Ten Sushi is my personal favorite AYCE sushi place in Ottawa. From my experience it has the most consistency among the AYCE places I've tried. The service is cold, but otherwise fast and efficient. The food is great, though the sushi itself is what you'd expect from an AYCE place (not the highest quality and cheaper fish being sold as their more expensive lookalikes). As with most AYCE places, I feel like it's more worth it to go for lunch over dinner though, as I don't think the expanded menu is worth that much more, and it's not like you're eating a greater quantity of food.
My favorite sushi restaurant in Ottawa. Great choice for family dining. I super love their rolls. Always fresh and tastes great.. the Crispy California rolls however, always come late or not at all!!
All you can eat sushi lunch time
Total bill for two: approx. CAD$35
This is one of the better all you can eat places in Ottawa. While the sushi isn't too creative and the flavours don't blow you away. They make quality rolls and bring it to you in decent time. Tempura is quite good as well as the different chicken dishes. Stay away from the dumplings, in my opinion they're cheap and not palatable.
MY FAV ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT SUSHI PLACE SO FAR 😆
I've been here in Ottawa for 3 years and everytime I crave sushi, I always go back to Ten Sushi because I haven't found anything better.
||FOOD|| What I like about the sushi here is they are not packed with a lot of rice with the intention to make customers get full faster like other places I've been to do.
Therefore, if you go with 3 to 4 people, you will be able to try out lots of the rolls and foods on the menu.
Another thing I find is their foods are very flavourful and fresh. Despite eating here all the time, I'm always pleased with the quality and never get tired of their foods (but dont eat too often because you'll be sicked of sushi regardless of where you eat them lol).
It's really hard to name my favourites from them but I can list several here: The dragon rolls (both red &green), Eels rolls + sushi, mango rolls, crispy salmon rolls.
Others: Salmon and beef terriyaki, Shrimp tempura, Sweet potatoes tempura, fried noodles and curry.
||SERVICE|| Foods come out fast, orders are sent by ipads so it's very efficient.
Servers are ok, some of them maybe in a rush sometimes, resulting in plates are strongly placed on the tables but other than that, everything is quite good.
|| LOCATION || The place is easy to spot, very convenient to go by bus. However, if you go during weekend, it can be very crowded and packed so make sure to come early.
Price wise, it's pretty much like any other sushi buffets so I dont have anything to comment on that. Around 16.99 after tax for lunch.
Overall, until I find a better sushi buffet, I'll always come back here 😄
I am not generally a fan of the all you can eat sushi places but after a recommendation decided to give this place a try. This place is far far better than other sushi buffets in the city. Our food started to arrive less than 2 minutes after putting down our order pad. Service was so fast we thought they might be delivering us somebody else's food (it was ours btw). Portion sizes are much larger than other places so be careful when ordering, you'll have to pay a la carte prices if you don't finish. Quality of food was very good for a buffet.
I really had a wonderful time there, the food was really fresh and was flavorful. The service was fast, and the waiters were attentive. The price was 19 dollars during weekdays from 11:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
Your typical All You Can Eat Sushi restaurant. Quality food, good options, the service is lacking but that's to be expected from an AYCE Sushi restaurant. Love that they use tablets to order, FUN.
GREAAAAAAAT SUSHI PLACE! I will happily say it is the best all you can eat sushi place in the city. Don't believe me? The place is packed an hour into opening. Not only that, the decor is nice, the iPad ordering system is great, the service is fast and the food tastes great! I really like this place. Of all the all you can eat sushi places in the city, this is by far my fav. Food is fresh tasting, nice variety and above else, the service is great. Definitively give it a try!
Took my cousins out for dinner buffet at Ten Sushi , loved the food with alot of vegetarian options for us.
A lil high for buffet i guess but overall food was amazing.
Service was pretty fast and you order right from ipad which was cool
We have been here multiple times. I have enjoyed it everytime. We felt each time lunch and dinner are both worth your dollars. It can get busy there. We found the variety was great for what is in Ottawa.
