Few blocks away from my place. it is a goto Chinese restaurant for me. Chicken sweet corn soup and chicken fried rice with salted fish a must order if visiting this restaurant. Service is not that great! huge menu say you can visit the restaurant a number of times as they taste good too. Criticism cannot be taken. Lemon chicken was the worst dish I had in this restaurant. A must go Chinese restaurant in Nepean area.
Great place for people who don't eat meat, even though the tofu dishes are in a section labelled "pork" and the vegetable dishes are in the second "chicken" section on the menu. Ask for no egg in the moo she vegetables if you're vegan. The faux shrimp with eggplant is sweet and sticky, the Chinese greens are loaded with garlic, and the Japanese style tofu is light, crispy and nicely spiced. The server was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely go again!
Parking is horrible if you go at peak hours. Food is good but salty. We went on a Saturday evening at rush hour so we waited 15-20 minutes for a table. Service is similar to any other Chinese (or Asian) restaurants. Overall not bad and will probably go back.
This was recommended to me by my boss, as we're still trying to get a feel for the best Chinese food in Ottawa. We were impressed by the amount of different food available to be ordered that wasn't generic Westernized Chinese food. We had the Shanghai noodle soup, which was okay - the broth had a good flavour but could have been stronger for my taste. The noodles were thick udon-like types, I would have preferred something thinner for this kind of soup. The braised beef brisket in the soup was amazing though.
The dim sum was really good and big portions, though the xiao long bao was disappointing - there was literally no soup when you opened the dumpling. :(
Would go again to try other dishes.
