly and efficient. Despite the crowd, my water glass was bottomless. The chicken Samosas were delicious but it was the sauce that came with them that really shined. Happy with this one.
So we stumbled into Chillies on our way to Quiznos for lunch and boy were we ever glad we came here. This restaurant has an informal ambience but authentic North Indian food served in large portions and fraction of price of other popular yet similar restaurants. Their Thallis are worth trying. We will definitely return.

Delicious food for main items. I am not quite sure why this place is not hopping with clients...really I don't. I have been to this place now 5 times, and each time, I have enjoyed the food they prepared. The menu is quite varied, serving meat, poultry and even vegetarian dishes. I found the 5-course feast for one price to be the best deal in town; it includes a hearty soup (seems to be the same kind of soup every time but it is good), a field green and mango salad with a spicy dressing, the main plate (of which you have a choice between lamb chops, fish, chicken or vegetarian, served with a cup of fragrant basmati rice and vegetables), dessert (too many to choose from but I usually pick a kulfi - Indian ice cream), and spiced coffee; all for less than $25. Can't beat that! Service is quiet and friendly and there is ample free parking in front of the restaurant. Every dish I have order has been well prepared, properly spiced, with attention to small details that make it a pleasure to dig into. As I indicated earlier, it really should be a more popular spot for Indian foodies.
Fantastic!. I tried this place last week for the first time. I had a craving for some samosas so I went in and ordered a couple vegetable and chicken samosas to go. They were delicious. I brought some home for my family and everyone loved them. It left me craving more so I went back last night for dinner and again we loved everything we ordered! Started with the fried chicken samosas followed by the butter chicken, chicken methi masala, garlic naan and the rice pulao. Everything was so flavourful and so fresh. I highly recommend trying the chicken methi masala, it was my favourite dish. I can't wait to go back, the food and service were fantastic.
Very Good. Just had take out there for the first time,and it was really good and fresh.we will dine in next time,so many dishes we want to try.
Glad to have close to home!. I went for lunch at Chillies today and ordered a Beef Kathi roll with a side salad. I was very happy with the flavour, it wasn't the typical hot curry flavour, but a lot of strong spiciness I enjoyed. The roti was dense and moist and a pleasant change from the typical pita/naan wraps available in Ottawa. The salad was nice and refreshing too. All in all it felt healthy and satisfying for lunch. I have half of the wrap in the fridge for later too, so I would say the portion was VERY satisfying.
My fiance ordered the Non-vegetarian platter, which had a chicken curry, lentil soup and chick pea curry served with rice. It would have been too much food for me, but definitely could have been shared between two smaller appetites. He of course, ate the whole platter :). The chick pea curry was AMAZING :).
All in all it felt like a "lighter" Indian meal. Definitely going back for dinner!
The atmosphere was ambient, the food was superb.. My wife and I stopped into this place this evening by fluke on our way to go somewhere else when we spotted this little gem. It was one of the best dinners we've had in a long time. Everything was very flavourful and superb. We will not hesitate to spread the word about this place. Try it... You'll love it! The staff was very friendly as well. A PLUS food and service!
Amazing!!! My first time trying Indian cuisine and being a vegetarian I was nervous but the waitress new the menu very well and recommended choices for the vegetarian combo platter and they were all delicious, a must try!! And especially for all the vegetarians in Barrhaven and Ottawa west end!!
Loved this place! My husband and I are big lovers of Indian cuisine and are always on the hunt for a new place. Were lucky to have this one close to home. Friendly staff, good service and great food!
Truly excellent food! Everything was delicious and perfectly prepared. We stuffed ourselves on our takeout order. There is quite a bit of inexperience regarding customer service here - as I waited for my order (which was ready an hour after I placed it by phone) I observed a lot of dedication and hard work, but it is the chef here who really knows what he's doing. Highly recommended for take out - hopefully with some time their management of the eat in experience will meet the standard set by their food.
Finally a GOOD Indian restaurant in Barrhaven. And that's an understatement. It was my first time there, and grabbed my food to go. Chicken Curry dish was fabulous. Rice was fresh and aromatic. Chicken was perfectly tender, not overcooked or sitting in a pot all day. Very fresh. Somosa was also fresh. (Although min order is 2pc and I could only eat one). The portion size was good and the quality second to none. So I'd say I definitely got what I paid for.
I'll definitely return soon.
Excellent addition to Barrhaven. Vegetarian food was EXCELLENT. Diverse choices, flavourful. Nann Bread was incredible. Staff were polite and personable. Looking forward to returning with friends. One of the best Indian food spots I have visited. Better yet - it's in Barrhaven! Dahl and Rolls were perfect.