Really appreciated that the kitchen staff prepared some items for me without the usual sauces. Sashimi was tasty and generous- especially the octopus and squid.
I came here for dinner about 2 weeks ago, on the recommendation of several people.
Flavour and freshness, I found it to be about the same as most places I have been in Ottawa. They had decent selection overall.
Our first set of orders came very quickly. Our second set took a fair amount of time, but they were also experiencing issues that night with their tablet ordering system. At the end they started bringing around sheets to fill our because it seemed their wifi network went down. We were seated way in the back corner, and seemed to get forgotten about a fair amount.
Overall, I didn't find this place to really stand out or be remarkable in any way. It was decent, I would go back, but I'm not sure I'd call it the best in Ottawa.
I went for lunch sushi during the week day and during the Christmas holiday. It was pretty packed with people yet the service was on point. The sushi rice wasn't falling apart and the fish was very fresh. After only a couple of minutes the sushi pieces thst I ordered came blazing fast. The rolls took a little longer but I have wait a lot longer at some other places. I wasn't expecting much as most sushi places go downhill after a couple of years of being open, but I will definitely be back. Highly recommend.
Food is so good, great variety. Probably the best AYCE Sushi place in Ottawa. Service is such a crapshoot. One time we waited over an hour for our food and it wasnt even busy. That has kept me from coming back.
Ten Sushi is probably my favourite sushi place of all time! I pretty much never stop talking about it whenever people bring up sushi. The food is really good and its a really good price if you go for lunch. The service is also very friendly and quick, and they've always been able to accommodate me and my group of friends no matter if we go in with 4 people or 20 people.

Not the best sushi restaurant in town, but if you're looking for quantity and hi-tech and fast service, it's a nice place! But you should avoid the desserts...
VERY GOOD QUALITY/PRICE! It was simply delicious! The restaurant was full but we waited only 4 minutes to get our first order.
Positive :
- fast service
- fresh food
- nice technology (you order on an iPad)
Negative :
- a little vit to noisy for a romantic lunch or supper
- ice cream tastes little butter... not good at all
- sushis choices for the all you can eat was not impressive
A great place to go! I will go back there for sure!
Very impressed with the sushi and speed that the food came out. There aren't many canadian choices on the menu, which is great. I'd definitely go back and recommend it.
As far as Ottawa AYCE goes, Ten Sushi probably ranks the best. They actually offer real tuna (not "white tuna" aka escolar) although in smaller quantities. I appreciate they have a good selection of sashimi at dinner, including squid and octopus! I noticed many AYCE sushi places in the Ottawa region look more or less identical, at least Ten Sushi stands out. Service was okay, not the worst I've had. The iPad ordering system is pretty neat and I like that we get unlimited soda included in the buffet price.
Always had a good experience!. I am confused on how this place got so many bad reviews and low %...
I have been there probably 10+ times now the first being back in October 2014.
The service has always been pretty good (Japanese AYCE service usually isn't quite as high as other restaurants, idk why, but like every one I've been to is about the same), the dishes almost always come out fast. I can remember a few times when it was slower/items not arriving but mostly I think it was due to them being busier than they expected to be on a night during the week for example. Sometimes it is hard to predict a sudden influx of people on a night that usually is not that busy. Have had a couple of times we had to tell the waitress it was the wrong item/we didn't order this, but I can only remember this happening twice in all those visits.
The food has always been really good, mind you I have a set of favourites that I order everytime and I am not overly adventurous. I can only remember one or two times that the Beef Teriyaki was a bit too fatty for my tastes, but some people like that so it's hard to say whether it is a flaw. The Salmon Sushi is just awesome, it always tastes good. I also am a fan of Unagi rolls, so I always get the BBQ Eel & Cucumber roll that they have and I love them.
