We got take out. The food was alright, but didn't wow me and felt like it wasn't worth the price. The staff were very friendly and attentive and the food was ready rather quickly. Their parking situation is annoying, as they do not have a proper parking lot and the space they do have only fits a few cars and there is no street parking around the building. Ultimately a good experience, but nothing special.
Nice little place.Food is tasty but prices are high.Tried shahi Paneer ,Garlic naan and onion kulcha.Don't try Mango lassi taste is so so.Will recommend this place
I had the takeout Veggie Korma and Rasmali and it was absolutely delicious. Really good indian food. Would highly recommend to those looking for a great indian restaurant in Ottawa.
Went on a Sat night, wasn't too busy. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly we were served our food! The veggie options were plentiful, but contained a lot of dairy. Their rice is not made with ghee, which is a plus. The veggie pakoras were heavenly.
Been wanting to try this restaurant for a while now and I was not disappointed. We ordered aloo tiki, lamb curry, a veggie dish, onion parothas and jamboos. Each dish was delicious, although I found their medium level of spiciness to be quite hot and that obscured the taste somewhat. I have been eating spicy food all my life but I'll know to order mild next time.
The service was slow even though we were there before the dinner rush started. A friend joined us later and had to wait far too long for her dish to arrive, although she said it tasted great. The servers were okay, not that friendly. Will definately be back.
Easily the BEST Indian Cuisine in Town!. Aahar is definitely a must try! Food is always great quality wise, and the servers are always kind and attentive. I decided to order delivery the last few times I was craving Indian, the food arrived on time and was delicious like always! Next time you're looking for authentic Indian Cuisine, definitely consider Aahar!!!
Samosas.. Great food and service. Parking is a bit strange, but that shouldn't stop you from going. Really a must try!
Edit: Their samosas are a must try!
Excellent!. Definitely my favorite Indian restaurant in the Ottawa and Kanata area. The Butter Chicken and the Palak Paneer are amazing! No one else make Palak Paneer like Aahar!
Great Tiny Indian Place. I'm not what I would call an expert on Indian cuisine but I've had enough of it to get a good idea of what I like. This is a tiny little place that I think is family owned but I'm not sure. Our waiter was very friendly and helped explain some of the dishes on the menu we weren't familiar with. The food was fantastic, flavourful, filling and not oily which a lot of the poorer Indian food I've had has been like. Also had some of the best soup I've ever had as my appetizer. I used to live just up the street from this place and only went once then. I wish I'd gone more but I intend to rectify that now.
The lunch buffet is small, but tasty. I enjoyed almost everything I tried. There was one item I tried that was a cheese dumpling in a cream sauce that I didn't care for. I just didn't find the texture appealing. Other than that, everything was delicious.
Small Buffet. We went for lunch buffet. It was a small place with a small buffet. The food was good. I just wished there was more choices! The pakoras were awesome!
Great naan. Comes out of a proper charcoal tandoor. Paneer dilruba was fantastic. Would definitely come back.
Cozy and Delicious. Service was friendly and helpful. We opted for the lunch buffet but had a few items a la carte as well.
The buffet was simple, effective and plentiful. The service was warm, and inviting.
I won at Credit Card Roulette, but I remember fair pricing. I would recommend it!
We live in Westboro not too far away so we decided to finally check it out. Overall a very good dining experience. The vegetable samosa was quite tasty. The butter chicken was smooth and spicy. We thought the beef curry was average and not overwhelming. We also had saag palak (similar to saag paneer) which was buttery as described. My wife enjoyed the mango lasi. We would highly recommend the gulab jamun and chai masala for dessert. Overall one of the better Indian food experiences we have had in Ottawa.
