New Ownership. Food is superb, probably the best Shawarma I've had in Ottawa. Restaurant has been fully renovated as well, looks much better than it used to.
I've been a long fan of shawarma and have found the best place to get it. I've been a regular customer at Sahara dunes for a few years now.
The service, the taste, and environment is amazing. Overall amazing experience, weather it be chicken shawarma or beef, different salads, perfect place to go for Shawarma fans.Great little place that makes delicious shawarma. it's reasonably priced and all the food is fresh.

Their chicken shawarma sandwich is my favourite, it is crispy, juicy and fresh just the way i like it. I also like their chicken salad, the dressing is awesome. And comparatively their prices are fair. Not forgetting to mention the service is excellent the owner and his wife are very nice people, and kind and very welcoming. The place is always clean which is very important to me. Definitely ill alway return to this place whenever i crave shawarma.
Awesome Food!!. My Wife & I been regulars since Jimmy and his wife took over Shawarma Dunes, they've added new equipment and the food is always fresh and delicious. Excellent menu and their sandwiches are to die for. We recommended Shawarma Dunes to everyone because you'll go ape over the food.

Tasty takeout. Very pungent garlic sauce. I suggest not taking this back to you office to eat. Take it home. It is vey good. My friend gets the shawarma plate and they can have it gluten free.

Glad I returned. Years ago I was passing through Bells Corners around lunch time and stopped by. It was good, but nothing special. I promptly forgot about the experience. Fast forward a few years, my current work schedule takes me through Bells Corners or close enough practically every day of the week, Monday through Friday. About a year ago I decided to stop in for lunch, thinking to myself "maybe it's changed".
What I discovered surprised me to the point that I stop there for lunch 4 out of 5 days a week! My lunch staple is a small chicken shawarma, with spicy garlic sauce, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, and lots of hot peppers. The use an extra piece of pita bread to absorb all the juices - a nice touch as it doesn't turn to mush like so many other sandwiches from other places. This combination offers the perfect blend of heat and flavour. YUM!!!!
When I'm not in the mood for bread, I have a fatoush salad with chicken, and spicy garlic on the side.
They also have other food that look quite tasty on the menu about the grill station, perhaps I will be more adventurous in the future and try them, and report back.
One thing is for sure - unless the staff/chef changes, I will be having lunch there almost every day for a very long time. Even if I move to another area of Ottawa, it'll be worth the drive!