I have never had a problem with leaving food and being charged for it. We have left a few pieces of some of the chicken dishes once in awhile (Seasme Chicken is not one of their better dishes for example sometimes the smaller pieces are just breading/too hard to eat). so I guess it is possible we just have not run into this rude behavior if you leave some food. We've never had a dish that was bad that we could not eat it, only time I can think was I decided to try their Mussels, I did not care for how they tasted even though I like Mussels, but my dining partner ate them instead and said he liked them.
They do need to update their IPAD order system and input more description for the items though to help people who may not know the typical AYCE items very well or for people not as adventurous and want to know most of the ingredients in the rolls for example.
No place is perfect but if you are interested just try it. Despite the bad reviews this place became my favourite south Ottawa AYCE after pretty much 1-2 visits. Have not had a bad experience yet...hopefully won't, if I ever did I would let you guys know.
Hands down best all-you-can-eat sushi I've ever had. Can't wait for my next visit!
Ate here for the first tonight with friends. Service was lightening fast. Food was delicious! Definitely returning here. We were all impressed.
Great sushi. Excellent service. nice decor. all the typical selection you'll find at any AYCE place but the difference is in the speedy delivery of selected items. Maybe it has something to do with the iPad minis that don't require waiters, just hit the "send order" button and off it goes to the kitchen. Price for AYCE is average but their "a la carte" is very reasonable and a good option if you're not looking to stuff your face! :p This is my new fav sushi place.
GREAT SERVICE! Sushi was amazing, lots of options even for the lunch menu. You use iPads so you only interact with your server for drinks and when they bring food. You think you'd be forgotten, but they are ALWAYS topping up drinks :) I will be going back for sure!!!
Great experience!. Went there as a group of 5 for lunch last week. I have been to about 3 different AYCE sushi places in town and have always preferred a la carte restaurants over AYCE until I went to Ten Sushi. I am Asian if that makes any difference.
Firstly, the restaurant is new and very clean. The staff are friendly and aim to please. The ordering process is extremely efficient and the price includes soft drinks. A real plus is the free and accessible parking as well as the large number of tables. You should have no trouble getting a seat and reservations are probably unnecessary unless you have a large party.
The food is excellent for an AYCE. The dumplings come out piping hot. The fish is high quality and fresh. The iPad ordering system includes food items that are categorized by food type (rolls, sushi, tempura, appetizers, and which include pictures so you know what you're getting.
The sushi pieces are somewhat small, but then you can just order more pieces, no problem! The miso soup should come out hotter as well. They only have sashimi for dinner which is probably partly why the cost for dinner is significantly higher than lunch ($13.95 vs $23.95).
My favourites were the pork dumplings, the sweet potato roll, the spicy crispy salmon roll, the shrimp tempura roll, shrimp tempura, and the salmon sushi. I also enjoyed the fried milk but it's sweet so I would consider that more of a dessert.
We're going back again tonight for dinner. Will see how much more there is to offer from the dinner menu and update my review.
Great sushi!. We will definitely be back! The food was good and fresh!
One of the best AYCE in Ottawa. We went there for dinner. Nice decor and the food was good. It was fresh and the service was quick. We will definitely come back. It has become our favourite AYCE sushi restaurant in Ottawa.
They're good. Fresh food, good service, nice decor ..
One of the best AYCE places in Ottawa.
Try it
PS, no deep fried cheese wontons - But they have deep fried milk instead. (rice pudding really)
Ten Sushi is my new favorite Japanese restaurant in Ottawa. The food is FRESH. That is the one key thing you want in a Japanese restaurant. I've been to some Japanese restaurants where you can tell the seafood must've come from a discount store. Ten Sushi used quality ingredients everytime.
Every table is given a tablet where customers can order their food. Simply select what you want by clicking on the + or - next to the item you want. There's a link at the top right to see all the items you have selected. Just press the send button and and wait for your order. Oh, and the service is impressively fast.
The whole place felt really classy but comfortable as well.
I'm definitely going back soon and will probably be a regular.
